I think Meg is describing the 'funnel-shaped' lesion - that go down into the skin and you can't get them out?

There used to be a thread here called 'Deep Inside the Lesion' where this lady used baking soda/water paste to dissolve these 'funnels'. It burns like heck in the beginning, you can just put water on them to make this burning stop, but after about a month - they go away.

And, then she'd use Aloe to follow up. Is that thread still around?

I'm continuing to improve... slowly. Thanks LC for finding where to get 'cheap' DE.

I am unsure how nails could strengthen dramatically in just 18 days of DE use. Nails grow at about the rate of 1/10th of an inch per month. Any increased strength from using DE would show up at the bottom of the nail not the top. So I find the observation of dramatic and nearly instantaneous improvement in nail strength a bit interesting as it would be difficult to notice increased strength at the bottom of the nail with the small amount of regrowth which would have occured since the start of DE on March 19, 2009, just 18 days ago. New nails take about six or seven months to grow out.

COLOR] I started the Silica, on the 3rd day; my hubby and I were getting ready for bed and he said WOW, Meg ur butt and legs are looking really good! I said "I know I think my cellulite has decreased by 50% but couldn't tell bc the lighting." He said not quite 50% but almost (gzzz men way to keep us outa denial stage, LOL) I am not sure if this is in-relation to both the DE and Silica or just Silica bc I wasn't looking b4 I started the Silica 2x's a day in 1/4 cup O.J. I never saw this as a symptom, but circullation could be the symptom and loss of celllulite a side affect. Now I also take (long term) Liquid Daily Multi V's plus Iron, Iron tabs plus calcium, B12 sublingual tabs (dissolve under the tongue), decreased from 2 to 1 packet of Oatmeal (in the A.M. but added nut mix (unsalted) n a few M+M's sometimes, I eat organic fruit and veggies also, the rest of the food I eat is low or no sugar, no fructose corn syrup, hydroginated oils, except for 2 pb and j sandwiches a day (the only thing I can't give up and an occasional chocolate binge.) I am allerigic to evrything a person who has celiac's is allergic to, but haven't been tested for it, just the allergy test were done. I drink loads of H2O a day prob. 112 oz minimum. Now I am 5'2 1/2", medium boned, weight: 110lbs (flux's 10lbs either way), and currently don't have the energy to work out. However I have always had little cellulite compared to my 3 sisters (they got the height) and mother (I got her height), but my cellulite has gotten worse since I haven't worked out reg. Not a big deal, not even really bothered by it usually but who wouldn't be all geeked over loosing it! Hahaha! The lines on my face and crows feet also starting to go away, I am 29, not 50 now I am starting to fee like it on the outside. Bonus**** Bonus****Bonus, ladies!

I have found it is easy to take in oatmeal rather than juice bc it falls to the bottom of the glass quickly, but either way there is no taste and no struggle getting it down. It is powder but not chalky. I purchased the 10lb bag online and bought a couple of plastic cereal containers to store it in, using a medicine cup for measurement (I never double dip it). (I use it once and wash in dishwasher, OCD maybe) I am giving half to my best friend to use as well. She also suffers from Morg., hypo-thyroid, diabetes, sleep issues, iching, acne, chronic fatigue, ect. So she will also keep a record of how it works for her. She does not stick with meds. very long so I hope she can handle at least 90days to see what happens.

I dunno TCM I do not think Meg meant it that way (per say as advertisement). It is true that fingernails grow slow so I can see your point. DE is really cheap unlike some of the things explored on here. I think I will try bulkfoods.com and get 5 lbs of it and start putting it in with my food and eating it. That is hopefully as long as the shipping is not too high. If I do this I will let everyone know what I think of it.

Well I plan on if I am able to trying some DE from that link. If the shipping is not too high. That and I am kinda poor like amy of us. I am on foodstamps and no income. I guess why contemplating it because not a horribly costly thing.

LC, I am talking in my post about how it would be fairly impossible to see increased nail strength in just 18 days use of DE. I find it strange that this claim would be made by such a recent consumer of DE and even more strange that the claim would be framed in this way, as it does seem to mirror the type of claims one finds in ads for natural health products which are not backed by much (any) science. DE as you say is an inexpensive product. It may even help some people and hopefully not hurt them. By way of looking into DE I have found posts on other internet forums where people also say DE did not help their problems at all. I have not heard any "Eureka, this is amazing" from the little that the MDR poster Redibooks had to say about six months internal use of this product (I posted her quote about it earlier in this thread). I also notice that one particular seller of DE has been introduced by this same member on a couple different threads. As always: Caveat Emptor.

When you have a fake set of nails on and the are attached to the nail base, they grow out and in 1 to 2 weeks you need to get the base growth filled in again. My nails/hands were dry, brittle, cracked, always had constant cuticle tearing, bleeding, burning and tenderness. When you get nails replaced they have to soak hands and slowly remove the entire nail, with tools, usually my nails rip off, and I usually bleed from the area right past the cuticle especially during this process! My nail tech has been doing my nails for 7 years, she takes longer to do any work bc my nail/hand areas are really sensative and when filing/buffing with a drill or hand file, I feel the heat/burn faster than other people with less preassure and time spend on one location. Friday I went in for the two week fill/replacement (decided the last time we would replace the set at this apt. instead of filling in the current nails). More often than not I can go 3 weeks before I get them filled. Well I had to go Friday and it was exactly two weeks bcause they had grown like normal nails or at least faster than my normal nail growth. When I went it was the nail tech who made the observation/statement that 1) My nail growth was faster this apt. vs. my normal, I didn't get as sensative as usual and my skin was not cracked, dried out and looked healthy for a change and my nails did not rip when the fakes were removed, except in 1 nails lower right side, a little tear but it did not bleed or burn like h*** once the tech let go it stoped and he was able to remove it from the opposite side. This is the first time in years that I did not have pain in my nails or hands leaving the salon. Take it or leave it, but This is my proof, my experiance.
I hope this satisfies your doubt in my statement if not and you think I am here to promote the use/purchase of DE... I have stated where and how I purchased mine, I did not recommend the site, other than I went through ebay for safety and there were a couple different places you could purchase from if you googled the HGDE. I did state that we had ours tested to make sure it was real and it was 100% as stated by seller.
I can understand the doubt people would have so I would rather be asked an answer then the subject be avoided but sent unknown around me. If needed I can upload the current lesions from my chest and arm as I noted (their current look and size) in a previous post today b4 I became suspect. I can also show all of my creams gels tools tweezers DE in container, shower sink toilet w/ the DE setting at this moment, private emails sent predated between my Dr. and my best friend regarding these issues, this site, other research (again all before this date). Or any other proof needed that I am not a fraud. I have dealt with Dr.'s who doubted there was any issue other than acne for many years, other Dr's who didn't know, I have a family that has provided me the time to research and spend time documenting this disease and supporting me in trials, extractions, keeping notes and reminding me. If you feel I need to provide proof let me know, it's no prob. on this end.

I would aslo like to state that my verbage is due to an education followed by United States Army Service, where I served over seas, and at 20 I was a U.S. Veteran. I then became an Executive for VWoA when my service time was up, and then an Exec. for the Target Corp. So my verbage would be no different than that of a person who speaks/writes at a normal level when it at one point was a daily task requirement, as well as testing that showes I am above average in English/Writing Skills, per my Honors classes.
Again, my statements were where I purchased it, and repeated when asked. In another Thread (laudry machine), I did not mention the company name bc the request was not familiar with the site and told them to google FGDE. Come to this thread with any questions for ppl to answer.
Cost noted bc if you live in the US you would know that there is a financial schortage, employment is continuing to be unknow from one day to the next, and if you spend cash on multiple products when buying one could save why not? If I come to this site to look for support why would I not do the same in return? My enthusiams comes from an immediate reaction to this disease as well as the continued positive reaction that I have been able to share. No different from the salt/peroxide baths that I started 1st, however it assisted with the itching and things floated in the water my skin did not improve, and I was spending hours in a tub locked in a bathroom, yeah not sooo much fun doing every day to me or a 3 yr old.
I just felt like I needed to air the facts behind the person I am, was, and will be. I do not work/fund/support any company related to DE. I have never heard/purchased/used DE before learning of it on this site. I will never lie or give fake results in my documentation from use. I will continue to ask others to post their specific results if chosen to try it.
I previously have made statements that ppl who tried DE in the past may not have followed a scheduled intake time or did not take it internally, nor did they take it for the est. required time that many Doctors state is needed to flush and repair the sytem, min 90days.
If there are ppl who have done this and it has not assisted there symptoms they are more than free to post as well. That does not mean we all have the same disease or symptoms, again all the reason I document mine as with as much detail as possible, and post if I forget something. My private msg that I just sent to tcm: I am pasting the message I send bc I feel that this is a cruel way to address someone you may doubt, esp. if there are ppl who are not sure who to trust or if they are being taken advantage of. Understand that if there was a warning not provided by others that are long term members in cases of emergancy that should be addressed asap this would not relate. However DE and its uses are mentioned on too many websites for me to write or have a hand in, other people have tried it on this site and no one has claimed ill affects. I did not recommend for ppl to buy it from the same place I did, and I did state we went through eBay for extra saftey precautions. I do not sell or have any contact with sellers for this product other than the 1 purchase, that went through my husbands ebay account, with him actually making the purchase and teaching me how, and what to watch out for. I do not speak to anyone off the site that is a member on the site. Deb has read my post but as far as I know is not a member, this is my best friend who has the same issues. So I paste this just to make sure that it's ok to doubt and research on your own n with your Dr. before trying anything someone has stated worked for them, however if there is doubt there is no reason not to handle it respectfully the 1st time around.

I understand the question and the reason behind it. But to try and make it seem that I am posting for personal gain before asking me? If I didn't satisfy your doubt then maybe make a public post. Ruffled feather not bc you doubt me but you sent doubt through ppl who may not read the true results that I or anyone else may post on DE fromour experiance or prolong their improvements bc they don't wanna trust other ppl's help, ult. up to them I and there decision, I know but still kinda sad and cruel on my end of it. Hi Meg. please don't stop posting your results from using the DE. Or send me a private pm if you choose. I am interested in your findings with it.

I am on my 5th day and so far so good. The spots I had on my arms are fading fast. They were mostly red spots and only one looked as if it might be a lesion forming, it is dry and almost impossible to see. I am also using it as you do on my body. I just put some in my lotion and slather it on after my bath. This morning I put some in my toothpaste! Hey whatever helps, I will be there trying it. So far I am only doing one tablespoon in my oj. I will probably increase after a while.

I come here everyday to read and learn as much as possible. I appreciate the time you take to post your results. Thank you, DD
