Dear Friends, I wanted to share something which I've discovered to be of help against this disease. It is not something to necessarily ADD to your lives but rather to REMOVE. That is anti-bacterial pump hand soap so many folks use on a daily basis without a second thought. I don't know about you but I've gotten to the point where my and some of my family members hands are cracking and bleeding from this disease. For a long time I've been showering in my neem shampoo and I've noticed when the filaments are removed and come out the healing begins. Then it occurred to me that I was using an anti-fungal in the shower and then turning around and using and anti-bacterial to wash my hands and dishes in. DUH to me!!! It is a well known fact that anti-bacterials make fungal infections worse. Anyone who has taken antibiotics and ended up with a cadida infection from hell can very well testify to this fact. Well, I then replaced all dispensers with neem that I have been showering with for lack of a better replacement (just plain softsoap without anti-bacterials) would work as well. After ONE weeks use......all of our hands look and feel better. I've even stopped using hand sanitizer. I'm going to let my body start using it's natural means to fight this and try to help my body use its natural defense mechanisms. Which are natural BACTERIA in and on my body. Don't get me wrong. Hygeine is essential, essentially against flu and germs but I believe that a good soap will suffice in this arena. Don't you? P.S. After visiting a family member and going back to the anti-bacterial hand soap usage....the hands got worse for a few days that I was there. Morgan

Hi Morgan, About that well-known fact that anti-bacterials making fungal infections worse.... I agree that it's not a good idea to use antibacterial soaps on your hands and body continually. regular soap is sufficient in that it actually lifts the bacteria off the skin to be washed away. The reason people have a major flare-up of candida after taking antibiotics is because the antibiotics destroy ALL of the bacteria in the body, including the good bacteria, (flora) which keeps the candida in check. I use Selsun Blue in she shower on my hair then rub over my body as well and let it soak in a bit before rinsing. Also put some of the foam up el noso, in earso, and on face-o (eyebrows, eyelashes) before rinsing off. Then follow up with DSP cream after drying off. I think if there are any cuts on hands or fingers, it wouldn't hurt to wash with an antibacterial soap to keep any hovering bad bacteria from entering the body, though. Just my opinion, o course ;-) Cheers, Kritts

Morgan - I found a fabulous shampoo in the health food store (no chemicals, all organic ingredients). Make my hair feel wonderful! Well, I looked online to see if they made body soap, and was thrilled to see their line! Pure Life Soap Co. I am going to order the volcanic, which draws toxins out of the skin. Also the seaweed, which oxygenates and the chamomile, an anti-inflammatory. Staying away from chemicals has been my best friend in this battle. SS
