| Has anyone had their lesions biopsied or cultured? (they take a swab and then culture it at a lab.) Have you taken any samples (skin, specs, etc) to a lab or biologist or doctor and had them looked at? Thanks, Sprite |

| Hi Seasprite . I had a biopsie done on a spot that had not yet broken the skin, about five or six months after I started having the lesions. The histological findings suggested that is was an arthropod attack, or a drug erruption. The pathologist could not rule out pruitis, which is what the dermatologist had already diagnosed, he just did the biopsie at my personal physcians request, and it aggitated him to be asked to do it. My family doctor thought that I might have something called Pemphigus Vulgaris. The derm just highlighted the part about not ruling out pruitis, signed his name and dated it, and sent me a copy. When I called for the results though, the lab technician said it was "negative". That's probably the day that I lost it . I made an appointment with a very well known derm in another town close by, and he is the person that looked at me and said,"Yep, just like I thought, you have Delusional Parasitosis." He already had a brochure in the folder when he came in to "examine" me. He did no kind of testing, and had a copy of the biopsie report from the first dermatologist.I also had a professor of parasitology that was looking at my samples, and he said that they were the most intriuging samples he had ever seen. He kept talking about the stranding in the tissue and scabs. I actually had several of the pods that came out of the lesions, he had me put them in formaldahyde so they would be preserved. He said that I had multiple things going on, but he couldn't define any of them. He has been a professor for over 40 years, and he was from Jerusalem. He just one day quit responding to my calls and emails. I was afraid that the administration at the university that he teaches at had found out what he was doing, and told him to stop, so I have left him alone. He still has all of my samples, and there was ALOT!!!! He is also the professor that told me that the Tiger Misquito, that carries Malaria, that had been eradicated in the US had been found and identified some 5 years ago, in Memphis, TN. Seasprite, I am not sure that doctors would know what they were looking at, if it was staring them right in the face..........just my opinion. Niecy ![]() Quote:

| Nciey, what do your "pods" look like? I feel I have "pods" also. It's kinda like a zit, kinda not. It's like the size of 1-3 pin heads. Creme colored, looks like the core of a zit kinda but on closer examination, it has little projections off of it. |

| Hi ya Seasprite, Your description below, reminded me of a white deposit I scoped from my face (It came through unbroken skin, from skin that didnt even look red or raised). Its size is just under 1mm. (just a warning that its not a pretty holiday snap - I dont want to freak anyone) http://www.flickr.com/photos/23443895@N06/2243303502/ Jo xxx ps - thanks for sharing whats been going on with you the last few weeks. You are so not alone. ![]() |

| Jo your pictures of your hair is exactly what mine looks like, so if mine are demodex mites you mite want to look into that and also something called fungas gnats. I have the coral colored things like drops on my walls in the bathroom were the water is. Just a thought, I have been using a nettie pot to help brake loose the goo in my nose. Will write more soon. | Fungus gnats, ay Aloha?...I'll have to check that out. Well....those pictures are exactly what are under my scope but they aren't hair. Jo, esp. the basic photos 5,7,8,9,10 and similar. I don't have the gelatinous looking specs, though. The one fiber with what looks like train lines on a map next to the other look like you took them off my slide! Also the little brown spots look to me to be pods of some sort. I think they may be sacs of seeds carrying the babies. I took a look at one from cleaning with a washcloth (you know where) and under the scope it was filled with these pod-like shapes, and you could see an extension beginning to protrude from the base with two or three almost like an assembly line going outward from it. Oh, this is just so much fun. ![]() xoKritts |

| Thanks Unclear, Kritts. Those mites are small - thinner than a strand of hair, but I'll look out for them. I'm gonna step up the experiments and scoping. Jo xxx |

| Jo, Nice logo of yourself! Where is the blue ? I just looked at a sample under the scope and the blue fiber is there today (as well as a red one forming on the other side...or becoming visible now) as the thing begins to shred apart. I wish I could set up a time-lapse photo under the scope. I can't even get a good camera attachment to do these things justice. Kritts xo |

| Hi ya Kritts, You're right I need blueys and some white specs for good measure. I bought this kid scope, which includes camera off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/DIGITAL-MICROS...742.m153.l1262 The guys got a shop. Maybe worth a hit to see if he does cameras that could work with yours. Joey xxx |
