Had my first appoinment with an LLD. I am very pleased with him. He was an example of a truely careing and knowledgeable Dr, also very humble. Thats a rare happening! He treated me with nothing but respect and even had a sense of humor. Of course I said nothing about morgs. Anyhow he entered my symptoms into his computer as he continued to give me inofrmation and ask more questions. After all of the horror stories I have heard from some of you I was quite stressed about going, but just goes to prove not all dr's are stupid or mean. It was sort of funny as I have always had problems when haveing blood taken. The nurse tried 3 times and just couldn't do it-it was ok as needles don't bother me too much, so all I could do was laugh. This is what the dr is doing, he put me on strong doses of amoxicillion and said if you have herx-then you probably have lyme-if not, it's something else, barbesia etc. Then will try something else. But am supposed to go back to try and bleed for them tomorrow, requested igenex. But am concerned with their costs-anyone know what they charge? My insurance will probably reimburse me, but I was hoping to find out the damage before hand. I figure if too much I will tell dr that we are going to have to wait and see if we can just keep going with antibiotics or go with what ever lab is covered-even if not really good. I feel positive about this as finally answers and help, and hope that this will help get rid of the creepies too. He said that his brother had lyme-had a stroke-the only symptom and he treated him and it's gone. All I can do at this point is put my trust in god. He has always been here and helped me thru the hard times.

good to hear you have a nice doc. as far as igenex mine was under 200 and that was with no insurance. so you should be able to manage it. do not be discouraged however, if you have low markers. i was instead diagnosed with among other things, borrelia and unknown, babeosis, the late stages of parasitic and infectious diseases, vasculitus, cfs, fibromialgia. just in my case what happened. those tests are so accurate even if low markers not technical positive can still be diagnosed with it. in europe i would have been positive for lymes usa is more stringent. besides with all the lines i had showing the borrelia, no healthy person would have that present. it is just my hope your doc does not think only a month will cure it. it seems like he would know this though, and will adjust treatment based on how you do, (LC). p.s. i know what you can try to stop being crawly, have you read my posts on palmolive oxy? it kills this stuff bigtime. you should have aloe on hand in case herx though. keep us posted.

Hi LC! Hope you are haveing a wonderful day! It looks like another hot one today for us. I am using the oxy you recommended when showering. It does help, but the creepy thing is just every now and then in different spots like something is wiggling under the skin. The dr. said that is a symptom of these spirochetes, I guess moving around. I think he is a good dr from what I have seen and heard from him. And with the anitbiotics that he prescribed, if it is in fact lyme-he has already given me a prescription for a six month supply. If no herx than will test me for the other co-infections and go from there. I go back for the blood draw today-wish me luck that they can get it. I called my insurance and they will reimburse 100% for lab tests. Then called Igenex and and the cost for the tests he is haveing done is 255.00-what a relief, I was thinking maybe 500 or more. I also went to the gyno last friday and tested negative for chlamidia and ghonera, told the dr to test me for anything else, so they took blood to test for hiv, hepatitis a few other things and of course for positive on herpes, which I told her I know I have. Amazingly enough I went to a great facility, the new one at Fitzsimmons. Their obgyn facility/dr's are #19 in the nation. She was really nice also and humble as well. Really feel like a lot of baggage has been lifted by just going to the dr, no matter what the results are. I will continue to let you know of my progress and the treatment etc. with the dr. For me this situation has really helped to strengthen me, I figure if I can handle this basically by myself I can handle anything. I know you understand especially with all that you are going thru and yet you just keep on living to the best of your abilities and still have the time for compassion and kindness for the rest of us. Anyhow take care and know that God will never desert you or forsake you-you are one of his children and he loves you. God Bless, Stacey
