Has anyone tried Diatomaceous Earth?

Not sure if this matters however I would like to put if out there for anyone that would rather know:
We ordered our first 10lb bag of DE from Earthworkshealth, had it tested by an herbalist practitioner that said the DE was 100%. Since then Deb was researching the sea shells and other items that make up the DE to see what qualities were the best pending on where you purchase it. She found another company that sells the DE called Freshwater organics, this company is backed by the Perma Guard label, and claimed that the Earthworks product is not even though the website states the product is backed by Perma Guard. Deb called Perma Guard to see if there was a diff. between either DE products fromthe 2 companies. Deb was advised to purchase through Freshwater Organics. (This was left as a vmm on her phone) There are different reasons that could play into where the DE is purchased from: Cost to carry a backing from another company, quality, ect. Now both Earthworkshealth and Freshwater Organics websites state that the DE is OMRI Certified. Costs greatly differ on the DE,
Freshwater Organics: 10lb bag $64.00 (includes s/h)
Earthworks health: 10lb bag $14.00 (plus s/h $)
Again both websites state: OMRI Certified.
If anyone knows how to verify which is better, please let us know. I will be purchasing from the FWO comp. to make a physical comparison, on my own. We all know that the more $ does not always mean better quality, however I also know that many can not afford to waste $50 on each refill if there is no difference.
I have not read any information other than to obtain the cost of DE from the FWO site so I am only providing information that was relayed to me. So please do your own research for your own safety as well.
****Make sure the DE is stored in an air tight sealed container and that it is not left exposed to the air for any long period of time, so you are not taking back in the items you are trying to flush out****

Day 19: I woke up this AM, and had a zit on the lower left side of my neck straight up from my shoulder, it was large and solid. I showered put the DE powder on and left for work. I just checked it and it is a very small bump and a little rough scab, I am assuming. I also had one on my chin/neck, it was small, it is now gone.
Yesterday I showered and washed my hair, getting brave I tried the Frizzeaze I used to wear all the time and love but it caused so much skin irritation in the end that I had to stop, this was with all hair products. I ended up using lotion and Palmer's Cocoa Butter as hair care products. Good but not great when it doesn't do as much as you want it to w/o looking like you haven't washed your hair in a week.
Anyway, I ended up not drying my hair and leaving it in a turby towel for the remainder of the day.... ohhhh NOT GOOD! I wash itching my scalp so bad that I had to rewash my hair with shampoo mixed with DE 2xs and towel dried it then adding the DE powder into it letting it air dry the rest before bed. Ahhhhhh relief! Worried I thought if I applied the Frizeaze and dry immediatly after will I still have the same issue. So I did; wore it to work and had no issues with my scalp or itching anywhere else, today. Def. will not leave it wet w/ product again! Restroom use is still more than usual, in both areas, #2 is green, as well but solid. My son as well. We are making sure he is staying well hydrated. The dogs #2 has turned WHITE, not sure why this is?
My skin is still improving and I only had to use a small amount *2 pumps* of liquid cover up this AM, then I took the DE powder and in a tray mixed it with the liquid (after I let the liquid air dry for a while, semi hard), I used this as powder on top, not perfect less liquid next time more DE, maybe. I did look a lil oily and blotted half way through the day. I do not have to wear A and D ointment through out the day while at work or home on hands esp. I also like the Silica gel on my eye lids and under too. I put it on my lips and my sons lips. I also put it on my face and neck before bed, mixed with the DE.
Has anyone noticed energy levels raise at all? I know I can not take it before bed bc I don't sleep on it, but over all energy not really seeing anything major. I have been on painkillers for 3 days bc I popped out an upper rib and knot under shoulder blade, so sleep is off too.
I can still tell I am not having anxiety issues at all since I have been on the DE, I am all around calmer. I do not get irritated as easy or as much.

I'm thinking... since there's so many toxins involved with myself that I might want to add some Activated Charcoal? I haven't read about the 'filtering' process that DE does?

Does anyone know? Is taking Activated Charcoal probably redundant?

is that Frizzease from John Frieda? Look if it has nanoparticles in it...
titan oxide or zinc oxide. That could explain your itching. Folks stay away from that stuff!!

Hi Kat I use the frizz ease by John Frieda, will think again before using it..

funnily enough the coll/silver seems to be making my hair go straighter, the only thing is it sticks out sideways, & is full of electricity,Static,I look like I've had an electric shock when I brush it, Oh well the silver seems to be helping so I'll put up with the hair....Spots ...

I wash my hair with silver shampoo..not always...I switch. Silver kills the bacteria and fungi. Yes that's right..I walk around like a martain too with a little antenna on top of my head

Stop using shampoo with all those chemicals in it. Try to get shampoo
with natural ingredients like ...olive leaf extract, tea tree oil, dead sea salt or nettle.

I will post when it arrives and I start the new companies DE. It's a wait and see thing now. I did send an e-mail to the Earthworks Health Co. regarding the seals labels ect. this AM. I did get a vmm back a little while ago, but was not able to answer. I will call later this afternoon or tomorrow AM. I just wanted to put some links up for those that want to read more about the DE, tests that were suppose to be completed by colleges and doctors. I have not researched the tests or who has done them. I am still trying to hunt down as much as possible, since a lot is based of off people's opinion for dosage and how many times per day. But for now here is further reading. I would look through the entire site as you find time. Some was info I already read and other stuff was new....
