| TC... That's Some Manuka, honey! Those pictures were unreal. To think people actually have endured that with the modern medicine we are supposed to have at our disposal. what a disgrace. Kritters |

| Well, kritts, I assume other methods had been used with these patients but that the antibiotics were not working, which is the reason I believe that more natural methods are being sought everywhere these days. This is why we have a return to the old methods of healing which are so much slower and sometimes, if the patient is sick enough or old, do not work as well. If antibiotics had been reserved and used wisely in only the most desperate circumstances of illness, we would have the best of both worlds. The honey or other natural methods could be used for minor ills and the antibiotics would still work for those illnesses which cannot easily be healed quickly with honey or other natural means. Instead we have modern pharmaceutical companies to blame for pushing the use of antibiotics everywhere, to the point that many (most) are not effective anymore.

| yep TC, Right as usual. I think that there could have been a happy medium somewhere between the two camps, though. Rather than dismissing natural cures altogether in favor of 'modern medicine' the medical industry could have given more credence to the parasitic community and what nature has provided to deal with it. what happened is that they became more threatened and thus more alienated toward natural remedies. Although so much medicine is based on natural substances as the tree bark, the average doctor can't see the forest for the tree bark and has no clue what the medicine he/she prescribes is actually derived from. Oh shoot. I just ended an entire paragraph with a preposition. xoxo Kritts |

| Thanks for the link tcm! Those pictures are pretty nasty, but it does show the benefits of using the honey. |
