I have struggled with this topic....... but my conscience has gotten the better of me, and I just had to speak up. Please understand that I hate to contradict anything in the treatment steps that have been outlined. Overall I have been following them and found them to be terrific! but there's just one that has been gnawing at me....... I recommend that everyone stop taking longs soaks in warm/hot water (even with the salt/peroxide). While it may provide some relief during the soak, I strongly believe that this actually keeps these things happy. Keep in mind that the high density areas for this disease are primarily in the south (even though its present in all states). These critters seems to thrive in warm/moist situations...... I live in New England and noticed that the disease slowed down during the winter months - when the air is much colder and drier. If you are not sure about this suggestion, please try this. Ice down one of your wounds (I wrap ice cubes in paper towels, and wet the paper towel slightly to conduct the cold). Or, use ice cold water. leave on for 5 minutes or so, and then wipe the area. you should see a noticable difference. The ice has an added benefit in that it numbs the area, so while treating this way you get pain relief as well. this "test" will take only 10 minutes, and costs nothing. Then you can determine if this makes sense for you. PS - I also keep my salt water and hydrogen peroxide in the refrigerator to keep as cold as possible.

this was one of the things i learned from Marc N site. no more than 1-3 showers a week. if indeed fungus, fungus likes and needs water/moisture. quite often i spray myself with dsp spray and pat with paper towel rather than a shower. Some time back I had hammerhead toe surgery and couldn't shower or bathe for 6 weeks per Dr. I figure if sponge bathe was ok'd by Dr I can certainly do a lot of that now instead of splashing myself with what this "thing" likes. posey

Hi Cd3girls and welcome to this forum. You could be right at that. Fungi need warm and damp conditions. It is also a fact that the Morg fibers don't burn easiliy. They can stand heat even over a longer period of time. Me personally, I've never taken hot baths only showers. This could be the reason why my Morg symptoms have subsided. You know my brother has told me if they like heat then try ice packs on your head LOL which I didn't do though..didn't want to "freeze" my brain ![]() Yes, there must be a connection to warm states with high humidity like Florida for instance. Ever noticed when you look at the Morg Map there isn't one cold country like Sweden or Norway with reports of Morgellons Disease? Even here in Germany with these icey cold winters I have noticed that the symptoms get better when it's cold. It could also have something to do that fungi, insects, bacteria etc. die off by freezing temperatures. Katinka

Humidity really seems to make it worse. Something distrubing I got from Dr. Wymore's talk is that what LOOKS like it could be fungus in the samples were not. He showed them to several mycologists and none were able to identify them, but said that they "looked a littlle like" a particular kind of fungus (one mycologist thought it WAS that particular kind, but the others did not). Anyway, it's tricky, because I credit some of my recovery to soaks (Dead Sea salts, peroxide, epsom, etc). They were VERY helpful in drawing out the monsters. But then I know the benefit of keeping the air as dry as you can. SS

| I think you are right about the cold I live in Canada and the winters I feel much better. In the summer I seem to pick up bugs and parasites from the out side. I work hard out side all year round so when I come home I have to shower or bath sometimes with Sea salt, peroxide or EcoVie. A doctor told me to dry myself with a hair dryer so I dry fast and well.Because the area must be kept dry but must be clean as well. And I would like to keep living with my wife as well. | I think that before we take advice on not taking hot baths in salt, h202, etc. we should know this for sure. I have been taking baths (2x/wk) and my feeling is that the hot water and salt dries, not adds moisture to the skin/lesions. Hot water is heat. Then I dry off thoroughly and apply DSP. Sorry, but I think they do more good than harm and I'll need a lot more evidence before I stop them. As to weather (cold vs. warm), you can have moist air in the cold and you can have dry air, depending on how close to water you live. This applies to any season. Kritters |

It seems to me when soaking in the right combination the lines in the skin get LES and LESS. I use as hot a water as I can stamd, I think extreams of temperature bother this while mild temperature does not. You know somthing it is quite odd I have not cultured this malady but found a way to see it RIGHT now, to watch it GROW, see many of its different forms. I have tried to make this cheap camera work to show you a movie of it forming, you know it is really kinda sad to see this happen, post it and have everyone act like it is nothing. I explained that I saw it form and form so fast your head will spin. It will take different shapes under different conditions. The two forms I see that are constant and prominent are the blood and black muck, the other is the tripod. You do not need a petri dish. The only thing you need is a morgellons patient with a skin lesion, or a blood spot. You will not get the tripod type with alot of blood but you will when you have a lack of it and only the fluid that flows. There are other forms it takes and those are similar but different but not varied, where they take a certain form they stay that form. The one you have seen that was new to me was the blue squares, another is a sort of fern shape. The only thing really needed is somone that is a bonified researcher that can find the reason for its morphinig, such as lack of this too much of that, temperature, electric charge. I have seen the monster and watched it form, it is not a possibility it is a fact. If you have anyone with a good microscope you yourself can replacate my findings. I do need to find out if only the blood going thru the lesion is infected, I do NOT think that is the case as once it is fed into the underskin hidden or open lesion the blood is reinfected. I need a hypodermic to test this idea. You know the effect could come from the fact that I torment the lesions with things like hydrogen peroxide and GSE and that brings immune responce, without them this effect may not take place. I need a better microscope and one that will take movies, you people do need movies, explaining what I saw a thousand times will not help. Untill I get this microscope I will not be bothering with this fast growing blood, body disease again, it is of no use, a waste of time.

Baraka, Did you find your samples from your blood? Sorry I don't remember and I'll have to go back to your posts to find out but I'm wondering where you got yours. I have presented many photos as well which I have found, and haven't received much imput about them. I don't see mine moving at all, but I know they move and grow because when I go back later they've extended. What kind of fern looking thing do you have? can you post that one? I have also had one like your grid squares I posted a while back, but can't find it. I'll look again. If I know where yours came from, I'll try to replicate the findings if I can. I'm very disappointed in my second camera and scope, which was supposed to be a great one. I'm not going to buy another. Your photos are greatly appreciated. Kritters

These pictures are the FIRST I have seen of it in action, what the action is explained. I may NOT be the best orator to describe but it is the only time I have seen anyone describe the formation of this thing. The stuff is amazing to say the least. To see it form is to know the vector, to annilize the vector is to find the causitive agent. Is it the specks that the tripod forms from, it is big enough for me to see on this cheap scope, for me this was a answer to somthing I have not seen EVER seen yet. Is it too ugly to imagin, I don't feel anything is scary at this point. Do the investigators need us and the fluid the comes from the lesions, quite possibly they do. I would not think they would ignore what I have found if they are true scientists. I see alot of people have sent them dry samples, will these dry samples reanimate in the same form. Will the petri dish hand them the same initial respose. In all the pictures I have seen, NO. That may mean its morphing ability is very large, it can change according to the enviroment to so many different situations. I do not know but it seems to be EXACTLY the case. They take forms that allow them to live in the enviroment they face, can a fungus turn into a virus or bacteria, anything is possible, but is only possible to the eye of the novice because the learned man has set parimeters that say such things are impossible. I am in need of a good working microscope with a camera that has good software and takes movies that shows the actual growth of these things so others may SEE what I say is true. Is there anyone here that is talking to a reseacher, I would really like to know that they have seen already what is obvious, I want to know that I am behind them, not way ahead. If I feel I am behind then I would not be upset, but if they still use petri dishes when they can actually watch it as it strives to spread and live when actived by whatever starts it to react apon my slide. They could easily use this fluid to infect rats to see if and how it attacks their systems. I am quite sure if you injected them with this fluid mixture they would develope this disease. Then watch as the infected rats breed and what the future generations maladys would be from just breeding. In fact only remove the spearm for a infected male and use it instead of body fluids. Then use only a infected females egg and uninfected rat spearm to see just exactly which sex may carry it in the DNA. Could it be only carried in the egg or spearm. What I am saying is if this fast growing thing under my microscope that I see is the vector they have a start point. It seems now that they are all of different opinions and base the opinions on all different situations. Who or what has made it seems not to be as important as how do we stop it.
