Default Worms in your mouth?

sorry for the gross post but a few other people have mentioned worms in the mouth. I've heard the critters hate menthol so I've been sucking (sugarless) menthol cough drops and it seems to be working. Tastes a bit better than Eco Vie! Mary

I try not to look, but feel and cannot ignore bites and new scabs, bumps etc. Yes, I have had mouth issues and I gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide, warm salt water, and brush with baking soda toothpaste. Menthol drops help too.

Eco-Vie gargle is great but gross. To eliminate is our goal.

Yes...and they are destroying my teeth...they are under my gums and teeth, and in my tongue...I am not able to eat hardly anything at home, so I have not been eating good...like living on Slimfast bars...which I do need to lose weight but want to eat better, and don't want to leave the house a lot, especially for every meal...and can't really afford to either...The main thing is that I see them in my fridge, the black specks and then have found that in frozen food, that is even sealed, in an individual wrapper, I have found "signs" of the crazy stuff that I see all over the place...If I eat anything with carbs or sugars, they immediately come out, and you think that food is in your mouth at the end of chewing and swallowing, but, hear me, check the little morsels that are left in your mouth...it won't be food...I have to do this between every bite, sometimes rinsing with water before the next bite...worms...yep...since I have not been eating many or any sweets, they have had chance to grow under teeth and gums...disgusting...whitish, bigger at the end where the head is, and tapered and smaller where the tail is....or they are like semicircular in shape...I have also found the black specks in mouth after eating something, and there were no black specks in what I was eating...

This has bothered me more than anything...I don't want to deal with this anymore...I brush, and floss and gargle peroxide... and still I can't handle it...I am scared if I suck on menthol cough drops, they will go somewhere else in my head, that I don't want them to go...like more to my brain...or my sinuses and nose...which are already bad...I had a tooth break off, and inside the broken part was a worm....when I went to the dentist, he had to pull it...and then he did a root canal...actually 2 of them side by side...when he got done drilling and all was done and I was ready to go, I looked down at my sweater, and there were a zillion of the clear shiny fibers all over it, along with what I think was an egg...I believe the drilling sent them out of the teeth, and I asked the dentist about them, because he had to know that they came from the teeth, but he didn't know the difference...I had a worm in my gum, and he put me on antibiotics for 10 days before the root canal, and the "swelling" was still there when I went for the root canal...have had them in my tongue and in what I believe are the salivary ducts under the tongue...that was painful...I saw them coming out of the ducts one day, because they were too big to stay in there...
I have become OCDish because of them being in my mouth...I see them in my coffee, and believe they are in the water, even the filtered on the fridge, and I have to filter the coffee sometimes twice before I can drink it...My sugar has lumps in it that are shaped like animals...so I bought a pourable sugar dispenser, but think I am going to start using little paper packages...you have no idea what an issue this is with me...or maybe you do... want meds to get rid of them....before i lose all my teeth...

Thanks so much for the link, Bubba! I just wanted to take back my original recommendation about menthol cough drops -- I was sucking them like crazy last night and while the creatures did leave my mouth, they relocated in my throat. Unbelievably gross feeling -- was up all night trying to get rid of it.

Which prompted me to run to the health food store today to look for chewable acidopholous. Couldn't find it but I did find a liquid version. Also picked up a health drink I had forgotten about: it's called Kambucha Synergy. It's a probiotic/enzyme/electrolyte etc -- 100% natural. It restores alkalinity, balances ph, enhances immune system, and lots of other good things. I was most interested in the enzyme aspect of it for my throat and sure enough, after drinking it, my throat cleared -- whew! Although I bought Kambucha Synergy especially for my throat, it's also great for the rest of your body and I now plan to drink a bottle every day. Just so you know, it's a bit pricey: $3.99 for 16 oz here in NY -- and it tastes a bit tart. Sorry to steer anyone wrong with the cough drops.

Maryok...I just had a feeling....that they would have to go somewhere else...did you read what I put in my post? For once, I was right, and sure glad I didn't try it...I said that I was scared to try them because I was afraid they might go somewhere else, like somewhere I didn't want them to go, like my brain.....and I have spent half the night...it is 3 a.m....trying to clear some painful lesions, so I sure wouldn't have wanted to go through that...especially because I wouldn't have had anything but maybe some tequila to get them out of my throat...hey...that's an idea...you know what always happens to the worm....DEAD

I too felt me teeth and gums in particular feeling bad in the midst of this, and have found relief in the peroxide rinse and brushing etc.

What i have just noticed is that my cats are now having trouble eating. They ony eat half of their cat cookies and leave the half chewedcokie in their dishes. One has stopped eating these past two days, as he is older and this is hitting him hard.
Any suggestions for helping cat's or other pet's gums?
They suffer and can't talk to us for help.

The new "white" listerine festures hydrogen peroxide in it. Might be two good things in one.

That's good to know. Just yesterday my husband was all excited to bring a bottle home from the store telling me that we could treat toenail fungus with it! I'm very blessed to have such a thoughtful hubby.

I have been treating mouth sores for 10 years, and have found some things that work best for me. I have to say, though, that I have not seen worms or bugs, but I do get abscesses, huge ulcers, and fungus which has turned into osteomylitis in the past. The hydrogen peroxide rinses are a must (I usually dilute 50/50 with water) about 6 oz. and rinse until you have used all of it after brushing. I have found, after using many toothpastes (natural ingr. included from healthstores) that Colgate "Total" Whitening Gel keeps the bacteria down. Orajel Mouth Sore Medicine is great for drawing out the granules and infection. Chloraseptic Sore Throat Spray--Soothing Citrus helps alot with pain and killing organisms...I read that Phenol kills the Morg organism...this is the active ingredient. If you are really desperate...use this at your own risk...1 tsp. Boric Acid in 8 oz. of water and rinse until gone. Boric Acid kills fungus, and my husband has a Chemical Engineering degree from MIT, used his knowledge and resources to figure out the right amount so that it would be safe. This worked miracles to break up the granuloma abscesses. Also, the best antibiotic to use against the mouth infection is doxycycline...this has not cleared up the skin part, but I found that my mouth was very painful and needed fast relief. These are the things that have kept me from relapsing into a severe infection for the past 7 years...the first 3 Yrs. resulted in major surgery to remove/debride and reconstruct my mouth/top lip/cheek. Good luck to all in fighting this. I think I will check out the Listerine Clear Solution...I have been using the Listerine Cool Mint, which seems to work, but the other sound promising.
