Species Identification of Candida Isolates Obtained from Oral lesions of Hospitalized and Non Hospitalized Patients with Oral Candidiasis, EDOJ2(1): Candida albicans and non-albicans spp. are closely related but differ from each other with respect to epidemiology, virulence characteristics, and antifungal susceptibility. All candida spp. have been shown to cause a similar spectrum of disease ranging from oral thrush to invasive disease, yet differences in disease severity and susceptibility to different antifungal agents have been reported[9]. Factors which predispose the compromised host to oral candidiasis are poorly characterized. Disease in this population represents a difficult management problem, may spread locally to involve the oropharynx and oesophagus, and is known to precede systemic infection[1],[5], [6]. Candidal oesophagitis frequently occurs in AIDS and HIV infected patients, disseminated infection however, is not as common in these patients as it is in other immunosuppressed patients[10]. Evidence suggests that some species of candida have a great propensity to cause systemic, nosocomial, and superficial infections than do other species[3]. Either way, it isn't pretty. Here's what I'm thinking. This article specifically mentions how common candida infections are in hospital patients. I'm thinking that Candida is everywhere, but now in a pathogenic form, and easily inhaled from the air from air-conditioning, heat, (and I already posted that there is an airborne strain previously unknown or unrecognized). Is it a bio-engineered form? Who knows. Is a MRSA strain involved? Is it implicated in MRSA itself? Who knows. Could these oral lesions be the cause of some of us having our teeth break off for no reason? I think so, but...who knows. I think this Candida is implicated in our old plumbing mold and is also in our soil and water. There is also an association between fungi and the sponge. My thoughts on this and $3.50 at Starbucks will get you a cappucino. Kritts Last edited by Kritters; January 18th, 2010 at 10:08 AM.

Wow, Kat! that about sums it up for me! Thanks for that info!!! Yep. Just like Lyme, the fact that cancers can be cured by many naturopathic substances, esp. baking soda, and suppressed information so that the fat cats can stay fat off our diseases. And acidosis because of the pH imbalance that allows disease to take hold. So, what do you put in the air to make people sick and dependent on drugs and vaccines? Candida albicans. Pretty sad that people have to research on their own to cure themselves. Awesome. Thanks!!! ![]() Kritts

Kat, just to get back to what you posted again, I'd love to see that German site (I can probably have google translate?) Is Dr. Simoncini mentioned in it? You know from previous postings that he says also that Cancer is a fungus (Cancer is a fungus - the book by Dr. T. Simoncini) and candida specifically. I just came across this website where this woman offers an incredible amount of information regarding candida and it's causes and remedies. Intestinal Health Institute I'm going to print it out to have as a resource of info. Kritts

yep Kat...it's Dr Simoncini. So, basically, people don't have to go to the trouble and expense of having a blood/urine test for candida. They just have to spit in a glass. What could be an easier thing to do to find out if your life is in danger? Kritts

Hi Kritters, I am new to the Forum - and slowly finding my way round (hopefully). Thank you for so many interesting articles, all of which I have been reading with interest. So nice to have people around who can help us through the dark days. I am sure the Candida was the start of my troubles. (Excess of antibiotics) I had been fighting it for years and really stuck to the diet. I agree it is more serious than we thought. Other things I feel come into the equation, such as lifes challenges stresses and traumas, - which weakens the immune system. Then we are a target for Morgellons and similar. I have had Ms for nearly 2 years, and have tried so many things. Have bad days and better days. I take Oxylift, Oregano Candyclear and GSE to try and eradicate the toxin and fungus problem, and wondered if you could recommend anything that would be more effective. Of course I take a host of other vits and supplements to build up the immune system. Thanks for any help you can give. How are you coping with this, do you feel hopeful that you will be free again. I do hope you are keeping as well as can be expected. Take care of yourself, Cayly

Hi Cayly, Thanks for your very nice post. sounds like you're on top of this candida enigma as much as you can be. I'm just now really getting into it and it looks like there are so many things that will help it. I'd hate for people to have to spend a lot of money on different remedies (including myself) when one of them might really do the trick. But you're absolutely correct in saying stress contributes. It contributes by creating a more acidic environment and letting the critters take over. Also the cortisol that's released from stress is a hormone and from what I've read can be a serious risk to good health in itself. It's why coffee is a no-no and green tea is the cup of choice (for SO many reasons). I just posted to Paddle on the other thread..CANCER THERAPY~Dr. Simoncini~ Rome The more I learn, the more I find amazing information and realize there is so much MORE to learn. Glad you're here and I know we will prevail! Kritters

I'm bringing this to the forefront again so people who haven't seen it will read it and hopefully take the candida poll on my other thread. Even if it has nothing to do with Morgellons, It is so common, over-looked and potentially lethal, I just think it's important for everyone here to read about. Kritts
