| Some of you may remember me from awhile ago. I used to get 2 little tiny pin prick bites side by side for a about 3 years. They would gloss over sometimes, and were super super itchy. (maybe you can find some older posts of mine, just search my name) I tried everything to get rid of them. After I left my apartment and moved to a new place, slowly I notcied I wasnt getting them anymore. I got rid of the couches that gave me the most trouble as well. As time passed on, I got less and less bites. Now I am virtually bite free, with the exception of maybe a bite like I had before, every 3 months. I'm not sure if they were in the apartment I was in, the couches I had or the guinea pigs that used to be in my house as well? Who knows, but I know that my life is free from whatever those "things" were? BUT............. I have another problem that came around the same time as the bites occured. I posted this on another forum, please read the whole thing. After you read it, you can reply if you choose. I have been dealing with all these symptoms since the bites, so about 5 years. I have not gotten the bites in about a year now, though these symptoms I still deal with daily. I will never know if the bites were a seperate issue, or this is the after affect of the bites??Nevertheless I have this problem to deal with. I am in no way diagnosing myself, but I have compiled a list of symptoms I feel from what I have researched. Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is one of several names given to a poorly understood, variably debilitating disorder of uncertain cause/causes. Symptoms I feel: www.wikipedia.com Fatigue: Unexplained, persistent, or recurrent physical and mental fatigue/exhaustion that substantially reduces activity levels and is not relieved (or not completely relieved) by rest. Post-exertional malaise: An inappropriate loss of physical and mental stamina, rapid muscular and cognitive fatigability, Sleep dysfunction: "Unrefreshing" sleep/rest, poor sleep quantity, insomnia or rhythm disturbances Several studies suggest that while CFS patients may experience altered sleep architecture (such as reduced sleep efficiency, a reduction of deep sleep, prolonged sleep initiation, and alpha-wave intrusion during deep sleep) and mildly disordered breathing, Neurological/cognitive manifestations: Common occurrences include confusion, forgetfulness, mental fatigue/brain fog, impairment of concentration and short-term memory consolidation, disorientation, difficulty with information processing, categorizing and word retrieval, and perceptual and sensory disturbances (e.g. spatial instability and disorientation and inability to focus vision) There may also be cognitive or sensory overload (e.g. photophobia and hypersensitivity to noise and/or emotional overload, which may lead to "crash" periods and/or anxiety). Lyme disease: (symptoms I feel myself) www.canlyme.com Head pressure Twitching of facial and sometimes other muscles Facial flushing Stiff, painful neck (sometimes) Double, blurry vision (my eyes were recently checked 20/15, don’t need glasses) Increased floating spots Oversensitivity to light Plugged ears (never goes away) Pain in ears, oversensitivity to sounds Ringing in both ears Coughing (seems to be all year round, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little) Fatigue Pressure in the head Numbness in body, tingling, pinpricks Dizziness Lightheadedness (I seem to control myself pretty well) Irritability (sometimes) Feeling as if I am losing my mind (again, I can control it pretty well) Difficulty staying asleep (wake up to any noise in an instant) Short term memory loss (was not as bad 4 years ago, now it’s increasing) Confusion, difficulty thinking (again, getting worse) Speech difficulty (only once in awhile, when my head feels really spacey) Extreme fatigue (non stop, no matter how much I sleep) Low body temperature (my hands, feet and face usually feel cold) I will now describe how I usually feel in my own words. All my symptoms started around 2003 and I have felt them up to this day. (It’s important to know that I was perfectly well before hand, and never experienced any of the symptoms mentioned, except for ringing in the ears (tinnitus) I am not allergic to anything (not that I know of) and was extremely healthy all my life. I still believe I am healthy, this just needs to be dealt with. Since 2003 I have always felt a pressure/vibration/buzzing in my head. It makes it hard for me to focus, and most of the time when I am having a conversation with someone, I stare right though them until I realize I am doing it and try to focus again. I usually feel spacey, like I am zoning out. On most days, for hours at a time, or all day even, I get the feeling like I'm not really here... spaced out... like I'm living in a bubble, viewing everything and everyone from inside it. It is a very physical symptom, but can not be seen. I get severe pressure in my ears almost constant, and most of the time I need to “pop” them. It usually never helps as the pressure is too much. It always feels as if I am under water. I have severe ringing in both my ears (gets worse with louder environments) I sometimes see blurryness, mostly when I zone out and then refocus to what I was doing. I have quite a few black spots (floaters) that I never had 4 years ago. Sometimes I get snowy vision, but usually when I am out of focus. I have an oversensitivity to light, especially in grocery stores. When I walk in I usually squint, until my eyes readjust. Most of the time I look tired, my eyes are smaller, if I rub them just a little bit, I will look really out of it. When I sleep, I toss and turn, I need to be in a dark room, and I wake up to every noise. Sometimes I can wake up very hour, but quickly fall asleep again. This happens numerous times throughout the night. When I wake up, I feel like I never even slept, and it takes me hours to get into the day. I can be super tired, but still find it difficult to sleep unless the conditions are right. I also yawn quite a bit all day long. I usually struggle just to do simple tasks. Overall, I feel extremely tired almost every minute of the day, the symptoms are always there, even when I have slept 8-9 hours. If I don’t get that much sleep, I usually can’t function for the day, so I need to make sure I at least sleep that much. I need to relax almost all the time, and I make my life around me as peaceful as possible. Everything I mentioned above has been around since 2003, before then, I always had extra energy and never experienced this. I am a salesman, and I usually can keep myself looking in good condition. I look normal, act normal, and get along with almost every person I come in contact with. Inside though, I do not feel well, these ongoing symptoms are very draining on my system. It’s a good thing I have a very good head on my shoulders, and I keep fighting to go on. I am learning more and more as this has persisted for so long. I can’t let this destroy my life, as it has some. I have been to many GP’s, a neurologist, an ENT, audiologist, homeopathic doctor, done an MRI, electrocardiogram, and have had many blood tests done, to no avail. I am hoping that one day some doctor will be able to recognize the symptoms I have and then something can be done, or at least taken seriously enough and understood. A list of possible illnesses: (things I’ve looked into) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Lyme Disease Perilymph Fistula Vestibular inner ear disorder Labyrinthitis Meniere's disease Eustachian tube disfunction What are your guys thoughts about this???

| Hi Knight Rider! Have you had these symptoms since you had all the bites, before, or after? Do you live near a wastewater treatment plant? Do you have a dog or cat? Do you have mold in your house? Do you have any form of herpes? Do you like to answer questions? ![]() I've had all your symptoms as well and since I've been taking pro-biotics and anti-fungal treatment, I'm 1,000% better. I just found a tick in my back a week ago and have no idea how long it's been there. I'm going soon to get tested for lyme, but I'm sure I have that or something similar which you get from the lone star tick, which gives you a major stiff neck (which I just began REALLY having badly a few weeks ago). When you went to all those doctors and homeopaths, did anyone treat you with anything? Medication? Parasite cleanses? I'm sorry, but I doubt you're 'healed' if you still have all these symptoms. There is a parasitic organism or two in your body you need to get rid of. Glad you've returned to this forum! Kritters |

| Hi Knight Rider! Have you had these symptoms since you had all the bites, before, or after? Around the same time. Do you live near a wastewater treatment plant? I'm not sure by how close you mean, but I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and there is one in my city. Do you have a dog or cat? No, but years ago my mother had guinea pigs which got fleas. They are long since dead now. Do you have mold in your house? Don't believe so, but perhaps...it's an apartment Do you have any form of herpes? I get little white sores in my mouth every once in awhile, not much though Do you like to answer questions? Only if it's concerning me getting better. 5 years is too long now with these symptomsI've had all your symptoms as well and since I've been taking pro-biotics and anti-fungal treatment, I'm 1,000% better. No, I have not got an answer to any of the symptoms I have had. The ENT told me to take an ATIVAN so I settle down, and told me the pressure was normal. Thanks Doc, hope to see ya again! I have done parasite clenses to no avail, nose sprays, ativan still to no avail...oh ya, salt and water combo I'm sorry, but I doubt you're 'healed' if you still have all these symptoms. There is a parasitic organism or two in your body you need to get rid of. Maybe, Maybe not? Since I have such widespread symptoms, I am now more confused then ever. Maybe I should find a lyme doctor in my area...how do I go about that? Glad you've returned to this forum! Thank you. I wanted to update all of you that I am bite free. Kritters

| It's very hard to read the orange text. Try getting a lyme test at the Igenex Lab in CA, they do a more comprehensive test. I have most of the same symptoms, I tested positive for Lyme. Also CFS is the same as the Epstein Barr Virus, get tested for that also. Good luck! |

| Seasprite, I was reading in your post that CFS is the same as EBV. I have had a diagnosis of both of these. The CFS was about 8 years ago. The EBV said a recent primary infection, in the latter part of last summer, I believe I had it most of the summer. My energy levels have been very low for over eight years, although it has been worse since last summer. Do you have any links about these two illnesses being the same thing? I would appreciate some more info if you have it. Thanks, Niecy ![]() xxxxxx Quote:

| I didn't have any bites from Nov '07 to end of March '08, almost 5 months. I felt healthy, no symptoms during these 5 months but beginning of March depression set it, brain-fog, sore bones (?) and lesions. End of March the biting began on my feet mostly. So something happened beginning of March. Is it seasonal? Or, once you zap it good it goes into remission to find another place to take hold months or years later? Or, is something "new" introduced into our environment? I have found tbm very effective and am healthy again. I have posted on this quite a bit so you can search under "jonsi" to find my posts and thoughts... There is such a wealth of information on this site from so many smart, in-tuned people. I saw in another thread you started you had a question about a treatment offered through an e-book. I think that by the time you research the info given "free" on this fellow's link, you will have most of the information he has gathered to share for a price. Do you have the time? Do you have the money? "If you've got the money Honey, I've got the time!" ![]() Good luck Knight~Ryder! In the white light, ~jonsi
