I would just like to interject a thought here.
Not everyone gets those deep lesions others get. It would be interesting to group members into catagories and compare what systematic treatments each have tried.

Default next day of baking soda

I checked, Its day six. Seems I can't amend the title.

It takes at least 15 minutes now for one application of baking soda to become saturated on the lesion so while I wait I have been using the magnifying glass and storing what ever specimans I collect. Then a discovery!!! I spilled some of the ethanol (ok its russian vodka) on my arm by mistake. I use it to sterilize things. I quickly grabbed the magnifying glass. Wow. When my arm was dry I could see only one or two little black specks on it. When wet, I saw lots. (are they in the vodka? no I've checked) So they are there on me, they just are invisible to me unless wet. That was a really creepy moment. They are on me, all over me. They make their way into healing lesions and collect there and that is where I see them in clusters. Then I remove them and soak them, and eventually they turn into fibres.

Stoli anyone? I need it tonight. Rough week.

I'll share some stoli with you CC. I'm sorry to hear about your dog.

My lesions were very deep... You can't dig them out. I hope everyone will go back to the first post of this thread to see what Carla compiled from us "old" members to help others. A lot of us are doing well now. We are still here to help new members.

In the white light,

Default Jonsi I beg to differ

I got mine out sort of the same way Crashcourse is doing and I have less involvment than most all. it is a hard way to go but it works, you can get them out, but they are much deeper and bigger than most would imagine.

The work to do this certainly is the work of the devil as it is painfull, depressing and long term. It is not tomorrows recovery and not pretty, just not for most women!

Do you think what you covered with skin is dead........................ Five days of GSE on that skin where the lesion/ TUMORS were will show you if it is or not.

Probably less than five days but that is a sure time frame.

Stoli's all around. Toast to my beautiful Holly dog, who brought joy to me for four years. RIP.

crashcourse, Radio Shack sells a hand-held microscope for $12 that will magnify between 60x-100x. They are really great once you get the hang of it. If you want to see those black specs or just in general, what is going on with and under the skin, this will do it.
Highly recommend.

I only wish there were a camera attached. It's like watching a freakshow.

You're going to love it.
Get extra batteries. At some point the light will get weak.
Just think, now you can obsess over your skin wherever you are!

Default microscopes ...

Zara thanks for the info. I will get one. I want to see what those specks are. (or do I?)

I got used to the several hundred dollar variety when I did an undergrad thesis in microbiology. We also had electon scanning etc in the lab. Lots of free agars, mediiums, testing, levels of refridg and freezing with exact temperature control, etc etc What would I do for that lab now?

I will save up for a good one so I can go deeper.
