Posey..come on! You are self imposing those fifteen feet out of fear! I too am terribly afraid of infecting my family and I have a child at home. You need to pick your arse up and get moving girl. I am totally OCD about my life as well but I do not allow this f'in disease to own me . I am moving forward, I keep fighting, my husband's life sucks too. I cannot allow my self pity to ruin their lives, for all we have learned. Others are more important than this sci fi nightmare that we live.
Get your butt up and move. Cleaning is a nightmare, laundry is a nightmare but you have got to keep going. Your family did not ask for this either but you have the power to change how it affects them.
Things will only improve when you decide to regain some control over your future. No one is going to sweep in and make this better, we are screwed.
Having said that, take small steps and move. Get out of your head and into your hubby's. Yes this sucks, but how can I help to alleviate his pain?

Hey Lamb, so glad you got your stuff together!!

That is what I was saying, that I know it is not just about me. I'm not the only one affected in my scope of life and I feel worse for them than myself.

However, with all the unknowns, I can't expose myself to my neice who has a baby 1 mo. old on Thanksgiving. As well, I'm sure Mom's system isn't all back to normal either. Therefore I do not feel comfortable going to family get togetherssuch as Thanksgiving. I can't have people stay overnight either because house is infected.

I feel until something is known for sure, I have to be on the safe side for them. This is gross but I have too much crap that comes off of me. How can I go to someone's home and leave fibers and powder, and God knows what else behind.

I appreciate the nudge you are giving me. I take this constructively and don't get upset. We are all here to try and help one another and I thank you.

You can be creative and stay away from those that you fear infecting...drop something, go to the ladies room... "oh I don't dare hold the baby, I woke up with the sniffles" Carry a kleenex, you are being checked for lyme,psoriasis whatever. We can't change the universe but we can let our circumstances kill our will to live. I dare not have company either and I always have in the past.
I get it girl, but I love my family and the lack of contact is killing me.
Do you have pets by any chance?

I just saw a new Vet today and I am hopeful that some issues can come to a close.
There is a cat mite (which can infect dogs, humans, rabbit, guinea pigs etc.)

Good ideas Lamb, but I have been open from the beginning with my whole family. They all know and are supportive. I know I am very blessed in this way.

All situations are different as are all people, i.e. relatives, in-laws. In my case, I knew I had to tell them. The hardest part was disappointing my husband at Christmas time, but he is a strong Christian and takes hardships in life well. That is, after the initial blow. He learns to accept things. That doesn't mean he likes it but he knows as I do that we are not of this world but look forward to God's Kingdom.

This is also my strongest and only way of truly dealing with it, and prayer. I know I'm truly not alone and I also know I will not have this when Christ returns and sets up His Kingdom after the Rapture, 7 year antichrist and the Great Tribulation. I don't know why this has happened to any of us but I trust my Savior.

However, I am a human being and I do have lots of faults, weaknesses, lack of will power (smoking), and I do get my down periods and high anxiety at times. Yesterday I felt pretty good and was really cleaning around here, and just as quick as the snapping of fingers, I began to feel disgusting about myself again.
