| Moms ph was running 5.5 - 5.75 too low..acidic (which is a breed ground for virus, bacteria, fungus etc)..We needed to raise the ph to alkaline levels..she started on a product made by Jarrow Formulas - called Green Defense..she adds a scoop to a glass of water in the morning and again at night..she is herxing, but it is worth it..better coming out than remaining on the 'inside'. Her ph is now 6.5 and steadily increasing..suzzie for a list of ingredients and more information http://www.iherb.com/ProductDetails....1&pid=128&at=0

| Suzie. Lindalu posted today about ph balance and I checked mine it was low her sight stated what foods to eat to raise my alkaline and so that has been my goal today. I am curious if this is when my symptoms act up. ![]() |

| Hi Suzie, totally agree about the ph. making all the difference. I had been taking Supergreens which I think is probably the same as Jarrow, but don't know for sure. Supergreens is a powder of all the greens you mention, plus they sold a liquid to add to it for ph which upon reading the ingredients, I concluded was just Hydrogen Peroxide and salt. It was very expensive so I stopped buying it. I think I'll reorder. K |

| Suz, I was looking at them too and bought one that was on sale. Earth's Promise Strawberry flavor. I looked at the Jarrow and it seems to be good. I started using the Jarrowdolphilous when I had c diff at the recomendation of a compounding pharmacist. I did like one or two of the other green mixes because they had more "stuff" (chlorella, etc) in them. I think one was called mega greens. I asked the clerk about the taste cuz if they taste nasty, I prolly won't use them as faithfully! . I have to say, the mega A+ that stands sent me was an excellent formula and tasted good too. It has to be ordered off the net. I put mine in a smoothie in the morning (yogurt or activ, fruit, juice, coconut oil, brewers yeast, citric acid and ice and chomp/blender away untill it is 'smoothie'. I have also used protien powder before, but because of the Fabry, was told the protien would be to hard on my kidneys. I really felt better (I think) when I also had protein. Takes less than 5 minutes. I have been using the regular blender, but saw one of the generic bullets at the generic grocery store for $12 and wish i woulda gotten it. Tastes great with strawberries, banana or pineapple and I am also getting some fruits. I tried adding in some of the 'supplements-pills'. but they gave it a funky taste, so I only add what doesn't drastically change the taste. Sometimes the coconut oil hardens, but it taste good-better than trying to down the oil!- and gives it a little coconut crunch. They charge $5 for one of these at the mall! I think you are on the right track. Linda

| Hi ya'll All of you have some great suggestions and I hope to be able to use some of them. Another product that has all the greens like chlorella, spirulina, alfalfa and many more is Super Food from American Botanical Pharmacy. I like this product because it is organic or wildharvested and has NEVER been heated; therefore it has all the enzymes as well as everything else. Taste not so good , but mixes well in grape or berry juice. I always use fresh juice I make. It is a little pricey, but you get "more bang for your buck". I rarely get any , but I feel much better when I have it. This is not a sales pitch, it is just a good product. The ph of the body can easily be raised by adding liquid chlorphyll to your water. It is made from alfalfa. It has a mint flavor. When I get some, I get it from Nature's Sunshine. Ph can be checked with ph strips using saliva and urine. Twice a day keeps a good check on where you are. TIP: Getting too alkaline is just as bad as being to acid, so around 7-7.5 on hte ph scale is good. Just my two cents ![]() gator ![]() |

she said she can tell by her mothers face this is not a good tasting drink ![]() But that her mom knows it is to build up her immune system. I dont know if I saw an equivalent capsule supplement are not ![]() But would be worth checking out. I take a lot of herbs and supplements that are listed there already. I know wheat grass is suppose to be really good for you. I was wondering what others opinion on soy might be? I use to consume a lot of soy powder and products. I quit a few years ago, I have changed my mind about the benefits of consuming it. I realize it is in everything as fillers. I had terrible night sweats and other symptoms while consuming soy milk and products. As soon as I quit all the extra soy those symptoms went away. I even had less headaches. Gator? |

| Michelle, I bought a capsule called Immunactin by Nature's Plus. It has a lot of good stuff in it, but not as much as the powder supplememt. It is another one of those big capsules. I have gotten so tired of swallowing pills! That is why a decent tasting mix sounded good to me! I had bought flax seed and oil before all of this started, but never really used them. (Bought them because I thought I would get a jump start on menopause symptoms!) I have added some flax seed (ground) to the smoothies when I am out of wheat germ. I have cut out most dairy and have had soy milk a few times lately and really did not notice anything. Wheat grass is very beneficial, but oh, the taste will make you want to !!!!~~~~ Noni juice is also . Goji juice is tolerable. But, quite honestly, I have made "that" face with a lot of things I have taken lately in the name of getting well!Gator, i am going to get the liquid chlorphyll . Thanks for the tip. I am working on PH. BTW, I am headed to NIH on the 9th. Even though I am going for the Fabry disease, I am hoping just maybe they can shed some light on this crap. Linda

| Jarrow green defense is what I have been using-I also use the Diamateous earth-I eather mix them both in water and drink down fast-not much of a taste, or add both of them to a smoothie every morning. There are so many choices in the health food stores, so now I look for one with no sugar if at all possible. |
