| I wrote before on the Vagus nerve and have been thinking about it quite often now as my heart rate is from 50 to 55, this could cause some real problems. Years ago the doctors told me I was such a prime example of helth that I had a long distance runners heart rate. I did exersize and was in great shape BUT I was by no means a super athlete. I have remembered lately two other friends that were rushed to the hospitol with wild and eratic heartbeat, pain in their chests with no results of heart attack. I have a very funny feeling that the nerves that serve the heart, not only the Vagus but the other nerves also are being invaded by this monster. The fact of the matter with the VAGUS nerve is this, it is connected to the outer ear canal, thats where my itching was, and the throat, my throat has been afflicted since I got this and the heart and we know what is happening there now, low heartbeat rate. The one man was diagnosed with a lymph gland that is swollen pressing on his heart, lymph glands sweel when there is a problem in that area, I also have a knot in that same spot. | There are many possible reasons for heart dysfunction, including damage to the heart from parasitic infections. Detection however is key. That's why it is so hard for us to understand that parasites may be involved with some of our symptoms. In Chagas the parasites actually infiltrate the heart, enlarging it and weakening it which would cause the heart rhythm to slow dramatically. Sometimes the rhythm of the heart will become erratic too. Then a pacemaker is required. Another infection which can be behind heart issues is malaria which can reactivate years later in deeper heart issues such as atrial fibrillation. Doctors, being doctors, think every thing is a mechanical issue and seldom connect heart disease to the actual disease process going on behind it: "Chagas disease Chagas disease is common in Mexico and South America. It is thought that Charles Darwin suffered from chronic Chagus disease following his trip to South America. It is caused by T. cruzi, and is characterized by an acute phase in which several symptoms occur: anemia, loss of strength, nervous disorders, chills, muscle and bone pain, and varying degrees of heart failure. Death may occur 3-4 weeks after infection. A chronic form of Chagas disease is seen usually in adults. The chronic form is characterized by dysfunctions in the central and peripheral nervous system. Many patients die of heart failure due to an enlargement of the heart and subsequent lack of cardiac muscle tone. Others suffer heart damage because the parasite damages the nervous supply to the heart. The heart muscle then atrophies (the muscle shrinks). The atrophy leads to congestive heart failure, because the muscle cannot pump blood efficiently. The intestine may also become immobile and enlarged due to the degradation of the nervous supply to that organ. Nifurtimox, available in the US, kills the parasite when it is in the blood. However, there is no known treatment for the intracellular stages of the parasite. Treatment of parasite-induced heart failure is an attempt to control the symptoms. Intestinal problems usually require surgical repair." http://www.cartage.org.lb/en/themes/sciences/lifescience/generalbiology/microbiology/ParasiticProtozoa/ParasiticProtozoa.htm

| The three things that are connected here are EARS, THROAT and HEART all three of these have issues, not just with me but also many others, could this be chagus disease that is the cause of VAGUS NERVE PROBLEMS, maybe, its just a simptom. I see you agree, thanks, the nerves can be violated by a disease. |

| Well, BO, of course the nervous system can be attacked by different diseases and parasites. MS and Parkinson's are biggies. Are you just finding that out? Anyway, I am so glad you agree with me that parasites can attack the nervous system as well as the heart. BTW they do not attack just one nerve in the body. Or even one organ. Since you claim you are having heart problems I would bet that a long standing parasitic infection you contracted in Asia is at the bottom of it. Of course if it's a long standing parasitic infection many parasites such as the protozoal type parasites are extremely hard to diagnose. Most doctors know less than nothing about parasites. It's just too bad you cannot get up to Walter Reed where some pretty interesting work is being done on parasite diagnosis and parasite treatment. Anyway... Here's what some folks who should know have to say about the parasite issue: "In recent medical studies it has been estimated that 85% of the North American adult population has at least one form of parasites living in their bodies. “Make no mistake about it, parasites are the most toxic agents in the human body. They are one of the primary underlying causes of disease and are the most basic cause of a compromised immune system.” Dr. Hazel Parcells, D.C., N.D., Ph.D. In North America, colon and digestion problems became the 3rd most frequent cause of hospitalization of 14-44 year-olds, and 2nd among 45-65 year-olds. Dr. Alex Livshin, M.D. Ph.D “I believe the single most undiagnosed health challenge on the history of the human race is parasites. I realize that it is a pretty brave statement, but it is based on my 20 years of experience with more than 20,000 patients.” Dr. Ross Anderson, parasitic infection specialist. “In terms of numbers, there are more parasitic infections acquired in this country, than in Africa.” Dr. Frank Nova, Chief of the Laboratory of Parasitic Disease of the National Institute of Health “We have a tremendous parasite problem right here in the U.S., it is just not being addressed.” Dr. Peter Wina, Chief of the Patho-Biology in the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research Common Symptoms of Parasites in Humans Constipation. Gas or bloating. Diarrhea. Pains or aches in the back, joints or muscles. Irritable bowel syndrome. Allergies. Increased appetite. Itchy ears, nose or anus. Nervousness or grumpiness. Chronic fatigue, lethargy or apathy. Various skin problems. Tooth grinding or clenching. Anemia. Excess weight. Forgetfulness. Vision problems. Problems sleeping. What You Should Know About Parasites Worms can cause physical trauma to the body by the perforation of the intestines, circulatory system, lungs, liver and other organs. Worms can also erode, damage or block certain organs. They can lump together and make a ball, a “tumor”. They can go into the brain, heart, lungs and make untold misery for the host. Parasites have to eat, so they rob us of our nutrients. Parasites poison us with their toxic waste called “verminous intoxication” and is difficult to diagnose. | I am well aware of the ability of parasites and their connection to futuring disease in the body of every living creature on earth, BUT this post is not really about parasites and what they can do, This thread is about the VAGUS NERVE, I guess we could also talk about the invasion of all the nervous system and parasites, but then it seems you leave out some of the other most invasive items known to man, bacteria, virus, and things not yet known to man. The reason I have FOCUSED on the VAGUS nerve is because of the things it is hooked to, THROAT, OUTER EARS, and HEART. It seems from very early on the outer ears(itching beyond belief) and throat(horse, painful, flem,) has been afflicted, also there was always a pain right where the heart is and a lesion came out over the top of that pain. It is my friends, friends that have been with the same women I have that seem to have this heart issue also, so did they get parasites, I do not know, did they get a virus, I do not know, did they get a bacteria, maybe but not likely as MOST bacteria can be eradicated although bacteria can superstrain to a point where it is almost impossible to eradicate, same with fungus and mold. Like any issue, my doctor was ready to give me 10 drugs, slam a pace maker into my chest to kick up my heart beat, I think I need to look further, the Vagus nerve is somthing I wish to explore, thank you for your post on parasites I will read what you have sent as it does take time to compile good information on avenues of disease. I am wondering actually if there is any treatments known to return the heart beat to normal without such a device being planted into my chest, right at this moment I am quitting taking anything and everything as I would like the best reading I can get from my tortured kidneys. I do have some good news, I have been drinking as tea a heaping tablespoon of turmeric, and pain has subsided and thumping in my head is also nill. I can not argue the fact that we may be invaded by a microscopic slow killer, I have found one inside me, and what look like tons of dead bodies of such things in waste material, man has had these for thousands of years, can man control everything, not likely, but he is trying. | I know you do not want to entertain the idea that your heart issues could be linked to parasites of any kind. However since most of us also have lyme disease you might want to think about this. Heart disease associated with some parasites can be reversed or improved by using the right medication to treat the parasites. So you may want to consider parasites as a possible cause for your heart symptoms. Or maybe your heart has been damaged by bacteria or viruses in which case the damage probably cannot be reversed. Do you not find it ironic that turmeric is helping you with your heart pain? This is an herb which is used in traditional cultures to treat parasites and other microbes such as bacteria, fungi and viruses: Lyme Disease Cardiac SymptomsLyme Disease Cardiac Symptoms Lyme disease can have serious health implications, including cardiac dangers if not treated quickly. Although the infection begins with the bite of a tick and the manifestation of a bulls-eye rash, International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society reports that many people who are infected do not recall having the rash anywhere on their bodies. Unfortunately, it is this oversight that causes some to seek treatment further into the illnesses' progression, or when they are very symptomatic.

| You are wrong about my parrasite perseption, I am well aware of the havock they can exude apon the human body. This was actually in my very first line of the post, and there was more in that same post that said I did not know if it was parasites or not, how could I know, how could you KNOW we do not have a fully staffed laboratory to tell us yes or no after testing for ourselves. I do understand that not only do parasites carry disease, they also leave their waste inside us, and burrow through our organs and block them. One of my friends was told his heart looked like swiss cheese, I wonder what did that. Thanks once again for the article on lyme, I did test very high on band 7 so I just have to wonder could it be the fact that parasites or parasite disease is what has ahold on my heart. |

| Some of my first symptoms of exposure was something caught in the back of my throat for days. Later, my throat began constricting and choking me for a 24 hour period after I had cosmetic surgery to support one of my eyes with a fat transplant. The morgies also went after my vagus nerve and my heartbeat, causing irregular heartbeats and panic attacks. I've never had panic attacks or heart problems. They don't run in my family -- in fact, our hearts are unusually strong. Since taking massive doses of Ivermectin, my heart is fine and I don't have panic attacks and my hair is growing back. It also appears that my eye's problem was partly the result of an auto accident when I was 4 years old, but it got to looking bad when the area got infected with morgies -- most likely due to underlying ancient tissue damage in the area that made it harder for my body to repel infestation in that area. Thus, I never needed surgery in the first place -- just getting rid of the infestation. |

| This situation can attack previous injury sites and when you heal the area that was an issue seems to heal up better than it ever was. I had a tiny scar on my cheek and forhead all my life they are gone. I have not taken only two times Ivermectin for 5 days. That was it. Glad your feeling better Kira. I had a checkup today they said I was in perfect health and not to worry, LOL. My kidneys, prostate were all checked, I did not like it, nope not at all, There was one diagnosis instantly after the special ultrasound anal instrument, THAT DIAGNOSIS, some men could never be gay.LOL. |
