Evidence pointing towards immune system hyper-activity

So, latest Morgie happenings: The continuous ebb and flow, inching towards victory has been the rule until lately. A week or two ago, I got infected. Well, I got some virus - gave me that funny taste in my mouth, hacking up snot, etc. Just my luck, I acquired a staph infection on my chin - golf ball of puss and other nastiness. Kinda made me look like a Hapsburg (for all you history buffs). So, obviously, the immune system was working overtime. Strangely, instead of thriving, my sores have begun rapidly healing and no new sites have emerged?

At present, the cold/virus or whatever is mostly cleared up. I get occasional hints of the taste and my sinuses are a little overactive. The chin infection has reduced to 3 overlapping marbles. My arms look like a negative of the night sky over a mid sized city - with tiny stars being the tiny scabs of nearly healed sores. Maybe 3 or 4 nearly healed spots on either leg, and 1 remaining spot on my face. My chest is clear and my belly has 7 small receding scabs. It's not so much the number (i've always had plenty of sores to go around) of sores, but that none are 'active' and they are all so small. Just little dots!

So what? I've been able to identify only two concurrent events which may have cause this rapid and pervasive reversal. I've been colon cleansing with a powder product for roughly 4 months (a week or two btwn months), and immediately preceding my Morgie gains, I had some "very significant gains" in my cleansing (saw god once or twice, dropped an inch or two round the waist). So, it's possible that my toxicity levels dropped significantly (the stuff was Nasty!) freeing up immune resources... The other possibility is that the simultaneous and sizable infections consumed a good portion of my immune system's resources. This demand thereby reduced my system's ability to over-react to the Morg disturbances - limiting it's response to a beneficial level (as it should be). Once my two add-on infections are all healed, if the Morgs starts reemerging, then this second possibility will demand some serious testing.

Hi Verbal!! Welcome back.

Its tricky to know what happened there hey. The immune system working over time is a factor - and there must be also be a limit to what it can handle all at once.

I havent had a cold in a very long time and would see it as a good sign if I got one (although I dont want one). I read somewhere that its normal to have 2 or 3 colds a year. Not for this muppet.

Anyone else find this?

Hi Verbal and welcome back. I can see where you would use the moniker 'verbal' since you use words nicely.

Sounds like you've got it down and also the understanding of your system. IMO you're probably 100% correct.

I'm almost afraid to ask, but......you "saw God once or twice" ?

Dont know when I last had a cold its so long ago.Probably not enough room in nose with all the morgs there first.

I read a few alternative health letters written by doctors who practice holistically. The majority (all) seem to feel that the yearly flu shot offers little to no protection. It is pretty impossible task set for those who try to predict which strain(s) of flu will be most prevalent the following flu season. So it is rather like a gamble by pharmaceutical companies who make the flu shots from the viruses they think will spread disease next flu season. Then they hope that they will prove to be effective, because they have guessed correctly. If they have guessed incorrectly the flu shot is not effective against that year's flu epidemic.

On the conventional side I have read that getting a flu shot may help reactivate the immune system of those who are more elderly. Sounds more like a sales pitch though to the elderly. Hmm, wonder what it does to the very young immune system then? Some claim flu shots harm the immune system of young children. Then there is the mercury and some say aluminum that vaccines may contain. Some discussions of vaccines, for and against.

I spoke to a fellow Morgie a few months ago who insists she came down with this horror in 2002 immediately following a flu vaccine. She is convinced that it is responsibly.
Didn't the FDA find a ton of vaccines to be contaminated and had "fibers" on them? I'd have to dig that one out, but I think I can find that link...

I haven't had a cold in years, can't remember the last one.

I'd say "no" the the flu vaccination and my daughter won't be getting anymore vaccinations either. She's only 10 and when there are mandatory vaccinations required for her to attend public school, the doctor will have to explain every ingredient in that vaccination and what/why it is in that shot before I will allow her to get it. Scary ingredients in those vaccinations.

I believe our immune systems are working very well and thats why we are sick in that our bodies recognizes the Morgellons as being foreign...
