Default Lamisil Day 46

Lamisil/Terbinafine Day 46, 250 mg's daily.

Fuzzball extravaganza. Today quite a lot of the fuzz fibrils came out after showering with Nizrole. This has not been an easy process. I’ve had days where I’ve awoken to a face which looks like its had dermabrasion x10, all red and peeling on eyelids especially.

It has felt like two steps forward, three steps back since I’ve started this medication.
Luckily my husband has kept me on course or I would have quit this med long before now.

It seems when these things die they create some pain and swelling in the surrounding joints and tissue which I’ve experienced mainly in my knuckles and shoulders, feet and knees, then after the skin starts peeling and the fiber fuzz sloughs off then the healing proceeds.

This process repeats again and again. I just want to know that there IS an end to the process in the positive. My husband is having great results from the Lamisil/terbinafine after twenty or so days but he was never as infected as badly as me and really has had very few lesions and even less fuzz fibers like me.

So, I’m going to stay the course, forever hopeful that this treatment continues the healing process from whatever this nightmare is.

All for now,

Morgan

Morgan Hi,
I think I remember you saying that you used the cream on your hands and it helped. Are you still using it and is it still helping? I can't get a hold of the pills and don't know if I could handle what you discribe. I got the same painful reaction in joints and bones when I would rub down with alcohol and hand sanitizer. Alot of stuff rolls up and off, but I hurt so bad I couldn't raise my arms.

Thanks,

Claudia

Hey Claudia,

The answer to your question is yes I am still using the cream terbinafine to spot treat on hands, feet and face mostly. If you live in the states the least expensive for the largest tube can be found at Target stores in their own house brand.

All for now,

Morgan

Well folks,

I'm still lurking....lol. I've not forgotten about you fine people and this website but just have had some major life changes occur in the past few months.

Here is my update if anyone still cares about the Lamisil/Terbinafine, oral treatments.
Me and my spouse reached our ninetieth day on March 14th and guess what?

Yes, I still have Morgellons. Big surprise. Just kidding.

I'm still going at this as a disseminated fungus in my case at least.
The bottom line is......The terbinafine/lamisil just seemed to plateau after so many months. It did work but leveled off over time.

We are both now taking oral Ketoconazole 200 mg a day. We started on March 15th.

Some fungal infections....especially persistant ones (valley fever) as an example may take up to six months or more to treat...or life as necessary.

I'm still plugging along. I hope you all are doing well in your fight against this disease. We have by no means given up and continue along the anti-fungal lines.

Lots of love,

Morgan
