Researchers at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in America have found that patients in the early stages of the most common form of leukaemia may respond well to taken supplements of a green tea extract.

My TCM guy would love to see this research. I will have to copy the article Carla and take it to him the next time I go. He's told me for years to drink green tea every day so I would not get cancer. If it can control cancer in the blood this well I think I can see his point now. Blood circulates in every area of the body and would carry all types of cancer cells not just those which cause leukemia. Anyway, he loves it when science proves TCM right because he says they have known much of this from thousands of years of observation.

The other method of using TCM herbs is to brew the broth then put part of the broth into the bath water (just the broth not the herbs). I don't recall which ones are most suitable, and they are not identical as the mixture for internal consumption, but if a couple of those plus green tea were used in a bath I bet it would be useful in helping the skin problems. I'll look it up and post here when I find out what the names are but it may take me a little while to find the names.

After much internal debate I'm going to visit my friend's home and take a look in person. I'll be reasonably careful, but I figure if this illness is caused by a pathogen (vs an autoimmune disease) and it is running around I'll be exposed to it eventually anyway. I want to examine the skin and also the home environment. This individual works outdoors about 50% of the time at the job.... so who knows what my friend might have been exposed to.
