sometimes bad habits can be good.

well, i have to admit i have some vices. i smoke and occasionally drink now that i am sick in particular. well, now i remember why i drink about every other day some. true i have nothing for pain, so yes if an attack bad be more inclined to drink just enough to relax take the edge off. well, haven't drunk anything in over 3 days and guess what? now i remember what the other reason was. a few months ago, when pretty miserable awoke to find lesion bumps starting with the critters in there. trying to start around my gums, and my lips like 3 in each area. well, i was hurting bad too at the time, got little bottle of brandy. i drank it, and next morning critters were all dead and bumps gone. (they were just starting up but hurt ) we know the feeling however, of the bumps starting with the black specks in them. we won't even go into the topic of worms some of us keep for company in our mouths. nor disintegrated teeth, no not even. yes i do the oral steps to keep my mouth clean. but lips, are another matter. well now have one nest trying to start in upper, lip sweet. so, since hubbie's paycheck was delayed because of snow, i can't go that option. it stinks don't even want anything. but would get something with this starting up. well, i have an option. we'll get to my solution in a minute, im sure you'll enjoy it. i will say, though dr. h was shocked disease was not in mouth or on lips. yes know lowers immune sytem bad for liver and sugar is bad for us from it, so i do so only im moderation. as for smoking, yes cancer bad poison also depletes vitamin a and c and lowers immune system. i am just awful, yes simply dreadful and the AMA should spank me quite soundly. also, bad and evil a molten fire being built in a special place even now as we speak. now that we have dispensed with the formalities, i will say smoked before ill and caught this crap early enough to where been keeping things in check pretty well. i don't have pain infection or worms in lungs either. yes i still smoke folks, lessens pain sharpens awareness, and seems to be a natural pesticide (remember blackleaf40? ) well, yes we know the negatives of these vices, but in my case choosing the lesser evils for myself. at least till get my catheter and iv meds from my good ol' doc h. yee haw! well think of this: even the maligned can have something positive , the nicotine also courses through my blood, coats my mouth lungs and protects them with nice tar inside. the alcohol the lil' bit i have, is a natural antiseptic, touches my lips too, relaxes me and helps turn down extreme pain a notch. unfortunately with a disease such as this, things are not always as neat and tidy as we would like. oh, booger. NOT recommending these bad habits by any means, folks. well, remember folks said i am broke? well, let's see what old lady colorado pulled out of her bag of tricks to stop it from spreading! oh youll love it, so glamorous and all. for my lips i shall lavish them with blackseed cream. good stuff with cumin and camphor. good for lesions and bumps and parasites oh my! there is something you should know about blackseed cream, for one thing it is BLACK! heh heh, looks like old fashioned drawing salve, which in turn looks like black doo doo. so if you would like the thirty second goth look, now you know how to get it! (man i wish i had some hotice or something, this STINKS! i think i'll stick to my moderate vices for now, thank you. (LC)

Dear Lady Colorado....You are a nut....too funny...you are one hot babe with that black stuff on your lips...I have a better idea for you to try on your lips when you can get out...It is the Blistek in a tube like chapstick, but it is more of a gloss...they also have a roller ball kind that glides on clear, and it is a liquid, and that menthol may help keep them away...of course, it might keep your husband away too...kidding...I am having trouble with my lips too, so I am going to try it too...I had some but, I have no idea what I did with it...imagine that...

I am calling the TN doctor tomorrow, a=I figure that since I have been like this for almost 6 months now(I think much longer, but the crawly sensations and specks and such started then), when I thought I had Scabies or something...the Norwegian Crusted Scabies...no, just delusional....yeah, whatever...I will be so thankful to get on some meds, but I think more than that, I will finally be glad to get the diagnosis that I should have been given 6 months ago, or heck, just told that I had some type of parasite or parasite(s)...like I KNEW THAT I HAD...the whole thing just makes me mad when I think about it...my family thinking I am seeing things, and not listening or looking, just the same as the doctors...I just pray that this doctor definitely believes in Morgellon's Disease....and that I am not his first patient...I guess that I can try to get him to call Dr. H or follow his protocol...I want this gone, and I want it gone now...and above all...I want to be treated with kindness and compassion, unlike all the 5 doctors that I saw in the last 6 months...no rushing in and rushing out...They listed his email address, so I think I will send him a head's up before my appointment...what a relief it will be to STOP this nightmare...I also want to say that I hope everyone that plans to use a name off the list, and make an appointment, has good luck, and finally good health...Kentucky haze

It's good to see that you can keep a sense of humor through all this. I did get a chuckle from your post and photo. Your lips look really sexy! At least your skin looks clear on your face. You are too cute!

they do make good chocolate for diabetics sweetened with Walgreen's now. in family dollar stores and sometimes Walgreen's drugstore sometimes see it carried. can try Walmart too, with the diet bars which are low carb covered in malitol sweetened choclate. i have even seen recess' peanut butter , choclate turtles, and peppermint patties.

i tend to stay away from menthol cigarettes. the menthol crystals have a tenency for one to retain fluid in one's lungs.

As a diabetic AND a serious chocoholic, let me tell you that unless you can JUST eat 1-2 tiny little pieces, DON'T go for that sugarless chocolate!! It usually tastes just great, BUT manitol & sorbitol have NO calories and are "sugarless" because humans cannot digest or absorb them! and if you eat very much, SURPRISE! it's JUST like eating a whole package of EX-LAX! Yummy! NO chocolate is worth that, sorry to say.

I just love you LadyC -- I smoke too! And yes, I'm ashamed, feel guilty about it, need to quit, etc etc-- but I have kind of wondered if maybe smoking did take a bit of the edge off my symptoms. Like you, I have had a few worms in my mouth, but nothing major. I've read so much about people having terrible problems with their teeth and long wondered why I was spared this particular hell.

To hear there's a positive side to my very guilty pleasure -- well you absolutely made my day! And maybe I'll just have to add another treatment to my daily regimen: margaritas! Thanks for putting a smile on my face, Lady C! Mary
