mononucleosis lab in CA

Hi guys.....I've been wanting to share an experience that has me questioning the truth about a testing lab in CA. Again...I'm just questioning...not accusing.

Around April of 10' my daughter (7 years old at the time) got very ill. She had a fever of 102+ for about 21 days! Her feet and hands would be hot and prickly and she would only get relief (if I can even call it relief) by frantically putting her hands and feet on the cold walls next to my bed, or couch....where ever she would be laying down. She had many other symptoms too (flu like symptoms) EXTREME FATIGUE!

Anyways, the doctors/hospitals didnt become concerned until after she had the fever for 14 days....It was then that they started testing her for other illnesses...like mono. The test came back negative...along with a few other tests. It was only after about 20 days that they decided to test her for other immune disorders like Lupus...I was so scared for her. My poor daughter was misserable! They sent off her blood work to different labs to be tested.....Including a lab in California that specifically was only a lab for Mono (Epstein Barr Virus).....Her test came back POSITIVE! The test in the doctors office came back negative, and when the lab tested her blood, I got a positive diagnosis. HMMMMM......It seems strange that ths lab in CA only tests for the Epstein Barr Virus...Which is obviously an immune disorder (a temporary one with no treatment) I was told she just had to ride it out....which she did. I'm wondering if that lab may be a facility that tests for an immune disorder once everything else is ruled out....even Epstein Barr! and maybe giving out a diagnosis other than "M" (since M isnt currently a diagnosis they are willing to give out).......It seems strange to me. I dont know a whole lot about Mono, but it seems to have the same treatment as Morgellons----NOTHING!....and eventuallt symptoms will pass...Similar to Morgellons (where symptoms can come and go) And by that I mean we have our good days and our bad crappy ones!

I'm positive my daughter has Morgs.....I've seen the fibers plus she has a weak immune system and will get phenomia easily, any time she becomes slightly ill with a cold.

In April of 10' maybe my daughter had a flare up of Morgellons....and maybe its not so easy for a doctor to diagnose children with DOP or Chronic Fatigue with out parents screaming for help and an explaination for their babies...and insisting on treatment....Maybe its easier to set up a lab and return a positive diagnosis for untreatable symptoms...and pass it off as Mono!

Has anybody else had their blood work sent to this lab in CA?....Anybody ever heard of this lab?

Your so right a test lab dealing only with mono, how odd.

I have had this a very very long time now, close to forty years now.

At one point in my symptoms I became very hot, very hot, it was like being cooked and after this I became very cold and started to shiver like mad, this also happened to my darling g/f.

The fact of the matter is I can't really remember weather I was hot or cold first, it took me over, delerious, my G/F was first.

It was sort of what you see in the movies During Malaria, but it lasted less than 8 hours, that is if I remember right.

WHY WOULD THERE BE A LAB THAT ONLY TESTS FOR ONE THING, THAT HAS TO BE LIMITING.

Maybe this little test facillity is a government stab at accumulating results of the disease that does not exist.

Telling doctors some lie to get them to send peoples blood work showing signs that they can not control with drugs.

Kinda like a if you have tried everything else try this lab, it must be MONO.

I would like to see their advertisement, that would be interesting.

The doctors are too stupid to ask questions, such as you have asked, doctors are robots.

I Binged "Epstein Barr laboratory in CA and saw two different possable matches.....Then I clicked on "Epstien Barr Pictures"...mostly because my daughter didn't have any symptoms that I could take a picture of so I was curious about what Epstein Barrs looks like........A few rows into browsing the pics I came across a Morgellons pic! With a link this Doctor....It looks like he treats M patients with great care and love. I wish I was in CT!

I had a chance to have a very nice talk with a MD. We were on a even playing field, he told me before we even got into health that he was not into prescription drugs, he said quickly, new drugs especially were not his idea of good.

He said the trial tests were not done in America anymore for drugs, most every one is done in China, South America or other areas where poverty was rampant and results could be bought cheap.

This fine fellow was buying my hyperbaric chamber, he has heard too many good things about the use by other doctors.

I wanted to fill him in but he probably would have posted a DOP diagnosis ONLINE, LOL.
