Default A fantastic TREATMENT blog

I read the two LONG, carefully, WELL-written entries of this amazing blog today and was simply blown away! Morgellons Helper: Introduction and Intent of Blog

The blog is written by a Chiropractor named Camile who has Morgellons, and is doing a fantastic job treating herself with healthy, immune-boosting, natural therapies. She clearly states how to find, use, and apply most of the treatments that she is following with such good results. She offers help without any attempts to sell anything, or convince anyone. It is remarkable, refreshing, upbeat, and has several new product/herb ideas that I haven't heard about yet.

PLEASE let me know if you have use(d) these suggestions or products and how they work(ed) for YOU.

Beverley, thanks so much for that... sounds exciting..

.... Also, back to Marc and his treatments.. DSP etc...
.....
I think this is very exciting...As well as lovely the mouthwash . Marc also sent me a sample of 'stardust body wash powder '..... It's new too. I put a little (about a teaspoon) in the bath, and wow, I guess any fibres, threads, critters, bugs, seeds would run a mile...!!!! Don't know what's in it of course but one thing is obviously hydrogen peroxide... you don't need much, as I said I only used a teaspoon, so a pot of 8.8 oz is going to go a long way, and priced at 12 euros so about 18 dollars I think... I feel so clean and as if nothing nasty would dare to creep anywhere near me. Going to put hubby into the same water so he smells the same !!! lol..... then the dog... !

I hope someone else tries it too and can give a report. Honestly, the new special DSP is great too... stings a bit, but I'm sure that's good.

If I had these things a year or two ago when everything was so bad, it would have been such a help.... I'll give you the site again..... Love Hilly xxxxx

Just had an update from Marc at DSP on how to use the Stardust powder properly !!!

Using STARDUST as Skin Powder

Note: For the first usage, apply Stardust only to the arms or legs in order to be certain you do not have an allergic reaction, never use the powder without deluting it first with water!!.

Try not to swallow or to breathe it in, even in powder form. Make sure you have a timer or a clock available before you start this process. It is important that you do not leave the Stardust on the skin for more than 2 minutes. Start out in the bath tub first with your head area and work downward always. If you take a shower, work from the opposite direction. Don’t use Stardust on open sores or freshly shaved areas etc. Take care that you do not get Stardust in your eyes, mouth, or on tender areas. If you do, flush immediately with water. Use Stardust more diluted on the genitals.

Use the amount of one teaspoon and the double amount of water, scoop the Stardust powder into your wet hands and rub them together. When the powder has dissolved, use both hands to rub (massage) the liquid into your wet skin areas (You may also use a sponge.), don`t worry about the smell it will fade away soon. As you apply Stardust, keep the mixture moving all over the body for a while to even out the concentration.

Usually after one minute you may feel an itching, stinging or light burning sensation on the skin. This is occurring because the fibers are reacting and popping. This is a good response! You may also dilute the Stardust with more water, if you find an area is burning excessively, use a lot of water on the area and wash it off even if you have not reached the 2 minutes mark. For those with extremely sensitive skin, you may dilute first 3-4 tablespoons in your bath tube for a light treatment, or dilute 2-3 tablespoons of Stardust in an 8 oz spray bottle and spray the area and rub it later with your hands into your skin.

When 2 minutes is up, wash off the mixture…if you are a few seconds over or under, it is okay. But too many minutes may cause skin irritations. It only takes a little to do the job. Afterwards, you may wash your skin with your regular soap however this is not necessary.

You will get the best results if you alternate the Stardust with the Body Wash Lotion. Both can and should be used all over the body. Approximately one teaspoon of the Stardust is enough for the scalp, ears and neck, or the backside and the shoulders and so on. Use daily or every second day the Body wash lotion and only once or twice a week the Stardust powder!. The stardust powder can be used also to treat single pimples or small areas at a time.

Both the Stardust and the Body Wash liquid will dry out the skin a bit, so it is a good idea to use a moisturizing lotion (coconut) after treatment, or DSP cream wich is excellent to sooth and lubricate the skin too. If you have a heavy reaction or more symptoms as before, try spacing your treatments further apart. More Skin Symptoms means also that more Fibers move and force themselves out…This is good! Your Skin will begin to heal as the Fibers are EXPELLED! 1 pound of DSP stardust is generally enough for 50-70 body wash applications.

Using Stardust as Laundry Powder

Add about 4-6 tablespoons (1.5 - 2 oz.) of Stardust to a full size washer load and soak the wash for 4-5 hours in the pre-wash cycle or even better over night. Mini washers may cut this amount in half, or soak in the sink first. Fill the wash machine only half full to have later a better rinse off effect of fiber remains and wash heavy infested cloth twice and wash also the inside out. After soaking, run your machine all the way through. Then follow your regular wash routine. It is recommended that you spray inside and wipe down your dryer prior to adding laundry.

Stardust can also be used to clean rugs, carpet, etc. Add about 2- 3 tablespoons fuls to an 8 oz spray bottle and spray thoroughly. The stardust powder has only a small bleaching effect, anyway, test please a small area first to ensure your fabrics will be maintained,. or reduce powder amount. Be sure to ventilate the room by opening windows. You should also leave the room while it is treating and drying. This can also be used effectively to remove fibers in your automobile carpeting. If possible complete by vacuuming up fibers. Good Luck...

Default Question for Dr. Bev and thanks Hilly for more info on Marc's products

Welcome back Beverly. Glad to meet you. I have enjoyed reading a lot of your older posts.

There is something I would like to ask you. Have you ever considered connection to other skin lesion causes as a possible root for some morgellons symptoms? If so have you ever pursued any of those treatments? Lately I am wondering if this sort of skin infection or disease is in the background as a contributor towards immune system dysfunction which allows parasites along for the ride. There was one poster who tested positive for cutaneous lupus and improved using plaquenil. I have had some lesions on my back heal after I was tested and treated for herpes viral infections with no signs of any parasitic involvement in the lesions which healed over about four months. I remain on medication for the viral infections and will be for some time, although I do use a lot of TCM herbal formulas as well.

I still have one lesion on my leg which does show parasitic involvement but this area of skin seems to have been involved since I first became ill eating a fish which my doctor says probably had ciguaterra poison. It opened when I started using Ivermectin in two doses one week apart after being on the viral medication for one month prior to that. My doctor then prescribed additional Ivermectin in more closely spaced doses. Although much has exited from my body in other ways, I still have the lesion. I will be trying albendazole next. Since starting the viral and ivermectin medications I have had no other lesion open, though I do have some of the lumps in the scalp you mentioned. These can cause some rather severe head pain at times which seems different than a migraine. I can control this symptom with a TCM formula which pushes down upper body heat. I think that at some stage the parasites are in the blood stream and lymph system which is harder to control and cure, especially as I think this stage involves parasites which have some sort of chitin to protect them even while in the blood stream and/or lymph. My doctor remains hopeful that these parasites will clear over time as the herpes infections become more controlled.

So far I can say that some symptoms have improved, while others seem to worsen. I think that worsening feeling is actually coming from herxheimer reactions as usually I feel a bit more energy and fewer overall symptoms after each time. I am now seeing practically nothing falling off me onto the floor (the little bits of whatever it is). Only time will tell I guess if this will work as my doctor expects. He is an infectious disease doctor with extensive study of parasites in his background, but has not taken any scrapings from the lesion to test for what this might be. Still he did look at the lesion with a magnifying glass and that was when he decided there was certainly parasitic involvement in my symptoms. Prior to that, with no open lesion, he had felt it was only the reactivated herpes viruses, though he did humor me by prescribing the low doses of Ivermectin on my second visit which led to the lesion opening up. So some caring doctors will listen to patients and not doubt what they say, even changing course in how they look at what is going on with the patient.

Thanks Hilly for the extended report on the use of some of Marc's new products. Good of you to provide so much information about them here. Hopefully sales will allow Marc to keep his site open. Does anyone know if US shipping rates are prohibitive from Germany? These new products seem to be available only from him and not US distributors. Possibly one of the problems he is experiencing in having a good sales volume is the fact that, so far, there are not as many in Europe familiar with morgellons and therefore not as many are buying his products. With shipping to the US probably rather high unless buying in some volume, it may be beyond the ability of the ordinary purchaser to use these products. It seems the US has the dubious honor of having the most reported cases (so far) of Morgellons, but these newer products are only available in Germany, with the exception of DSP. Not a complaint, just an observation of what may be happening as far as US sales. It may not be lack of interest but high shipping rates since fuel charges have risen world wide.

tcm..... I don't think the postage rates really are too prohibitive for the States.... I know Marc has worried about this but what can he do. He keeps his products as low as he possibly can. If he had to supply someone in the States with all the stuff, they would then mark it up and then there would be the postage rates in the States again.. Why don't you do a mock order and see. I think all the stuff is so good and so reasonably priced for what it is... and it is brilliant. The thing about it all is that it lasts a long time which helps... I suppose it's a bit like us in the UK having to get eco vie from Canada... Nothing is that easy with this wretched disease is it ?

I had a saw on the end of my finger for the last few days and it was getting very painful. I looked at it with my magnifying glass and saw the usual black dots and a black hair in it. I stuck my finger in the new DSP and went around all day holding it in the air and tonight I can actually type with it and the black things have gone ! How about that... lol.

So glad you are winning tcm, I know you win some and you lose some but if you are winning more than you lose that's great.

Hilly xxxx

Default Co-Infections with Morgellons Disease

"There is something I would like to ask you. Have you ever considered connection to other skin lesion causes as a possible root for some morgellons symptoms? If so have you ever pursued any of those treatments? Lately I am wondering if this sort of skin infection or disease is in the background as a contributor towards immune system dysfunction which allows parasites along for the ride."

Sounds like you are asking if there are co-infections with Morgellons disease that exacerbate it. YES!! MANY physicians believe that NO individual actually gets ill with the "Morgellons parasite" alone. That actually ALL symptomatic cases are precipitated by overt, or sub-acute, or occult co-infections (or immune disfunctions) such as:
chalmydia, Lyme disease, Mycoplasma, HIV, Babesia, herpes, hepatitis, auto=immune disorders, chronic staph, "kissing disease" (I am blanking on the name-the virus that teenagers get, that can cause chronic fatigue...) and MORE.

Lay people have begun to document that the Morgellons particles are present in almost ALL healthy people that have been examined. Therefore some people are theorizing that it is dormant in ALL of us, until activated by the stress of a weakened immune system. AFTER it has become established in its "nest-hold" in our bodies, this might be another story, and the co-infections may no longer be necessary to maintain infection, or RE-Infect. For now, the very best treatment you can get IS treatment for the co-infections and strengthening the immune system.

Treatment of Morgellons parasites NEVER seems to eradicate them; because they are ALWAYS present in your environment, and if you have been susceptible you will continue to relapse every time treatment is discontinued. THINK CONTROL, not CURE. This is NOT a universal belief, and opinions will vary. No un-infected Medical Doctor, who is trained to eradicate pathogens with modern medicine, would view it in this perspective I am sure. However, MANY of us who have been treating it the longest, and have been through the full gauntlet of all that modern medicine had to offer, have eventually arrived at these conclusions.

I believe that ALL immune suppressing conditions should be carefully treated, and if anti-virals or anti-biotics OR herbals are the BEST treatments to more rapidly relieve the immune system of its stressors and allow it to preform its nature functioning, then USE THEM. Just support and monitor the liver and kidneys, and use some natural detox herbs. Re-think your choice if you aren't getting the results you want and the docs want you to stay on treatments that can suppress the immune system like steroids, or antibiotics "indefinitely." (I decided to switch to herbals and use a naturopath after FOUR years of multiple antibiotic RX. I DID have one serious relapse where I had another 4 months use of Injectable antibiotics a few years ago, since then.)

BEST OF LUCK!! (Did that answer your question??)

Default MORE on ANOTHER TREATMENT BLOG!

If you haven't read one of Richard Kuhns' monthly newsblogs, then you are missing a great Morgellons resource.
Morgellons and Other Parasites: August 2008
Will take you to his latest (August) newsletter in which he discusses use of Tetmosol (disulfiram) soap and a product called "Flora PM."

He collects e-mails from Morgellons and Lyme patients who SELF-report about products that they have used, especially the ones that have been successful or worked well for them. The most unique thing that Richard then does; is he THEN tries to regularly follow-up every few months with these people to find out whether they STILL believe the same products are working/why/or why not. AND we ALL know how adaptable Morgies are, and how short-lived a success might be!

His blogs are brief, they tell the important facts about how & where to obtain these products and HOW they are being used and in what doses and schedules. He is a very sympathetic, concerned, and interested reporter. He is NOT, however, displaying ANY level of sophistication in medical or physiologic understanding. He makes absolutely NO recommendations or discussion concerning the relative hazards or safety of any of these methods, therapies or treatments.

He is always interested in receiving more info from users of various treatments. In the recent past, he has discussed use of Lufenuron ("Program" pet medication) MMS (Miracle Mineral Solution) ORAP, Faith Healing, and many others.
