Default Protecting our children

A progress report on my two year old son. He is sooo much better everyone. The sore on his forehead has healed well with DSP.I think it`s very important to keep the house clean too.
I was forced to shave all his lovely hair off last week as he was itching his scalp so much and he looks like a thug with a skin head.It seems to have helped alot but everyone went crazy at me saying I`ve gone too far now cutting off his lovely blond locks.I know I`ve done the right thing though. Love carla xxxx

Carla, That's wonderful your son is doing good. I applaud you for doing what you thought was right to protect your son. As Moms, don't others get that we are only trying to protect & strengthen our little ones? I had my 2 boys do the Contrast Sensitivity Test yesterday; one neg., one pos. It's so overwhelming sometimes, seeing their fatigue, bites, aches & strange hairs/fibers. I refuse to give up, although lately I feel I'm going over the edge. Keep up the good work, Carla!
Hugs, Philly

I have a child with this disease too and am very scared for her.

I think as parents of sick children, more than anyone we need to get involved in advocacy efforts to get the disease recognized.

Please check out the advocacy pages at www.morgellons.org and write some letters and make some phone calls.

Also, if you know any microbiologists, see if you can get them involved by having them contact the MRF.

Thanks, Pez

Great news Carla!

You take care of your babies as you see fit! As a mom and grandmom with this disease, I had to make some pretty hard choices to protect my children from this awful disease! Many people didn't agree with my decisions which sent me into further depression. But now I am at peace with my decisions. The people here are just awesome!

I support you 100%. You're a great mom! Your baby's hair will grow back just as beautiful as it was before you cut it!

Peace and Blessings!
Jay

Thanks so much for the replies.I love this place so much.I feel all warm now.Having everyone here who believe me makes the world of difference to this disease.I don`t have rows with my family anymore. If they don`t believe me so what. One day soon they will.
I had a good cry yesterday when my mum visited.I hate to worry her but couldn`t help myself. It was like being a child again with my mum hugging me.
Love Carla xxx

Hi Carla

I too have cut my hair VERY SHORT.....I had so many lesions on the left side of my scalp i felt it necessary to do that.....and it did help.....one great biggy has almost healed and you would not believe how long I battled that one.....I stil have several but the burning pinching pain is drastically reduced....

I know my hair cut for a 50 year old woman looks like I am trying to fit in with the unusual hair styles these days but it was out of desperation the hair fell to the floor....and I too am so glad I did.....

I can't go to the beauty salon but maybe just maybe I get these lesions healed on my scalp and let my hair grow out and spoil myself with a trip to the salon.....for I haven't been to a hair salon in 4 years because of a scalp of lesions and at times I couldn't even run a brush through my hair the left side it hurt so bad....

I know you did the right thing cutting his hair.....it certainly has belped me and that was just several weeks ago I did this....

Keep up the good work Carla. The skin head look is very cool. My boys are featuring a number 1 crew cut. They wanted long hair and I have do what is right. They still have little lint balls and fuzz come out of their scalp when they sweat or swim.

I'll let you know what they say in SF.

Melissa
