| Hi all, I am putting this under 'theories and specs' because I don't know where else to put it. I didn't want to continue with any of the previous candida threads, but will post it there. It is a theory specific to me because I think it is somehow connected to me personally. I started researching cutaneous lesions>abdominal>....and found many links to information about cutaneous abdominal lesions and CANDIDA. Turns out, this thing called 'disseminated candidiasis' is pretty serious and I'm afraid that's what I have. If you remember, my stomach is huge for no reason (never EVER had even a SMALL one) and I have been getting the little red dots and now some lesions in a lateral line. I've suspected that candida is more involved in me than any doctor seems to worry about, and now I know what to tell them to test for. Here's some info on it: CANDIDA Cutaneous Candidiasis Syndromes INTERTRIGO Intertrigo - Yeast Infection in Skin Folds GRAPESEED EXTRACT (GSE) against decimated candida Elsevier: Article Locator Abstract Disseminated candidiasis is the most common fungal infection occurring in patients with hematologic malignancies. Unless rapidly diagnosed and treated, it is usually fatal. The signs and symptoms of disseminated candidiasis are nonspecific but sometimes include a skin eruption of papulonodules with pale centers. Biopsy or culture of skin lesions does not usually allow prompt diagnosis. We describe two patients with leukemia with disseminated candidiasis in whom the diagnosis was rapidly made by a potassium hydroxide preparation and a Gram's stain of a touch preparation of the punch biopsy specimen. And now….enter BIG PHARMA Pharmaceutical compositions and methods to vaccinate against disseminated candidiasis - Patent 7067138 Candidiasis (Invasive): Fungi: Merck Manual Professional ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seems a vaccine is now available for this very thing. Seems there's been such an increase in DC it needs to have a vaccine. Seems no doctor I'VE ever spoken to even CONSIDERS candida to be serious. SEEMS they didn't get the memo. This may be a precursor, an immune system compromisor, whatever in my case, but I'm starting MMS tomorrow, sick or not. Kritts Last edited by Kritters; January 18th, 2010 at 09:08 AM. | You should probably take that to the doctor first. It says it should be treated rapidly. I wonder if their candida tests are any better that their parasite tests? I read recently that threadworms like the abdominal area and will leave leasions. They make it big too. I can't find the artical again, and it's not mentioned in any others I've read. Threadworms are apart of this for me. |

| thanks, Bee... I'm going to begin MMS tomorrow. Then make an appt. and show my doc this information. I don't have thread worms. I have just had a complete over-all and was told in addition to Lyme, ehrlichiosis, SEVERE CANDIDIASIS OVERLOAD, severe mercury and iron overload, & hypo-thyroidism. I don't think they realize just how serious candida is. I'll post back in the future regarding what I find. Kritts |

| When I originally started this thread, I spelled the word 'disseminated' incorrectly and when I changed the post (and thought the title) everything changed except the title. Could someone at the wheel here please correct the spelling? Carla? thanks! Kritts |

| Kritts.. don't panic! I have a bad candida problem, but it was a lot worse 9 months ago. The bad thing is that many doctors do not believe anyone who is walking and talking could possibly have a 'disseminated' candida problem. Also, I don't think alot of tests are reliable either. My candida was so bad that I couldn't even drink a sip of lemon water without feeling candida die-off. It was pretty horrible. I actually don't know how I survived... seriously... I'm fairly certain it was in my kidneys... I had pain there and threads of candida showed up in my urine. Anyway.. I survived. I still have it.. but it's much more manageable now. Are you strictly doing an anti-candida diet? If not, I would start there... There are also alot of herbs that work well besides GSE (GSE is good though). I had a great deal of success on Pau D'Arco. When I started taking that, I kicked out huge amounts of candida from my body. Also, have you tried any colonics? This is really a good thing to do if you have candida. If you are doing any kind of candida cleanse, you really need to move out the dead yeast so you don't give the live yeast more to feed on. When I did colonics, I was absolutely amazed at the amount of yeast that was dispelled out of me! Unfortunately, my first colonic made me really sick, because it stirred up so many toxins, but it was definitely worth doing and I just started feeling better and better after each one. Also, I've read that metals and candida go hand-in-hand. It will be difficult to get fully rid of the candida problem until you chelate the metal. I know that metal is a problem with me, and believe it caused a lot of my candida issues. I found that the candida forum on Alternative Medicine Forums, Blogs & FAQs on CureZone.com helped me greatly. Hope this helps! |

| GIGI & HURTIN~ You're the bestest. thanks so much for the info. You know, I knew I had it and kinda knew it was not a good thing, and came to know it is more involved than known, and now know I have major systemic to the point it's in my ...everything. Everything is sensitive to the touch and I keep getting sharp pains where they don't belong. I wuz looking for the quick fix, but I realize my life depends on strengthening my mind and spirit and sticking to the Candida diet. Thing is, my only fungus feeder is red wine, but alas....I'll leave it out side for the wine gods as an offering to cure Morgellons. Other than that, I never eat or drink sugar of any kind. I'm finally scared straight. And that's a good thing. If nothing else, I'll be thin in my casket (sick, I know) xoxoKritts p.s. they really should figure out how to distinguish between grapefruit seed extract and grape seed extract with the "GSE" connotation, don't ya think? thanks again.... |

| oops.. I didn't see that GSE stood for grape seed extract! I've only used grapeFRUIT seed extract... so no experience here with the grape seed thing! I've been guilty lately of eating things not on the anti-candida diet, so I pay for it with skin itching.. I have been on occasion drinking a glass of red wine.. the resveratrol in it, is strangely, antifungal! One night I binged on red wine and at the time was having what I felt was a UTI .. I was sure what I had was related to fungus or candida and not bacteria... I woke up with no more UTI feeling! Quote:

| UTI ??? Understanding of This Illness??? Unexplainable Thoughts and Intuition? ![]() I don't thing the reservatrol (anti-fungal? really?) benefits outweigh the fermentation, unfortunately. If so, I wouldn't be in this mess ;-) Kritts |
