| I have had morgellons for over 4 years now,2 years ago when I was at my worse a Doc. I was seeing gave me a scipt. for Dicloxacillin 250mg twice a day (so my lesions wouldnt get infected) but in 3 to 4 days the little white things on my body and face turned to dust after 6 days all the lesions were just about gone,it was the fist time in 2 1/2 years I was symptem free, but the scipt. was only for two weeks, I havnt found a Doc.since that would give me this med. I dont know if it will work for evryone or how it works long term, but the results I got for 5 weeks was great, I just found a new Doc. that is open in treating me I just hope she will give me the Dicloxacillin because it worked so well. Sincerely:Bob |

| You can get it online on some of the reputable online pharmacies although if you have an llmd treating your morgs can't see why they wouldn't prescribe. |

| Hi Bobbyjoe, Welcome to this forum. I hope you find comfort here. I'm sorry you are having such a horrible time and truly hope your doctor will be able to help. By the way, a disease cats spread is called, toxoplasmosis and is fatal in unborn children since they have no immune system and can't fight it off when received from the mother's body (that is called toxoplasmosis fetalis). Cats are sweet things (usually), but really there should be no liter boxes in the house and they really do carry disease. When I see cats on my friends' counter tops I cringe. They have a sweet tooth for mice, as we all know, but now we also know that mice carry parasites. Let's hope this years night before Christmas the mouse not only doesn't stir, but stays away. Hope everything works out for you. thanks krtts, good to be here. Bobbyjoe Kritts |

| I feel that the thing which would be the best Christmas present for all would be a definitive protocol from the MRF which has been published in a medical journal thereby christening it with the universal doctor's okay to recognize and treat morgellons. Until this happens treatment will remain spotty to non-existent depending upon where one lives. There are great many variations in what doctors are currently willing to try. I went to a doctor who was allegedly a morgellons/lyme doctor who seemed only willing to use two antibiotics to treat morgellons (which in my case is not a good option as I am allergic to many of them). Plaquenil was out (oh, I would never use that) and dewormers were never mentioned. So that is why I say a protocol listing all options for treatment which one could present to just an ordinary doctor (most of whom I view as mechanics who have to have a book to tell them what to do and grant them permission as well) would be the best Christmas gift we all could receive.

| Wouldn't that be awesome, TCM? To actually have an established protocol for this new disease? An even bigger Christmas wish to whisper to Santa baby would be to have a union of medical scientists and homeopathic/TCM practitioners who put their brains together to come up with the solution. weeeee WISH you a merry Christmas, we WISH you a merry Christmas, we WISH you a Merry Christmasssssss..................and a happy new yearwithoutmorgellons LOL Kritts |

| Yes, Kritts, it would be nice if conventional doctors and homeopaths, herbalists, acupuncturists and other practitioners of alternative medicine could work together. May not happen any time soon though. When my spouse was being treated by a cardiologist he called the alternative treatment my spouse had been using as "taking spices." At the time the heart function was strong, there were no bruises all over the body which later developed from extended use of blood thinners, and the heartbeat was strong even though irregular. Then the cardiologist, who sanctioned no use of herbs under his enlightened care, proceeded to give my spouse ever larger doses of poisonous (IMHO) medicines which eventually totally weakened the heart and circulatory system. Nice job doc. Why I do not have a lot of patience with doctors who often hold up their noses and sneer at the inferiority of herbs while they go ahead and often seriously weaken patients with more and ever stronger doses of dangerous drugs, all this with a license to do so from society. Meanwhile, unless a TCM practitioner, herbalists have no way to be licensed unless they live in states which also recognize naturopathic medicine. Even this profession is not exactly the herbalist profession. Even better than trying to get doctors to recognize something might work which is outside their paradigm would be if insurance would pay for the alternative therapies and not just for western medicine which has big areas where it is of little to no help to sick people. I have gotten a lot better using just alternatives with morgellons, but sometimes get impatient with how slow it can be. Painful too, to use some of my herbal cancer salves. Still I no longer seem to be getting lesions so I have made progress using what I know about alternatives, internally and externally, or having gone to folks in the past for help in these areas. There are things from Western medicine I might try for a short period to see if it rousted residuals out, such as the chemical dewormers. Or something stronger for the blood borne aspect such as plaquenil. Maybe alternate with the artemisisin I now use. Hard though when one encounters such doubtful doctors who will only dare to prescribe and use antibiotics as care for morgellons/lyme. best, tcm

| Hi TCM, I think you will find more and more LLMD's and researchers are proving more likely to turn to herbal remedies. Herbs like samento, cumanda, quina etc etc are now grabbing the attention as a plausible treatment. Dr Cowden and there are a few others have protocols that specifically detox the body and kill the lymes. From what i have read it sounds like the herx reactions can be up their with antibiotic protocols. Only thing with the herbs is they kill the fungi and leave the good bacteria in your intestines which can only be positive. And if the herx reactions are just as painful with herbs that only proves that the effectiveness and power behind the spices is up their with western medicine. The problem is finding the LLMD that is best for you because i have heard a lot out there that actually are very pro using herbs alongside abx or even just herbs on their own. I am even seeing articles written by researchers and medical doctors saying titles like "Lymes disease beyond antibiotics". I think that their is a more balanced view on this and you just need to find the doctor that will treat like you require. If only their were more LLMD's on the planet, i think if i come back in another life that will be my profession! |
