| I keep my feather pillows in three hypoallergenic pillow cases. After removing pillow case I noticed feathers were still coming out and though the cases. I decided to remove and wash. What a nightmare, I only removed outer case of husbands pillow and saw white long fibers and cob webs like you find in a nut shell that is infested with bugs. There were black dots like specks the size of salt everywhere. I have about six bed pillows that are made of different products. Out of three feather pillows only one was infected and was bought about four years ago from bed bath and beyond. I have a foam sleep memory pillow and it's cover had to be thrown away after washing it with borax, it is covered in lint and debris. I have found that some of my wash clothes have something stuck in them and after soaking in bleach all day are still alive. My husband came home and I showed him one of the clothes I had not thrown away yet. He said those are bugs and it is still alive. When I would put the expensive cotton pillow cases on he would complain they were scratchy and made him itch. He preferred the flannel pillow cases. He does not have the bites or sores on his skin like I do. Last week I think he was humoring me with all the cleaning, this week he is doing all he can to help get everything cleaned and removed that is not needed. It seems that certain types of material attract or trap the bugs and cannot be removed from the cloth, at least not easily. I sprayed my memory foam pillow with peroxide and salt and it looks okay but I am still afraid to use. Has anyone else had any experiences like this? Were you able to resolve? I have been doing the treatment plan for almost a week now with good results and my legs seem to be healing. This is tiring. Michelle |

| Michelle, I'm so glad you brought this up! I was just thinking about this the other day. Before I got Morgellons in August, I decided to treat myself to 400-thread count sheets. Once the Morgellons started, I was washing my sheets every day and noticed these creatures LOVED the high-thread count sheets (after washing they were still covered with worm-like fibers and linty things) while my cheaper sheets came out of the wash clean. I stopped using the expensive sheets and sealed them away in vacuum bags (I'm going to toss them). Has anyone else experienced this -- and can you suggest the best kind of sheets to buy? Thanks! | I'm seriously considering buying a nylon sleeping bag and not use any pillow at all. I think someone else on this forum does this too. I mentioned this to my hubby, and he wasn't amused. I was thinking I could keep the chihuahuas out of my immediate sleeping space if I used a bag. Not using a pillow would eliminate other problems as well. Just some thoughts I know I can share here!

| Linny I use a nylon sleeping bag.I can`t sleep in a bed with duvet and pillows. It`s cheap and nasty but it`s better than scratching allnight. Also it dries in no time so I can wash it more often. |

| Is there anywhere you can still buy cotton/poly blend sheets? I've been using some old, old sheets of my mom's and they clean up so easily. But now it seems all sheets are 100% cotton. Also, got a GREAT tip from ms. redibooks a while back -- she sprinkles DE over the plastic mattress cover/under the sheets. I do this now too, plus a nightly light dusting on top and bottom sheet, inside pillow case (and sometimes a light dusting outside). It really helps! And I've forgone my cotton blankets if favor of a polyester blend which I pop into the wash every few days. It cleans up very well. |

| Well, bubba, this is more like a million-dollar post than $.02. Thanks!

| Thanks Bubba!!! Yet another chapter for your book: secret sources! Speaking of which ... Franky, Bubba & crew -- wondering if we should set up a new thread along the lines of "The Morgellons Home: products for EZ living" ? (Just a thought...) |

| Franky, Linney Sue brings up an excellent point -- is maintaining the tech side of this site wearing you out? Maybe we could each kick in a few bucks and you could hire out the site maintenance chores? (Pls. pardon my ignorance -- I'm a total techphobe and have no idea what this involves ...) |
