Default Treatment Steps '08

Hi Everyone, I think it is time to update the Treatment Steps.
There are lots of new members asking what they can do to get relief so we need to have all the information in one place. Most of the original steps are too harsh and there are cheaper alternatives now.
Also what we need to do with our homes to reduce the fibers. Does anyone agree that carpets have to go and be replaced with wooden flooring?
HELP Someone tell me what to list.

Thanks for the confirmation Robin. I got rid of my curtains and replaced with wooden blinds. A leather sofa (settee, couch,) what ever strange word you guys call it.
No rugs. No cushions. No throws.
A steam cleaner is well worth investing in. If not a really hot steam iron.
Come on Guys . Who is going to help me or better still do it for me because I'm fogged.
At this rate it will be Treatment Steps'09

Hi Carls,

Treatment steps 08. Its a great idea - count me in. I've got some kind of list in google docs...I'll find and post it.

How do we decide on the most effective ones?

I was thinking it would be great for folks to be able to rate their effectiveness.

Some treatments work better for some more than others, at different stages and also for specific problems, eg lesions. So maybe it would be better to move away from instructions but rather list things for people to rotate and try.

I think we should definitely ditch all natural fibre furnishings where possible.

Thanks Carla for starting this thread

Thanks Jo.
Get it posted if you don't mind . We can build on it.
First we need a list of products that most people agree works.
I will kick it off with Hydro peroxide, salt,White vinegar and Bicarb soda and Borax.

Default Clothing tip

I am just starting out and would love a list of the best treatment steps. One thing that I have tried that helps me with my clothes is to use the Eco Vie mix as a spritzer when I iron my clothes. Both my washer and dryer are contaminated, so no matter what I do, my clothes come out a mess. They are rough and wrinkled. When I spritzed them as I iron, they become soft and comfortable to wear. For whites, I have used vinegar. (It doesn't smell after a few minutes.)

Hi Tracy,

That's a good one about the ironing. I guess somethings like Eco-vie will overlap with skin/hair treatment, environment and laundry.

Maybe we should have a number of lists:

External treatments - including clensing, moisturizing, lesion treatments, hair, nails and eyes.

Internal treatments

Diet and nutrition

Environment - home furnishings, surfaces, garden, car

Laundry

Pet treatments

Do we leave out medical treatments?

What do you thinks Carls, anyone else?

Jo xxx

ps - Tracy, I'd like to try and copy what you've observed with fibres coming out of tape edges...great observation ;o)

DON'T forget the Bug Arrest.I think what would be a good idea is to start a page of 'what to expect symptoms.'I found it very confusing ro read about people digging stuff out and talking of different types of lesions as if we all had the same. And we don't.In the beginning I didn't have any lesions but had these tadpole things hanging off me toes,(just corrected a typo-i put tadpole thongs) BUT no lesions so didnt understand what folk were saying.A page detailing what people MAY get ,describing it and ways to treat it would take much of the confusion away for newbies in other words how they could recognise things if they break out.Hope this makes sense to you -get to it u pc experts lol my roast beef n 3 veg are calling!
