Question about salt/vit C protocal

Hi. I went to the health food store today to look for Rock Salt to start the salt/vit C protocal but all I could find was HimalaSalt (http://www.himalasalt.com/) The lasy at the store said it was the same thing(And it was very expensive 21.99 for 2.8 oz of salt! ) Can someone tell me if this will work with the protocal?

That is the best salt ever. But I use Natural rock salt. ???It about $5 at my version of Walmart.Shop around and you should get it cheaper. I hope your well .Love Carla xxx

Hi Folks

I have a question as well. I'm not taking anything yet, salt or vit C mainly because I have an upcoming doctor appt and I don't want to compromise blood work etc.

About the salt...do you get at a health food store, if so, what kind? How much do you take per day? Also, is it a safe combo. I'm nervous because I took a bad reaction to a herbal product yrs ago.

Right now I'm starting a candida diet, basically cutting out sugar and most carbs. I have many signs of a yeast overload and parasites...it's a bit confusing 'cause they have different food plans for different ailments...so what are you supposed to do when you have both? I think I need to consult Sylvia Brown for this one!! Just kidding.

HimalaSalt is very good but make sure the company does not use a grinder made of nickel. The salt is very hard,(and in the grinding process), if they use a grinder made of nickel the nickel dust contaminates the salt..Not good..will poison you..call supplier/manufacturer and if they don't know what you're talking about do not buy that brand...suzzie

Lisa.... while you are on this salt and vit C diet... what else do you eat/drink ? In fact do you have a normal diet apart from the Vit C and Salt?? Think I may get to trying it if other things don't work... So glad it's helping you.. Hilly xx

So glad to hear your salt and vit c has helped. I'm planning on starting that soon as well, just want to get a doctor appointment out of the way. I bought a box of Kosher salt yesterday...like you ...from my grocery store. I guess you want to make sure it's a pure product without too many additives? Do you dilute the salt?

I've started a yeast free diet . It sucks, but I'm hoping it will help. There's so many books and so many different variations about what you can and cannot eat. I cannot live without fruit and some of these diets restrict all fruits for a couple of weeks and then you slowly re introduce them, but I have found a great book that allows certain fruit, ones that have low sugar etc. I have noticed that eating anything sweet such as pastries or cookies makes me have a heck of a reaction from these things. So I hope by switching to a healthier diet my immune system will change for the better and kick these critters to the curb!!! I know it's wishful thinking but it can't hurt. My sugar level was quite high last summer...my mom is a diabetic so I have to be careful.

Anyway, yesterday I was at my dentist appointment. I was dreading it 'cause of what may pop into my mouth etc. As soon as the dental hygienist turned on her light those little white fibers were in full swing. My heart sank because I could have sworn one came out of my nose. I tried not to focus on them and hoped she wouldn't notice, if she did she didn't say anything, thank goodness. I also took my treatment bath last night....there wasn't much stuff exiting...don't know if that's good or bad, but afterwards I noticed many white things coming out of my left hand. Strange. Oh well just another day living with this crappy thing.
