| Hi Nick, I've not taken it, since being ill. I've read abit about it because it maybe that the morg parasite gets into the blood, abit like malaria. Its prescribed quite readily in the uk, if people are travelling to tropical countries, as a preventative measure. Interesting, I've read that it can also have a positive effect on patients with ALS. I didnt know that malaria goes intracellular: "Mefloquine works by attacking the (malaria) parasites once they have entered the red blood cells. It kills the parasites and prevents them from multiplying further. It is not fully understood how mefloquine kills the parasites, but it is thought to work by blocking the action of a chemical that the parasites produce to protect themselves once inside the red blood cells." http://www2.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100004121.html cheers Jo xxx |

| Hey Nick, I can't find any information supporting the use of Mefloquine for Morgellons sufferers. Its shown to have had contridictions to 10% of soldiers (see link before) - affecting their mental health. http://www.scienceblog.com/cms/malar...ers-15511.html I light of this, I wouldnt recommend that anyone with morgellons tried Mefloquine without support from a doc. cheers Jo xxx |

| Nick, any chance that plaquenil could substitute for the expensive drug your doctor prescribed as some have used this for morgellons and it is also an anti-malarial drug? If you do the ivermec again it would be best to ask your doc if it is okay as these parasites can build up a resistance to anything if used too close together I fear. tcm
