Re: Read This and Spread the word!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly No Man, this is the area that I have the least amount of facts to use when basing my opinion, like with everyone, the answer to this can only be an opinion. The most relavant data would be the geography of the registered morgellons sufferers. When the geographical locations of morgellons sufferers is compared to shipping ports around the world a very strong correlation can be derived. Ship ballast tanks are responsible for the spread of all kinds of marine life throughout the globe, fouling organisms like the sponges, bryozoans, and hydrozoans have been introduced to virtually every port in the world and I would venture to guess that a relatively strong correlation could also be made between the era in which shipping accelerated rapidly and the slow onset of illnesses such as this one. My best guess, well I have two angles and I can't say that I favor one over the other.
1. Changes in the gulf stream commencing in the 60's had worldwide effects, especially in the north sea, large quatities of sponges, bryozoans, and hydrozoans originated in the north sea. An event such as this could have had effects on these organisms, the time frame is right based on the data, there is no solid evidence to suggest that this illness was around prior to the 60's. If the assumption is made that this illness did not exist more than 50 years ago then I say the vector is water and/or other organisms living in that water. Of course this does not account for 100% of cases, so I am then forced to conclude that either those remaining cases are inaccuratly diagnosed, the data is being incorrectly reported, or human to human transmission is possible.
2. The sponge was here when we arrived, at first opportunity it invades primative man then integrates with our DNA, explaing the factual connection between it's DNA and ours. centuries pass as it is carried through reproduction generation to generation, possibly not as a parasite/host relationship but rather a symbiont one, no one notices. then the industrial revolution comes around and everything changes, the parasite is irritated or fueled by the manmade chemicals and can no longer hide it's presence.
