Hi Safry,
I was in the Gulf of Mexico, Cabo San Lucas May of 2004.
I grew up in San Diego and was at Ocean and Mission Beach (grandmother lived there) all through 70's.
I lived in Northern Ca. along coast late 80's early 90's. Have been back to vacation.

Grew up in Los Angeles, so went to the Pactific alot, although haven't been there since 1963. Been to the Gulf of Mexico but not since 1975. I didn't handle any shellfish, but picked up lots of shells.

Was at san diego beach in 1986, handled sea shells and sea weed on beach, walked in water. Collected some sea shells since then from the craft store for decoration.If these are glass sponge, would the pattern or design be in the white things in the lesion? Let me know what to look for...
