I wanted to wait until the fungal tests were in, because I know I have at least candida. I don't have much faith in labs so I can't vouch what they identified as true, esp since I have a scope and didn't see the 3 nuclei in any of my 'cysts'....only fibers. However, I'm thrilled to death they at least showed parasites. (hey, ya seen one parasite, ya seen em all) And they all have similar manifestations. And since there are only a bazillion (known) parasites we're working through a maze to begin with.
Here are the two parasites I allegedly have:Blastosystis hominis and endolimax nana cysts.
Med doc said (I think he read it on the web...he is clueless otherwise) that it normally isn't even treated unless there are overt symptoms ('expected' symptoms of diarrhea)
Can you imagine that???? I am incredulous. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't disturb its habitat. I've heard of tree huggers, but.....parasite huggers?
Anyway I did some research and, well....you tell me what you think.

(This is the first report on the ultrastructure of the Endolimax nana cyst. These cysts are mostly ovoid in shape and have a distinct cyst wall measuring 80 nm. The nuclear membrane is without pores or associated chromatin deposits. The cytoplasm does not have mitochondria or a Golgi apparatus but shows elongated tubular structures made up of a double row of ribosome-like particles. The nature and function of this structure is not known, but it appears to be characteristic of this species and has not been reported from any other intestinal ameba.

Well, this may help serve to offer some puzzle pieces , I hope. Anyway, the associations are here at least in that parasites affect skin lesions. Maybe this drug will help. Who knows.
