Default Skin mites/Demodex/etc.

Some of my symptoms of Morgellons seem to be composed of symptoms related to mites.

Early morning skin itching , especially facial itching at 4AM, that occurs every 2 weeks to 4 weeks (full moon schedule) appears to be a demodex (follicle) mite symptom.

I also think my skin is putting out pheromones that attract mites from the environment.

Hi Virginia (& Welcome!!!)

You wrote: "I also think my skin is putting out pheromones that attract mites from the environment."

Have you tried bug arrest? You can spray it on you, your clothing, your pets, furniture, inside of your vehicle, sheets, blankets, ...

Pheromones yes! All kinds of bugs, including mites.

In the white light,

Virginia,

I have the same thing and suspect mites as well. My eyebrows and my hair itch like mad.

Hello peeps,

Funny how its always worst at night hey. I had a relapse of itchy scalp this week - couldnt sleep good because of it. THEN, last night I put geranium and teatree oil in my hair serum and massaged it into my scalp before bed......HEY PRESTO, slept like a baby.

I find its worse around the moon cycle and my other monthly cycle too. This would make sense with the increase in pheromones around this time hey.

Anyone fancy scoping their eyelash, eyebrow, any hair to see if anythings there?? Kritts, I know your scope is more powerful than mine.....fancy taking a lookie for your old pal?

awww, hey my good ol' buddie ol' pal! I sent the scope back because the camera sucked. The pictures were blurry and they didn't know why. they said, "we are looking at the same scope/cam combo and don't have a problem.....are you focusing slowly, using the right lighting, etc?" Um, you mean like when the electrician asks if I tried changing the lightbulb when the outside lights don't go on? Or checking the fusebox? duhh.So when I get my money returned I'm getting another Damn, I really liked the scope though.

I do know that I put a hair under the scope months ago that I captured in my washcloth after washing down yonder and it was definitely NOT a hair.

Anywho, Joey..when I get another I will definitely pluck an eyelash for ya. (Even if, at age 60 we don't seem to have as many as when we were 20....STILL LOOKIN' GOOD THOUGH ;-))

XOXO

I have read that in HIV infections, the follicle mites increase. So, I am thinking with my Lyme, lowered immune system, the mites are raging, too.

I get worse in the spring and around full moon also.
I think geranium oil is also good as a tick repellant. Mites and ticks are the same type of bug, arachnids.

I am wondering if the mites interact with the bacteria and fungal spores somehow. Also with the Lyme bacteria.

Since I have read demodex mites only come out in the dark, mine start itching about 4AM, I decided to treat them without turning on the lights. I rub on the alcohol hand cleaners and that seems to stop them.

Hi Virginia n all

Just seen this new article about a woman afflicted with bird mites:
L.I. Woman Afflicted With Bird Mites Quarantined - News Story - WNBC | New York

At a Lyme conference, they mentioned that sufferers have reduced oxygen levels in their blood (and therefore increased CO2). The guys that make Opaline Dry Oxy told me that bird mites are attracted to people with increased CO2 levels. This sites mentions it also:

http://birdmites.org/

Increasing our oxygen levels is something we can all do, whether that means deep breathing and exercise or supplements or all 3.

Especially for people with Lyme, Morgellons and/or mites.

Has anyone identified any mites on them? (apart from Aloha)

This British Writer thinks he has bird mites Jo. He says he's going to write a book about his ordeal. He not even got through the first chapter yet has he.
I wonder if he does any journalism.

Jo,Virginia, all....

I'm having another bout with the biting from inside the skin right around where I recently had two lesions which are slowly healing. But it's no co-incidence. And it happens at night usually but the other morning I wanted to take a torch to my arm it stung so badly. I tried everything. Finally alcohol worked.

Virginia wrote: "I am wondering if the mites interact with the bacteria and fungal spores somehow. Also with the Lyme bacteria."

According to what I've read recently, they do interact. In fact, they sometimes eat each other. Hey, who's particular amongst friends, hey? I just don't know at this point which eats which, which become which, but I intend to find out.

I think once someone breaks the code on the very basic interactions on parasites and how they can take over the human as host, we'll have something going on for us. I find it so amazing that isn't already the case.

So many pathogens, so little time.

Some of the early Morgellons documentation from France in the 1500s talked about "black-headed worms' emerging from the skin.
An old medical reference I read on the web documented 'black-headed worms' in the skin with some early microscope work around 1840.
Later medical references, late 1800s-early 1900s, seemed to identify the 'black-headed worms' as follicle mites.

I have had so many weird looking things emerge from my skin it is hard to sort it all out.
