Glad to here you're feeling better...were you prescribed an antifungal? Did your mold test test positive? Did your Dr. test for any specific mold, fungus, or yeast?

We had the rain head style before what did you have?

I started to wonder about how long they would drip after turning off. We have mold in other areas though so this is not our only battle. I was washing clothes in a moldy washer that I followed their tub clean directions regularly. Started to find white mold on clothes that were cleaned just days before.

I am happy for anyone that starts to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Problem in one area of home can cause problems in many later. That is why the mold experts say don't move your mold stuff with you and if not moving because you own the nightmare don't keep what can't be remediated. If possible burn it!

mmarsha way to go girl! I just recently did the same thing and I will be headed to my doctor with the results. Took almost a month total but well worth it. Funny the crawling sensation stops on my face when I clean it with Ethyl alcohol one of the things that kills mold at least temporarily the scalp is another thing I believe it will take fungal medication. When I get the crawly's mine comes off green just like my lab report came back two types of mold that I took samples from my own scalp. These also had white to clear in them as a lot of common molds are multi colored. Wait what was that? Ya exactly! No one is going to tell me I am crazy anymore.

If it had not been the mighty hand of God I believe I would of done it, as at that time I felt completely hopeless and helpless and to give credit where credit is due this site and the people on it have helped me greatly. And yes, even you and some of your older post and if you'll go back and read those you will see how different you sound now. You should decide in your mind that you are going to live everyday to the best of your ability's that for one day you are going to be positive about everything in your surrounding and everything you come in contact with. There is power in positive thinking and forget what i said about not posting I will post what my doctor thinks about the mold growing from the samples off my skin when I get back. It has an incredible amount to do with it. At least one of the two molds found from my samples can cause this. I do not take any of this lightly and I am very worried by the time I get the most important people in my life to realize it the damage will be done. This is not just about me this about the well being of my husband and children and the long term effects this could have. I deplore anyone that puts propaganda on the internet calling exposure to mold sensationalism these very post are what have caused my most important person's in my life not to take me serious.

I hope you have a full recovery M Marsha! What type of doctor did you go to?

cynical.. we didn't have the rain-style heads.. but I have those in other places of the house (we don't use those often).. I never connected this to mold until I used my husband's showerhead, that had a whole lot more in it. My skin rashed up terribly and I got worse with the black specks not long afterwards. Cleaning out these showerheads.. and mold just poured out of them. We did replace them soon after.. it only took a few days before the mold started regrowing in them. I am fortunate, and don't believe I have a mold problem elsewhere in the house... Of course, my skin is getting much better now that I am not showering in MOLD!

A really good way to tend to shower heads(because they retain a little water),,,is soak for a while in vinager(I use a big enough jar to dunk completely,,and is good for many cleanings),,,then rinse all the calcium off,,then do exactly the same with a jar(same size) of bleach..I just keep the head hand tight.. 2 jars,,vinager,,bleach..
You can use the jar of bleach to immerse the head with the head still attached also...

Getting mold on your skin at this point surelly cant be good..fuel to the fire..

Besides what hurtin mentioned, good tip btw...is let the hot water run for a few minutes before taking showers or bath..helps rinse 'em (bacteria, fungus) out!

Yes, I agree that hurtin made a good point about water being left in the shower heads and running hot water for a while first makes sense also! I think we should all get water filters for the shower heads AT LEAST. Isn't it amazing how quickly the fungus invades everything when just a little moisture is present?

I would not doubt if most of the people that think they have this mysterious morgellons really might have one of the ones MM listed. Who is the real problem on this board I think we all have a pretty good idea.

Why is someone so worried about others learning information that may pertain to them? Really strange if you ask me. Makes you kind of wonder about their motive. Funny how someone accuses others of attacking them when they were the ones that did the original attacking. The name of the thread was obvious if this person did not think it applied to their situation maybe they should have just left well enough alone and moved on to a topic that did pertain to them. This is exactly what our water district recommends if you have a sensitivity to the allowable coliforms in the water. Good advice Kat! I try to do this every time.
