Morgellon’s Disease - Treatment Protocol

Morgellon’s Disease is a systemic disease characterized by a chronic fatigue illness with systemic symptoms such as joint aches, muscles aches, headaches, insomnia, and depressed immune system. The skin manifestations include multiple skin lesions especially in areas with hair as well as emergence of fibers, seed-like substances, and in some cases, bugs. Other organ systems are frequently involved including a variety of neurological symptoms. The following is a protocol which will be updated intermittently to help those with Morgellon’s Disease obtain a more holistic approach to this systemic multi-system disease.

Skin Products and Baths:

1. Skin Products and Baths. Because the disease manifests frequently with skin lesions and symptoms of biting, itching, burning, and crawling, the treatment of the skin is important for symptomatic relief. We recommend the New Hope Skin Care Line by Trisha Springstead, R.N., who can be reached at Trishaspring50@yahoo.com; website: www.espbotanicals.com. The patients report symptomatic relief from skin symptoms with use of this skin care line.
* Begin with the New Hope Skin Regimen, which is 20% off of the first order. You cannot stop using these products and they should be used exclusively for at least the first 6 months to 1 year. These products contain no fragrance oils, chemicals, neurotoxins, mineral oils, etc., that are contained in many skin care lines.
* US Patent 7060306: Remember that this treatment will draw out toxins, debris, and organisms at first. You may get a bit redder but it will get better.

2. Epsom Salts Baths: 2 cups of Epsom salts per bath.

3. Dried alfalfa capsules 10 per bath opened and ¼ cup of sea salt.


Diet:

1. Due to scientific studies which show that the fibers which extrude from the skin in this disease are made of high-density polyethylene as well as possible silicone, also found in biopsy samples, diets which avoid all foods possibly sprayed with viral phages which have been coated with a high-density polyethylene (nanotechnology) in order to prevent bacterial infections such as Listeria are important. Unfortunately we do not have labeling requirements for this technology. Therefore, it would be advisable to avoid all lunch meats and other similar processed foods including genetically modified foods and any foods with Monsanto’s growth hormone derivative in the food.
2. It would be best to follow an organic diet with minimal preservatives including foods stored in plastic and/or aluminum.
3. A diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables is more alkalizing and helps with the problem that Morgellon’s patients have with acidic pH.
4. Drinking clean water such as distilled or filtered water is also important.


Acidity & Low Alkaline Reserve:

1. Morgellon’s patients have problems with acidity and alkaline reserves, therefore, diet and water that helps increase alkalinity of the body is preferable. For those who do cannot partake of such diet or if the patient’s pH is still acidic on the diet, we recommend Buffer pH with pH testing of the urine in the morning. Take 3 to 6 capsules of Buffer pH per day in order to maintain an alkalized urine.

Immune Deficiency

1. In order to help raise natural killer T-cell levels we recommend EpiCor one capsule (500 mg.) orally a day.
2. Because Morgellon’s disease is felt to have a predilection for the hair follicles, we recommend use of a depilatory agent on any areas which become symptomatic.
3. Additional relief can be obtained by using magnetic clay baths and/or packing the Bentonite Clay of the Magnetic Clay Baths in the area which helps draw out the fibers and helps heal the lesions.


Electromagnetic Devices:

1. The Harmonic Quad attached to a double-reflective blanket to help remove insects and arthropods.
2. The Harmonic Quad attached to the ionic footbath along with the Portozone Ozone Ozonaer (Coag Generator) to place O3 into the water to help remove chemicals which may be involved with the disease.

Infection:

1. NutraSilver - Suggested Use of NutraSilver for Morgellons by Beneficial Solutions, LLC
* Remove the cap and puncture the safety membrane so the bottle now becomes the dropper.
* NEVER APPLY NUTRASILVER TOPICALLY!
* NEVER USE METAL OF ANY KIND!
* DO NOT ALLOW NUTRASILVER TO BE EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT!
* Place 30 drops in a glass, add filtered or distilled water, as much or as little as you like. Take 3 times a day for 1 day. If no reaction is noticed, continue on to the next step.
* Next, increase to 40 drops, 3 times a day for 1 day. If no reaction is noticed, continue on to the next step.
* Now increase to 50 drops, 3 times a day for 1 day. If no reaction is noticed, continue on to the next step.
* Finally, increase to 60 drops, 3 times a day. You should now decide which dosage feels the best.

3. Antibiotics such as Biaxin or ZPack early in the disease course have been reported to be effective.
4. Thieves essential oils – dissolve 10 gtts. in 8 oz. of distilled water and drink, three times a day.
5. Sporanox 200 mg. a day if liver function tests are normal. Antifungal therapy has also been found to be beneficial in some patients. We recommend if you are on Sporanox, you stay on Super Thistle X 3 times a day for liver detoxification.
6. Pleo Alb suppositories as directed.


Environmental Care and Cleaning:

1. No Bleach.
2. No Ammonia.
3. Stop all use of pesticides, fragrance oils, mineral oils, petroleums.
4. Have all rugs cleaned with borax and use the environmental spray below as an organic pesticide.
5. Wash clothing in non surfactant/non ionic cleaners such as:
* Borax, Baking Soda, Salt
* Arm and Hammer Botanicals in the green bottle
* Only organic cleaners with NO fragrance oils
6. Use 7th generation cleaning products.
7. Use baking soda to clean all vegetables and fruits.
8. Use 1 cup of apple cider vinegar down the drains once every 2 weeks.
9. Wash windows with soda water or vinegar and newspapers.
10. Animals must be taken care of along with your environment.

Environmental Spray:

* 1 ounce Geranium Essential Oil
* 1 ounce Peppermint Essential Oil
* 1 ounce Black Pepper Essential Oil
* 1 ounce Cedarwood Essential Oil
* 1 ounce Rosewood Essential Oil
* 1 ounce Citronella Essential Oil

Mix with 2 Gallons of Water and ½ Cup of Borax


Uses:

* Use to mist home environment.
* Can be sprayed on animals lightly.
* This works great as an insect repellant in small spray bottles.

bubba and some others tried, it and why under failed treatments, the new hope skin formulation. so is nutrasilver. better products can also be bought for cheaper prices. some of the other protocols are much like we do already. so WHY even bring this up? also these products claim to cure you, if moderate improvement said as much why might be more highly recommended in that case. nutrasilver website also uses scare tactics which i have NEVER approved of, if product so good WHY RESORT TO THEM? i am about 30k in the hole, and would rather try to find cheap things which help , instead of the 30 dollar a bottle endless financial sucking sound. the only high dollar products i recommend (which i do not sell) are ecovie , and black cumin oil. if you have tried these products and have sucess, them please post under failed treatments your sucess. BUT MANY HAVE FOUND VERY LITTLE RELIEF, AND CERTAINLY NO CURE FROM THIS STUFF. so why reopen a tired old jar of maggots, when we have enough to deal with?i will add however the other protocols mentioned besides these two products do have some merit. but as far as the silver, 30 bucks a bottle, or much less for a higher quality product? I've been reading your posts and you really seem to know what you are talking about. I have morgellons and I am so hopeless... Can you tell me besides the items listed what else has worked for you? I understand everyone has different types or morgellons and it's different for everyone, but any information you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You guys have been online searching for stuff for quite a few years so I'm sure you've researched all corners of our internet universe. But just in case I found this today online and it reminded me that I'm doing better these days because of many of these drugs.

and despite this guys stupidity with thinking all of use have some post tramatic stress problems that cause this some of his ideas are good. I do not suffer from PTSD thanks a bunch guy. I do appreciate the way he attacks the help our government in their slow and sluggish attempts to even recognize that we need help WHERE IS THAT SLEEPING GIANT THAT CAN SMASH AND DESTROY ALL THAT DO HER HARM.

According to the attached article this is what is being used
In German
Cefuroxime 500mg BID x21-28 days with 1-3 day break
Clarythromycin 500mg BID x21-28 days Or Roxythromycin, Azithromycin, Minocyclin, Zyvox
With 1-3 day break
Flagyl 400mg BID x 14 days
Antimalarial drugs: Quensil or Plaquenil

In America
Doxycyclin 200mg BID x10days with 8 day break
Cefpodoxim BID x 10 days with 8 day break
Amoxicillin 1000mg BID x 10 day with 8 day break
Erythomycin 500mg TID x 10 days

I have been on all of these over the last 5-6 years and my symptoms have been reduce tremendously from what I hear most others have. My worst symptom is now just the scalp.
I haven’t taken any antimalarial drugs or cefpdoxim. But for a while I kept getting upper respiratory infections from the scalp problem. That is reduced now so it doesn’t happen anymore.
But I have to remember I still get the occasional moving hair, smaller amounts of fibers, and smaller quantities of dots/specs and just because I am what I consider less contagious to others on the outside but I am sure my liver and other organs are still suffering. I have liver pain frequently and suffered from liver failure when my gallbladder was removed 2 years ago. I had great cholesterol so I’m sure it’s the Morgellons that caused the bad gallbladder.
Seek treatment from some of these if you haven’t already they did help me but didn’t cure me.

I cant believe our government is acting so backwards and impotent on this issue come on people get a little guts to stick your neck out and relive our suffering. I am not schizophrenic, bipolar or have any other condition other than occasional depression and anxiety brought on by this crap. Find us a cure.

The three areas of regular therapy treatments are:
1) Internal Medications such as antibiotics, anti-fungals, anti-viral (virus-statica), anti-parasitics, (either oral or injectable,) herbal medications, detoxification treatments, vitamins and immune boosters. Less milk/meat products, carbohydrates, coffee, table salt (high blood pressure) and sugar could also be considered a subsection of this category of internal treatment.
Take more proteins (collagen-builder), anti-aging products and use PH-buffer salt such as Natron powder Alkala N (Natrium and Kalium-Hydrogen-Carbonat) or Himalaya salt to stabilize your PH-value first.
2) Topical Treatments such as antibacterial or herbal anti-parasitic soaps, or DSP™ Creams, Sprays and Biofilm removers.

I would hope before you bash his site, him, and products that you spend a little more time on his site and gather a bit more info about him and his work. He really cares about folks with Morgs and has spent years researching this disease. His reasearch is the most comprehensive that I have found and he is kind enough to keep us informed as new info and conclusions are found.
He also is very prompt in responding to inquiries and emails...suggest you rethink your quick judgements.

AMEN TO THAT, ROCKSTER!!!

Yes, Marc is extremely knowledgable and generous and helpful. I also use his DSP cream, am about to order more jars to give to people I care about. Because of his cream, my face no longer has lesions and when I use on the rest of my body if one breaks out, it goes away. My face, by the way is smooth and it's interesting how first application absorption level seems to indicate dryness level, and if I need another application it's perfect. I love having a moisturizer that is natural and healing.

Any time I've asked Marc a question, he is very gracious and helpful as well.
