| Hello everyone,I hope you are all on your way to recovering from this,I had applied bleach to some areas, where I had this infection, the next day they were swollen and painful,I believe my gp thought I had herpes and he put me on valtrex.I then made an appointment to my gynecologist and she ran alot of lab tests. She told me I had a gram negative bacteria that she found when i did a swab test from a lesion site she didnt name it but she said it was often found in urinary tract infections. Many months later I came down with pnemonia the emergency room Dr admitted me I told him I had a gram negative infection and to please give me the name of it,after checking the lab,he came back up and told me I did indeed have a gram negative bacteria and gave me the name. The name is klebsiella it was all into my lungs and after doing some reading I see it is indeed a cause of urinary tract infections and my gynecologist had told me I had sjogrens syndrome which can be caused by klebsiella. I hope this helps. love terri

| Its funny I am excited when I see people with positive results, now I will look it up, see pictures, and just imagine how this would work against us. I will also mix the word mycoplasma with the word klebsiella to see if they have dinner together. |

| Hi Terri. Thanks for sharing what you have been experiencing and being persistent in trying to find out what gram negative bacteria has been involved in your symptoms. It's great when members take the time to post their positive test results here as it may help others. I hope your eyes have been doing somewhat better as I know you have had some issues for some time with them. Good to see you back.

| The list compiled is the frequency of these disease in 221 people that were infected with lung problems http://journals.tums.ac.ir/upload_files/pdf/5857.pdf It seems they are thinking that the infection you have (klebsiella) causes a wide range of human disease. Treatment for mycoplasma and klebsiella? - YouQA Because I have had 3 operations and this disease affects the urinary tract I would certainly think I should be tested for (klebsiella) Yes thanks alot Terri for posting, every little clue opens another door. |

| Yes, I do remember you terri as I know you have had a lot of serious health issues, even including the thyroid (hyper). I am so glad to hear you are taking care of yourself and being careful with what you try and do as far as your colon cleansing. I hope you get to feeling better soon. It's great that you have a doctor that you like and who you can trust. That's so important to getting well, probably nearly as important as any drugs or treatment you may get. Here's some of the gram negative bacterias as discussed in a Wiki article. It will be interesting to learn which of these could be involved in your illness pattern. As you can see there's a lot more than just one of these types of bacteria: The proteobacteria are a major group of Gram-negative bacteria, including Escherichia coli (E. coli), Salmonella, Shigella, and other Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas, Moraxella, Helicobacter, Stenotrophomonas, Bdellovibrio, acetic acid bacteria, Legionella and alpha-proteobacteria as Wolbachia and numerous others. Other notable groups of Gram-negative bacteria include the cyanobacteria, spirochaetes, green sulfur and green non-sulfur bacteria. Medically relevant Gram-negative cocci include three organisms, which cause a sexually transmitted disease (Neisseria gonorrhoeae), a meningitis (Neisseria meningitidis), and respiratory symptoms (Moraxella catarrhalis). Medically relevant Gram-negative bacilli include a multitude of species. Some of them primarily cause respiratory problems (Hemophilus influenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Legionella pneumophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa), primarily urinary problems (Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Enterobacter cloacae, Serratia marcescens), and primarily gastrointestinal problems (Helicobacter pylori, Salmonella enteritidis, Salmonella typhi). Gram-negative bacteria associated with nosocomial infections include Acinetobacter baumannii, which cause bacteremia, secondary meningitis, and ventilator-associated pneumonia in intensive-care units of hospital establishments. | So that's the only bacteria which was found? I thought you meant you still did not know all of them as yet because the doctor left the room and did not return to tell you the rest. I think that someone else a while back mentioned this particular bacteria. I'll do a search and see if I can find any other mention. It's a good thing though that they found this out--I hope something will be done to treat you. Doing a search now to find some natural suggestions for gram negative bacteria: SEAWEEDS-- Sea vegetables such as Kelp, Wakame, Undaria, Kombu and Nori protect parrots as well as humans against several gram positive and gram negative bacteria known to potentiate carcinogens in the system. They posses anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-tumor properties. They are powerful immunostimulants. (just a small amount daily, especially if thyroid is an issue or the type of thyroid issue is auto-immune related) The Kitchen Physician Herbal Remedies for Parrots Garlic: Garlic is rich in antibiotic powers and strengthens the immune system. It is active against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria, including Shigella dysenteriae, Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Streptococcus spp., Salmonella spp., Camphylobacter spp., Proteus mirablis, and Bacillius anthraxis. ARTICLES BY GAIL - Herbs for the Immune System Rhubarb (the herb) Some research indicates that rhubarb used with other herbs may help treat gram negative bacteria: Researcher Deng Wenlong, of the Sichuan Provincial Institute of Chinese Materia Medica, presented a paper at Chengdu University of TCM in China explaining rhubarb’s traditional reputation for treating fevers and inflammatory diseases. He began by describing endotoxins, chemicals that are released into the host as a result of the breakdown of the cell walls of Gram-negative bacteria. He demonstrated that endotoxin content in the blood increased greatly in the presence of severe stress, inflammation or infection, and that the bowel was the greatest repository of endotoxin. With the use of rhubarb (and other herbs) to remove endotoxin from the bowel, animals infected with a variety of febrile diseases experienced faster resolution (Wenlong, 1994).
