Lisa ,If you cant pull it with tweezers try using some loo roll.Wet it with a bit of warm water and keep rubbing it. It sounds silly but works for me .Thanks for that tip Robin

How cute are you, Carls? Loo roll. I assume it's the same as 'bathroom tissue' here in the States? LOL When I go shopping next I'll be sure to look for the loo rolls. LOL (just an aside...when I rub 'loo roll' on anything it turns into worms itself

Well, Kritts, that bathroom tissue is pretty high class terminology for what many Americans call toilet paper. But then, what can we expect when we don't go to the loo, but the bathroom or the toilet. Americans are just a confused lot.

Well, TCM....thanks You know... I actually wrote 'toilet paper' first then thought I may not have been politically correct....so then wrote bathroom tissue.

Can you imagine being in the stall (oops. I mean Water Closet) at any shopping mall, and asking the person next to you to share some Loo roll OR bathroom TISS you.....? ( Tiss you? Tiss you? I hardly KNOW you!!!!) hee heee.

I watched this Aussie comedy and it was about a "plumber" well he used assemble temporary toilet blocks at sporting venues etc the movie was called "Kenny" for anyone whose watched it. And he was calling toilet paper "poo tickets"

When I was 18 I went to the States as a 'mothers' help' My employers took me out to dinner one evening to meet some friends of theirs.. As we arrived their friend asked me if 'I would like to go wash up' I was a bit taken aback as in the UK 'washing up' is what you do after the meal !! What you call 'doing the dishes' !!! It quite floored me and was'nt till I'd been in the States for a while before I realized she meant 'would I like to go to the loo, or wash my hands before dinner ' !!! Milly x
