Please bear with me, I have never tried to start a thread, and have no clue if this will work. I also do not know if this will be "old" news to any of you, but I wanted to share a link to a video on Monsanto and GMO's.
Last week I watched one on youtube that was broken up into several segments that lasted 4 hours all together. This one appears to be all in one video, and I looked at it for a few minutes, and it does start out the same as what I had seen. This is the link:

I'm interested to see that you are researching a specific angle, as well as you being a RN. Cool.

Just wondering - how do you think you became infected? (some people have a theory, some dont) and whether you've tested positive for Borrelia?

Thank you so much for the welcome. And to everyone else, I am sooooo sorry for this double post. I only found out a few minutes ago from someone else that this was already posted here. I should have done a search before I posted it. I'm still having trouble navigating around this site.
There is so much that I want to share, that I hardly know where to start. I joined this group in February I think. So far I have corresponded with 5 of you.
I've been doing exhaustive research since December when I first read about it online, and I'm trying to find ways that I can help.
I've read so much about so many different theories, and so many of them seem plausible, and I've even wondered if it could be possible that the cause is coming in from more than one source.
This is not just a local problem confined to the United States. It is global. I'm sure everyone here knows this.
I guess I've been living under a rock, because I'm ashamed to admit that I basically knew nothing about GMO's until last week when I stumbled on this video on the youtube.com web site. I was shocked and angered after watching 4 hours of that video. On youtube, it's in segments, and it took all of 4 hours to watch it. I kept thinking "I'll never get to bed" but I couldn't stop watching it.
I'm going to take some liberties here, and I hope you don't mind. Was everyone else as shocked as I was when I learned that:
1. GMO foods are not labelled as such
2. NON GMO foods by law can NOT label their foods as non GMO
3. There are a few organic foods that are GMO
4. Some non GMO crops are being cross pollinated, and ending up being GMO
5. Monsanto had the unmitigated gall to apply for a patent on pigs. So now any farmer found to be raising pigs that are found to have Monsanto's GMO in their DNA; those farmers are going to owe Monsanto a yearly royalty fee.
I was outraged. I read a lot of information on the effects that GMO's have on the human body. It's completely unfair to the general public that we have no choice in our own food selection at the grocery stores, and you can be sure that the Senators and Congressmen will get a 2nd letter from me later this week about this.
My research differs dramatically on statistics published on web sites. It is my opinion, and please note that I do not expect anyone to accept my statements as factual, but I put the number of individuals with Morgellons at possibly half a million. I also firmly believe that the condition is contagious.
I received a call yesterday from the CDC, and today I have corresponded with the AMA. Research coming out of England seems comparable to the CDC's stand on the issue. I was shocked by that. I had thought that they would be so much more forward thinking.
I think I'll stop here, before I find those black hawk helicopters hovering over my house.
I have not contracted Morgellons at this point in time. I have always dearly loved my patients, and gone the extra mile for them, and it is my anger at the response of the medical community to patients seeking help that has prompted my research. There must be something I can do to help.

Oh, thank you Carla ! I did see another very interesting one last night on youtube. It was on Monsanto and milk. About those 2 reporters that got fired.
I couldn't bear it if I had to open a thread for this, but I am still so lost on this web site. I have the hardest time finding the "home" page. I don't see a link for it anywhere. And for the life of me, I cannot find that shout box this morning. It seemed like it was on the top of every other page I looked at yesterday, and now I can't find it at all. <small scream>

Did you say Monsanto and milk!!!!!???? The first thing I changed in my diet was switching to organic milk!!! My doctor (a chiropractor) found I had a parasite found in milk (during my first visit in Jan '07).

"Everybody better wake up" Food is soooo involved. Getting the medical community to realize this and start prescribing healthy organic diets instead of pharmaceuticals would help Morgellons sufferers more than anything. Oh yeah, insurance doesn't cover homeopathic medicines so there's no money to be made off of them, not yet...better watch our backs. Let's keep the herbs, vitamins and minerals legal without the FDA taking control of them.

Blah, blah blah, I know I've said it before.

BTW, anyone have any idea if Monsanto is a contributor to research at Stonybrook?
