| I don't know how to express how BIG this discovery is in terms of Morgellons' sufferers. The answers are out there. It just hasn't all been put together yet. I am getting a fuller picture of what's going on and I am looking for someone with microbiology testing skills who can help do a specific test on the wounds of Morgellons' patients. What we are looking for is a NEWLY EMERGING BACTERIA called PHOTORHABDUS ASYMBIOTICA in the wounds of the lesions. This bacteria has been found across the globe and doctors are really scratching their heads (lol) at why and how this INSECT ONLY BACTERIA HAS JUMPED IN THE HUMAN SPECIES! Let me say this again: This invertebrate-only symbiant bacteria has now been found in humans. This bacteria has only been known to occur previously in nematodes. So....we have the bacteria in us that has only been known to exist previously as a symbiant (necessary for both to exist together) in nematodes. The only nematode this bacteria occurs in is heterorhabditis. This bacteria is luminescent. This bacteria is highly toxic and a cousin of the bacteria that caused the plague. | Are you talking about Yersinia pestis???? As a cousin I mean?? Genome sequence of Yersinia pestis, the causative ... [Nature. 2001] - PubMed result Last edited by hurtin1; December 12th, 2009 at 11:09 AM. Reason: add |

Genes encoding homologues of insecticidal toxins from Photorhabdus spp occur naturally within the genome of Yersinia pestis, the cause of plague. Lateral transfer of genetic material between Photorhabdus and Yersinia species is thought to have resulted from their common association with insects as bacterial pathogens (5). (from CDC, Emerging Infectious Diseases) Also, Yersinia pestis, the cause of plague, contains insecticidal toxins, which may have been laterally transferred from the insect pathogen Photorhabdus luminescens (4). (from CDC, Nematode Symbiant of P.luminescens) sar Last edited by sarothra; December 12th, 2009 at 02:28 PM. |

| Old post which contains links to earlier discussions of Photorhabdus (some made by Dr. Beverly who currently is not posting): Cryptostrongylus Pulmoni - A new kind of Nematode (permalink 76)
