| Here is essentially a discussion about a new type of vaccine base being developed which helps to educate the immune system to recognize stealth viral infection (evidently the immune system must be working, and not non-functional such as AIDS for such vaccines to have any effect on the body). There seem to be stealth infections associated with those who have morgellons, such as mycoplasma infections, lyme and most likely many others. So it does not seem startling to say that our bodies do not recognize whatever the morgellons parasite is as this is a survival mechanism frequently employed by bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites, many of whom are good at hiding from the immune system and some of whom are also capable of destroying it. Add in the possibility of a genetic component which does not functions quite the way it should, and then the brew really gets interesting. Which leads to the search for the vaccines to turn on the immune system so it can recognize such stealth pathogens as foreign to the body. In this case the vaccines are being developed for specific diseases such as SARS, Anthrax etc, but this sort of vaccine may be what it will take to have a total cure for morgellons. First though, in order to develop a vaccine, they would have to identify what the morg parasite is and so far no one seems to have much more than an inkling. http://www.biodefensestocks.com/News/041106a.asp Chimigen therapeutic vaccine is used to produce immune responses in a host against infections which are difficult to produce immune responses, by t argeting the vaccine to dendritic cells. The Chimigen platform can be extended to develop therapies for difficult-to-treat chronic infectious diseases. StockInterview: Does that mean the Chimigen platform can be used to treat any infectious disease? Dr. Rajan George: "Yes, except in cases where the immune system is non-functional, as in the case of HIV.The Chimigen platform can be used to produce either a therapeutic vaccine or a prophylactic vaccine. This depends on the disease target and the antigen plugged into the platform. Some antigens have a use in treating infection, while others have a use in preventing an infection. Either one would be targeted to the dendritic cells. The therapeutic vaccine generates a cytotoxic T cell response. A prophylactic vaccine would generate a B cell response and antibody production. "When a person has a chronic virus infection, his or her body ignores the virus and associated proteins. The body treats the virus as part of itself. The body does not recognize this virus as something foreign to it. Therefore the immune system does not attack the virus. But, by combining the virus antigen with a foreign protein such as the murine antibody fragment, the whole chimeric protein now is recognized by the body's immune system as "foreign," different from something of its own. In essence, this is a re-education of the immune system to switch its recognition of the virus from "self" to "foreign"

| TCM, that is alot of very interesting information. I will have to wait until tonight to read more of it. Jo, he did specify the parasite, I am just afraid that everyone will think I am crazy for listening. But, if you knew my story, and knew all the questions he asked me, and actually listened to me, it might make sense. I seriously don't know. I had intended on waiting until I had it confirmed, or not, to say what he said it is. What did your poll on animals turn up? This parasite is very prominent in animals, but you most definitly don't have to have them to be exposed. I don't know if any of you remember any of my story, but it's on here somewhere. Jo, he said it is "hookworm". He wants to confirm it, but he is almost 100% sure. So, what do you guys think about that? Gotta go, I'm babysitting. I will be back tonight to read and listen. Neicy xxxxxx

| Niecy, Hookworm is the reason I started the poll on animals. I'm no scientist, and know nothing about body markers, etc. but I thought it might be the very critter that opens the door for what becomes Morgellons. That or herpes. Actually I think they may be strains of each other. I suspect that so many of what have been labeled as separate organisms are the same one which has morphed into one of its different stages and take residence in a different area, like the liver fluke, etc. I got into researching bacteria last night when Jo asked me if I wanted to research quorum sensing and couldn't get away from it. Then, I saw the different stages of one type and I have all three stages in my scope slide, so this is all so very fascinating. Niecy, you surely are connecting with some awesome people. This man is obviously knowledgeable and I wish people like him and others like him who don't make their learned voices heard would speak out. The biggest crime of all is how the medical society has ignored what is obviously staring them in the face, and all the people who have suffered as a result. Autism is finally being addressed and revealed as a result of an ingredient in vaccines given to babies. When my son told me the doctors give them 3 at once I freaked out. Thanks so much for this information. It's because of you , Steve, Jo, TCM and so many others here (sorry if I didn't mention all) that we will find out what is happening, not only with this but so many other diseases. I WONDER WHY MORE PEOPLE HAVEN'T TAKEN PART IN THE POLL? xoxo Kritts |

| I believe there have been people who have posited this hook worm theory in the past. It could be a parasite some morgies will test positive for, but personally I have seen parasites which do not look like this parasite. Quite large too. I believe the larger parasites are part of the morgellons picture, but that hookworm is the main parasite problem I somehow doubt. Hookworms have been around for a long time in the south and tropical areas, both the human and the animal varieties, and one never heard of these types of resistant symptoms before in people. Cuteaneous larvae are controlled according to this reference by albendazole and some of the other dewormers. I think we would have heard of some well people by now if this problem were solely a hook work infestation which almost any barefoot child or dog owner could catch. This sort of infection is not exclusive to a select few souls as far as I can tell. No, I think this answer is way too simple to be morgellons. Sorry this would not let me copy the direct pdf (gave an error message), but you may access that from here and I suggest doing so to see the color illustrations of the hook worm in this article. Hi Kritts. Agree this parasite could be part of the picture for some, but personally I lean towards something else as the principle culprit in this complex picture. http://209.85.207.104/search?q=cache...lnk&cd=8&gl=us

| I was just about to enter this: Jo's Cryptostrongylus http://www.morgellons-disease-resear...p?topic=3728.0 I don't think it is solely the roundworm either, TC (hi,by the way) but I do think it is implicated somehow. xoKritts |

| Hi Niecy n all, He could be talking about MIF http://www.jbc.org/cgi/content/full/282/32/23447 All morgellon sufferers (IMO) should take a course of human dewormers - every 6 months at least (herbal or otherwise). Because our immune systems are vunerable to secondary or co- infections and roundworms are often on the menu it seems. Jo xxx |

| Well Ritts ![]() I hope not, some people might growl abit and snap at people's ankles - but usually their bark is worse than their bite. xxx |
