| A lady in UK with morgs told me she used Hibiscrub and it gets rid of the nasty goo on the skin.I don't know if its available in the US but its a surgical scrub.I remember it well from days in the operating theatre-loved the smell. Anyway I had some cos I used to clean any injury on the horse with it.So I tried it on my face and the little morgs do not like it.I started at chin and could feel them working up away from it.So i covered my face and give it a good scrub. After a while I had quite a lot of them exit skin. So I tried it in the bath and again had good results. Its Not for use in Ears.Or Brain. So don't be washing ya brain in it. You only need small amount in bath.Anyway its another alternative folks. If the UK contingent have trouble getting it I got it from www.hyperdrug.com its not expensive and lasts a long time.VERY good for washing hands in general.

| Hi Pat, I just looked this up and found that it probably is not available in the US, and in fact appears to be a British brand. The main ingredient in this product is evidently far superior to Phisohex, which until now was the only similar product I had heard about: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/art...?artid=1587723 I was surprised to find this product also may be effective in reducing the risk of contracting MRSA if one has to go to the hospital: http://www.hibihealth.com/reduce.php Just found this on another site where someone asked if hibiscrub could be bought OTC, and this is the answer: U.S. BRAND NAMES — Avagard™ [OTC]; BactoShield® CHG [OTC]; Betasept® [OTC]; ChloraPrep® [OTC]; Dyna-Hex® [OTC]; Hibiclens® [OTC]; Hibistat® [OTC]; Operand® Chlorhexidine Gluconate [OTC]; Peridex®; PerioChip®; PerioGard from: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...4011921AAjucW9 Hopefully one of these is available OTC in US. Thanks for this information Pat as it is a product I have never heard of before today. If it removes the goo from the morgs that is great news. Also I just had a woman tell me the other day she had to go to the hospital for surgery and was very worried about MRSA. So I will share this information with her next time I see her.

| Great Pat, have ordered some. Recommend folks read about its active ingredient chlorhexidine, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlorhexidine_gluconate ( It kills (is bactericidal to) both gram-positive and gram-negative microbes, although it is less effective with some gram-negative microbes. [2] It is also bacteriostatic.)..... cheers jo xx |

| Well just made another helpful discovery. Our US friends talk about a washing 'bleach' that does wonders for clothes but we don't have it in UK.Well,I just realised that ACE gentle bleach and VANISH stain remover is it.They both contain hydrogen peroxide so started using just ACE in washing with no detergent.Cuts down the expense of detergent, gets the clothes clean and uses oxygen.Bingo!! Don't know if I mentioned but I bought some citricidal (grapefruit extract) This is great in a mouthwash also can add a few drops to shampoo. Also dilute and its a skin cleanser-morgs don't like it anyway. Can be used in lots of ways.

| Hi Pat, yes thats good news. Eco-cover do a laundry O2 bleach product. Only tried it in the bath with alfalfa (in desperate times) but not for washing clothes!! I've used the hibiscrub in the bath, like shower gel. It also said to use it on the hair, which I did and it made my hair fizz, abit like HP. Being a surgical scrub it cleans skin v well. Gonna use it once/twice a week for a bit. Hope you are good. jo xx |

| Hi Pat and Jo, I don't know remember who it was (sorry morgellons moment on the memory), but someone on here some time back mentioned that the citracidel was good to take in water or juice, twice a day. I feel it is helping me, and have worked up to twelve drops twice a day in grapefruit juice. So far (cross my fingers) it is keeping colds/flu at bay. I also like the nasal spray Nutribiotics makes from this as it clears my nose when it gets stopped up within a minute or so after using it. I do not think the fungus/morgs like it at all. I still need to get to the drugstore or Walmart to look for a US equivalent of chlorhexidine, hopefuly OTC.

| Hi Pat - how you doing with the Hibiscrub?? I've used it for 3 days and thinks its v effective indeed. Surgeons must use it to 'scrub up' 10..20 times a day, which makes me think that it must be ok for sustained use (although not long term use I'm sure). Usually if I wear a black t-shirt I can see lots of white deposits and debris on the insides of it - but not now. Also I've had very little skin irritation. I'm going to experiment to see if I still irritate others... Joey xx |

| Jo,,,, I've been using hibiscrub for quite a while now... so far just to wash my hands, but I guess it's probably good for all over washing. Certainly it's used by theatre staff in hospitals, I used it ages ago when I worked in the theatre at our local hospital. It seems to have stood the test of time... but I guess the wretched bugs we all have are quite challenging for it ! Milly x |

| As Pat mentioned, you should avoid contact with the brain, meninges (outer brain/spine layers) and middle ear. - ie dont use it if you've got a head injury or perforated ear drum. It says that for pre-operative patients: wash the whole body, twice, in bath or shower. Each time using 25ml Hibiscrub. The second time, use it on the hair too. Rinse and dry. This should be repeated the next day too. I've used it on my eyelashes too - it says to wash it out well if it gets in your eyes. I keep mine shut. ![]() Jo xx |

| Hi Jo glad its working well for you.I did use it long term -was a theatre nurse for some years and used it all day, every day.It was also used to wash operation sites on patients.Don't know why I didn't think about it before as I always keep it in-as I said used it on the horse at various times.Anyway its an alternative to add to the rest.Sorry I was late replying to your email.Been battling mud!!And the 50ft chickens. ![]()
