Major breakthrough in the diagnosis of parasitic diseases

This is one that concerns me living in Southern California.

Janice,

Was it hard to get an appointment at the university? Did you doctor have to refer you?

No it was not hard at all. I think it was just a fluke that I have an appointment with the head of the infectious disease dept. I had been part of a U of M study group for experimental drugs for hep-c. I am resistant to any traditional drugs for hep-c.
I have been to U of M derm group.. but it was unsuccsessful. The doctor in Germany told me to go to the infectious disease dept at any university. That they should be familiar with any Filarial sub- cutanious infection or what ever it is that I (possibly we) have.

The story gets stranger and stranger.

Janice,

That's great that they are helping you. Sorry to here about the Hep C. Do you think the Vitamin C intravenously is helping that?

Default another email response from DR. Eichner

at the University of Tubingen Germany.
He said that sub cutanious filarial worms are easy to see with a microscope.

Does any one know when they take a skin biopsie what the protocol is for that.
What do they check for? Besides cancer.
Has any one here had a skin scraping and it was put under a microscope in front of them?

What Dr. Eicher dosn't understand is they dont want to do skin scraping here or blood test to check for such things. He can't understand why I am having a hard time being diagnosed with what ever it is I have.
I have to thank the good doctor for his replies and taking time out for some unknown person in America.

I understand that Dr. Uppal is doing a study on Morgellons and is looking for 250 volunteers. I did call her office, trying to get details on this so I could post them, but did not get a return call. She may not have gotten the message.

I think Dereck72 on this board has information about it - you there, Dereck??

Default hello Sadsack

That would be wonderful! I would love to be in her group!.
I would just like to see the U of M infectious disease doc first on the 18th.
It just gets crazier every day, or is it just me getting crazier every day. Janice

Yes , I think the vit C is doing great things for my liver and also my skin is healing faster. There are people out there that think that ones viral load will be lower if not all together undectable after 12 wks of mega doses. I am feeling better than I have for the last few years. Janice

Janice,

That is great news! I happy for you! Does your insurance cover any part of that or do you have pay out of pocket?

No my insurance does not cover this.
It is $100 per session. I don't think this is bad at all.
