Hi My name is Margo and I've had this disease for years now. What I've found to work is fenbendazole. This is the only thing that has helped me. I've tried pyrantol pamoate with some success, Ivermectin with some success, and anti-biotics which made this worse. The entities were becoming noticably smaller and less of them after taking this for a while until they seemed to be almost gone so I stopped taking this wrongly thinking I was in the clear. This was a big mistake. I'm now back to square one and worse than ever. This has got to be a parasite because when I take this product I evacuate tons of hairlike structures and they seem to get smaller as I progressively take this drug. From now on once I get them down to a managable level I am going to remain on a maintenance level and not stop completely. Has anyone else experienced this with antiparasitics? thanks Margo

Hi Margo, A warm welcome to the board ![]() I've tried a few 'azoles' but not fenbendazole. I'm interested to know about it - I cant find any online info about its use in humans, but I'm sure others can help. I agree that the strands get shorter with treatment and time. I've tried ivermectin, which got rid of the associated insect problems, but not the main symptoms. We'll get there! Jo xxx

Hi Margo: Though I now generally stay away from the Vet. medicines b/c I have a good antibiotic protocol, there was some experience playing with Ivemectrin and Febendazole. The Ivemectrin didn't do much. However the Febendazole did really seem to kick the fibers out! Believe it or not. Now I can't personally "recommend" this because I don't know all the safety factors. However, you can by it in the back of an Agway store, They now calls these shops "Global AG". You can check in the yellow pages. Again be very careful. I think I looked up the dosage horses took per their weight and adjusted it based on my own weight. Still don't know for sure if that's safe because they may not have the same organ density as our own. In any case, good luck.

Jo thats because fenbendazole is not made for humans, its made for animals. Its a animal dewormer.: # Fenbendazole belongs to a class of drugs known as anthelmintics. This drug is often used to remove various gastrointestinal parasites from animals. # Fenbendazole is available over the counter but should not be administered unless under the supervision and guidance of a veterinarian. Now in the interest of free information, it is being used by morgellons patients. I have been trying to avoid this here, because we don't know how safe really it is. God forbid some one out there gets a lethal allergenic attack etc.... But to be honest and we only have information presented from the net, some people are getting some relief from using it.

Thanks Franky, I've researched a little and its effective on many of the most prolific nematodes. BUT...and I'm sorry that there is a 'but' - the World Health Organisation set limits for human intake of fenbendazole and oxfendazole (Fenbendazole is metabolised in mammals to a series of other benzimidazoles including oxfendazole - ttp://www.emea.europa.eu/pdfs/vet/mrls/Oxfendazole1.pdf) The WHO said in 1998 regarding human intake, (through eating meat containing residues): "Acceptable daily intake= 0-7 μg/kg bw (group ADI for febantel, fenbendazole, and oxfendazole)" http://www.monsantodairy.com/about/human_safety/FAO.pdf Why, whats the problem with it??? Well, oxfendazole was tested on mice in 2006, and here's the summary: "The results show that oxfendazole MRL induced a mutagenic effect in all tested cell types. Also, oxfendazole exhibit embryotoxicity including teratogenicity. The biochemical results show that oxfendazole induced a disturbance in the different biochemical contents of all tested tissues. So, we must increase the attention paid to the potential risk of oxfendazole residues in human beings and should stress the need for careful control to ensure adherence to the prescribed withdrawal time of this drug." http://rnd.edpsciences.org/index.php...207/r6207.html I couldnt find any proof that the above effects in mice, would be the same for humans...anyone else??? I think that there are other effective 'azoles' out there, that maybe effective and 'safe' for human use. For instance, maybe people could comment on their experiences with using Albendazole, flubendazole, mebendazole or thiabendazole? I guess people have easier access to vet meds (like you mentioned e-jay). This maybe naive, but has anyone wanting access to human 'azoles' gone the docs and said, "I think I've got worms"? Just a thought that was passed on to me from a fellow board member. oh....AND DONT MENTION FIBRES!! (or if you're in the USA, FIBERS ).Jo xxx

Yes, I have.............In fact have taken proof (the crazy matchbox people way) Aside from several attempts with my live jumping worms in a ziploc bag and after numerous negative stool samples, I accidently stumbled upon a way to assure worms in the poop. (sorry so graphic, )I know I dont eat right but the day before I gathered (scooped) the final 3rd specimens in formalin, my diet consisted of about 25 shelled peanuts and 6 or 7 cherry tomatos. Well, let me tell you...... when I went to scoop a sample, there were worms all over inside nibbling on peanut fragments. It was so gross! The worms were between 1" - 1 1/2" in length, swizzle stick size in diameter. Larger than the 1/16th" - 1/2" white needle size worms I normally see in/on the lesions. I thought......finally!!!!! That same day I had a Dr. apt, and wouldnt you know, there was a floater Dr. that day in the clinic. He was very nice and wanted to see my specimins. When shakeing the vials , you could clearly see the worms all over in them. The Dr said he could see something. Off to the lab (somewhere?) The clinic called a week later, results negative. wth

I meant to add to my last post: Yes, I asked for worming med and didn't mention the fibers and even with undenyable proof of worms...... what is going on? Its like the Dr. refuses to even consider such a anomaly! sorry I'm not much help. wth

Hi wth, What you say IS helpful. It reminds me why we're here.....and makes me mad; because we werent given the help we deserved when we first got sick ![]() I want to go back to my family doctor one day and tell him how very wrong he was....one day soon. cheers Jo xxx

Hey all, I just wanted to comment on Mebendazole. I took this back in October 2006, three pills the first week and three more two weeks later. This happened before I knew about morgellons and when I was studying overseas. I took these meds after i found a worm in my stool. and led my morgellons to become fullblown. Also, wanted to comment that I recently picked up my medical records. It amazing that medical doctors can make psychiatric diagnosis's and not tell you about them. All of the doctors I have seen all have taken advantage of me and haven't been of any help. Just wait when I get my lawyer. They will quickly turnaround. 10m

10metres..... yes, I think we are all longing for the day when we can take our doctors to task.... hope it will be soon.. as to the mebendazole, did it help you ?? did you feel it got rid of some of the worms... I've been on Ivermectin but wonder whether it's time to change to something else.... Milly x
