Thanks Jo and all who have participated now! (3 heavy metal music lovers, huh? LOL) Please remember everyone that you can do your own candida test by spitting in a glass and seeing whether it sinks or swims...(floats). Looks to me so far that those who HAVE been tested test positive for both candida and heavy metal. Kritts

7 of us participated in the poll. Thanks to you who did. Don't forget, you can do the candida spit test. So you can enter that you WERE tested and whether or not you have candida. Kritts

I'm now wondering if the test for Candidiasis is as inconclusive as the 'standard' tests for Lyme are. Seems to me that with all the different strains (at least 120) there could very well be faulty test results. ![]()

| Thanks, Saro for taking the poll! It seems to me that everyone here should get tested for candida. I realize it's just my notion and my opinion, but the more I read about it, the more sure I am that it is the cause for many diseases. If it remains in our systems, there's no chance we can get rid of whatever Morgellons is. That goes for mercury as well. Candida and Dental Mercury Connection Candida converts the element mercury to methyl mercury which is 100 times more toxic. Mercury chelation might deliver more mercury to the system temporarily allowing the candida-methyl mercury conversion. Bacteria should die in the face of mercury but instead converts it for its own survival. For more details on dental mercury read Dr Huggins book It's all in your Head. Intestinal Health Institute Don't forget you can do your own testing AT LEAST by spitting in a glass of water and seeing if it floats or drops to the bottom (mine dropped like the ball at Times Square on New Years) Does anyone remember the name or link to the site of the person who discusses all about the spit test for candida? | Candida and Chronic Sinus Problems Sinusitis, an illness that affects nearly 37 million Americans, is an inflammation of the membranes of the nose and sinuses. Sinusitis frequently causes painful headaches, runny nose, nasal passage congestion and swelling, and a diminished sense of taste and smell. The condition affects the following sinus areas: frontal (above the eyes), maxillary (cheekbone area), ethmoid (behind the bridge of the nose) and sphenoid (behind the eyes.) The skin of the nasal passages has tiny little hairs projecting from it called cilia. The movement of the cilia helps push mucus produced in the sinuses into the respiratory tract—generally, this movement helps to clear the respiratory tract of any debris. However, swelling of the sinuses interferes with the normal flow of mucus; when the mucus becomes trapped in the sinuses it may cause excruciating pressure in the nasal passages. This blockage and swelling also fosters an excellent environment for the growth of infection-causing bacteria and fungus. In 1999, a medical study at the ENT University Hospital in Graz, Austria provided evidence that chronic sinus problems (also known as chronic rhinosinusitis) can be caused by an immune reaction to fungi in the nose. The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota later confirmed the study. Fungus and mold spores present in the air are breathed in constantly. Many people can be highly sensitive to these fungi, due to individual genetic compositions and environmental factors. This study reiterated a long- held belief by many practitioners in the alternative health community: that a yeast-related fungus known as Candida, may cause or contribute to a variety of health problems, including sinusitis. Until the publication of the study, medical doctors often downplayed this idea. Many individuals suffering from Candida-related chronic sinus problems become discouraged with the success rate of modern medical treatments. This is due to the fact that frequently prescribed treatments such as antibiotics, anti-histamines, nasal steroid sprays and systemic steroids, may not completely cure chronic sinusitis because they primarily target bacteria and not the fungus. Holistic healthcare practitioners have developed a number of alternative or supplementary therapies to aid in the treatment of sinusitis: 1. Irrigation of the sinuses with a salt-water or goldenseal solution may clear the nasal passages of mucus. 2. Contrast hydrotherapy (hot and cold compresses, alternating 3 minutes hot, 30 seconds cold, repeated 3 times always ending with cold) applied directly over the sinuses can relieve pressure and enhance healing. 3. A direct inhalation of essential oil vapors (2 drops of oil to 2 cups of water) using thyme, rosemary, and lavender can help open the sinuses and kill bacteria that cause infection. 4. Acupuncture can also be a very effective treatment. 5. Internally, holistic healthcare practitioners recommend Vitamins A, C, and E, and the mineral zinc. | Hi Kritters & Co.!: A holistic told me that I had a candida issue, about 1 year into my Morgellon's battle. He blamed the birth control pill - I 86'd them to try to kick Morgellon's. I HATE Big Pharma after what I've learned, so it was fun, anyway...I have heard of the Morgie/Candida connection from a friend who works in a health food store. My last marks/lesions are healing and vanishing, so I dunno if there's gonna be room if any yeastey loaves of bread are supposed to ooze out of us, too ![]() If so, let's hope it's banana bread, YUM - Just Kidding!!! |

Hey Enviro girl~ It's a bird...It's a plane....it's ENVIRO GIRL! ![]() I'm curious about the friend who works in a health food store knowing A- about Morgellons and B-that there is a candida connection! I myself am just figuring out that there might be and I haven't read it anywhere yet that it's definite. If you see her again will you ask how she knows that? Thanks for participating in the poll! Another heavy metal music fan! ![]() Kritts

No problem, thanks for making us a Cool Poll! I wondered how you knew about the Candida, you sound like a pro! I thought it was something everyone else already knew - I didn't ever put much stock in it, I focused on agrobacterium as a cause right away, but I'd guess Candida as one of many contributing factors. (once you have Morgellon's, you contract/retain anything else that comes down the pike - hence victims similar, yet differing symptoms - what else you have with IT depends on your region/what else you put in your bod, I pers. say tap water...prolly chem trails, too, it sounds like) Good Job, I think you are on to something, you GO!...We get rid of the other CRAP we have stuck in us and kill the MORG at the same time, we heal even faster ![]() A/B Nutri-Friend - A fellow Morgie victim here in Pittsburgh, this all turned her into a nutritionist/big cleanse fan, why she started working at the store - she's a warrior whose ex-husband won custody of her kids cuz she refused to vaccinate/they told her DOP...she later helped another Morgie victim here in town that was institutionalized due to DOP misdiagnosis. I told her what that holistic said and she gave me more info. than that on the many evils of Candida. Confirmed about the birth control pill, too. Keep up the great work - I'm so proud of how we are getting each other through this - THANK YOU!!!

Hey E-girl, A really nice and positive post, thank you! Your friend sounds like one of us! I am astounded she lost custody because of refusal to vaccinate her kids. Like the mother who wouldn't allow chemo-therapy for her son. This is unconstitutional. They are forcing things into our children that will surely hurt them and we are powerless to protect them. This is why this and other forums and websites like the Health Ranger's and Dr. Rima Laibow and Dr Mercola are so important. Big pharma and Monstersanto are threatening them and trying to discredit them daily but we will all prevail. BTW there are exemptions for getting vaccines, but I guess your friend already knows this. My heart goes out to her. Very glad you're here, E-girl! Kritts
