| Check this out! When I went to the health center and saw the MD there who diagnosed me with the 'severe' candidiasis, among other things, he gave me a bunch of supplements for various things. I shoved them in my cabinet after looking them over because I had other things already which it seemed performed the same therapeutic actions. Well, this morning, I started an inventory to see what I could take at this time and came across "MYCOSTAT COMPLEX C" and the FIRST ingredient is....guess what? you got it!!! BIOTIN!!! I'll have to go back to find my post on biotin being a very important vitamin (a B complex) in preventing the yeast form from becoming the pathogenic form of candida, but this is just amazing to me. Something this quietly unnoticeable sitting along all the other ingredients on the container; something I never would have thought twice about unless I researched candida; and something I doubt 99% of the medical docs would know to give their patients. (more on that later...) bottom line is..... It's very unusual to be deficient in biotin, according to what I've read. So either our bodies cannot absorb, or (my belief) whatever 'parasites' we have in our systems are using the B vitamins from our sources (what parasites do) for their own proliferation. Kritts I want to add the other nutrients contained in the capsules: Biotin Vit E Calcium(amino acid chelate) Magnesium(amino acid chelate) Potassium(amino acid chelate) Caprylic Acid Propionic Acid Sorbic Acid Last edited by Kritters; February 12th, 2010 at 09:22 AM. |

| I REALLY HOPE more people will A-take part in the above poll and then B-start taking Biotin or find the foods that contain it and implement in your diet. I'm not saying this will cure anyone, but if it takes care of the candida (along with all the other candida remedies of course) it's a step in the right direction, IMO. I'm going to adjust my first post on this to say that if you HAVE been tested for candida albicans and got a NEGATIVE to please be specific..not general... about exactly when and what you were tested for. If you're taking pro-biotics the tests might be negative at that time. So far, only our Megster polled negative and I hope she will re-visit and refine her vote. xoxoKritts |

| Kritts, I can't seem to be able to reply to your post by clicking reply (?) But earlier, at the day job, I thought of our agro-Candida connection. Theory: Agro's the Morg, see, it goes around zingin' holes inside us. What you posted about this research that candida is the final stage of life/decomposition...Morg goes 1st, candida decaying all it harms would come after the damage, so I think you're TOTALLY right and Morgies would have to have more candida inside them! Those consultations from Doc will tell ALL and we can ask them. I have to go look at my consultation and see what they said on it. I had already done a candida killer from that 1 holistic before I got my 1st consulation from Precision, though. |

| E-girl.... I don't see it that way completely.....yes for some, no for others. I just found this tonite: Candida International: Is Cancer Caused by the Candida Fungus? Not only that, but the list you provided of the Morgellons symptoms are the same as Candida symptoms.... I'm ridden with candida and the fibers I take from my body are the same as those associated with candida....with a twist. In this case, Candida is not the grim reaper completely, but prolly a strong carrier of the message. The Trojan Horse, so to speak. Somehow, it's doing a job and we don't know what that job is. | Candida International: January 2010 I cannot believe where my focus on candida has led me. I'm very serious here and I want to take this information to another forum if I can manage it. To see a website created specifically for candida INTERNATIONAL ....no less tells me I ain't duh first to think of this association. And...it's not a SECONDARY infection. Kritts |

| I've no doubt at this time that the reason the CDC won't find out what Morgellons is (I mean..TELL anyone what it is..) Is because Candida Albicans is majorly implicated. And if it is, and naturopathic remedies can cure it and also cure cancer, a great number of people will be out of work and major companies will lose profits. Cure cancer? what will we do for a job now? Oh, I know.....turn tricks on the subway? A step up from the deception, and soul-selling that's been the job requirement. Yes, agro is also part of this, but I think C.albicans is the DNA gravy train. This is the real deal folks. I'm sure of it. Kritts Last edited by Kritters; February 13th, 2010 at 12:19 AM. |

| Candida Candida overgrowth may also cause a condition called Intestinal Hyper-Permeability, more commonly know as Leaky Gut Syndrome (LGS). This condition occurs when the wall of the gastrointestinal tract is damaged. The Candida change form, creating rhizoids, root like structures that break the intestinal walls. A healthy intestinal wall will allow only nutrients to enter bloodstream, but when it is damaged, larger molecules such as incompletely digested fats, proteins, and toxins may also slip through. The body recognizes these substances as foreign and forms antibodies to them, causing the patient to suddenly become allergic to foods they would previously been able to eat without a problem. LGS may also lead to environmental allergies, causing the patient to respond to inhalants in their general environment. The patient may also form antibodies to proteins similar to, or the same as, human proteins This can lead the immune system to attack parts of the patient's own body. With LGS, vitamin and mineral deficiencies are common because the patient lacks the ability to move minerals and vitamins from the gut to the blood. When the Candida becomes controlled and the gut has healed, food allergies will remain until antibodies to that food have been eliminated. okay, this is what I've been waiting for. Why the biotin is not absorbed into the gut to prevent yeast from becoming pathogenic. yaaaay! Krittts (p.s.... also why my abdominal area got so LARGE!!!) |

I took your poll .....i think candida is a major issue for me and has been for years. The best thing besides low carb no sugar diet I found is caprylic acid. What exactl y did you mean about the lymebusters site?

| Selected Books from experts on Candida and Candidiasis on the intestinal yeast infection Just for those who may want to do further study about candida, here are some books about it. In TCM dampness is associated with cancer and parasites and would be with candida as well, though I have never heard that specifically discussed by those who treat this way.

| Thanks, Toots! Much appreciated! Great information re: caprylic acid! Looks like it actually kills C.albicans! "...How caprylic acid works Caprylic acid works by dissolving the cell membranes of the yeast to penetrate and kill the fungi. As such, caprylic acid, along with garlic, grapeseed extract, oregano oil and pau d'arco, is said to be a natural anti-fungal remedy. It is naturally found in butters and coconut oil. Caprylic acid is a fat soluble acid and will need other essential fatty acids like Omega-3 and Omega-6 to fight the yeast infection. For this reason, women should have a moderate amount of fat in their diet or risk getting candida infections...." Thanks!! Kritts |
