Default full moon

Well, I guess the full moon theory is correct. My back has increased in intensity with the itchy pinpricks during the last few days. Annoying.

Stay away from silver. There are lots of studies on the psychological effects of the the full moon on people. Can you believe there are still people out there who still think we never went to the moon. There are also people believe that the first mission to the moon was faked and done in a movie studio.

My ex-husband is a firefighter/paramedic. I always remember them saying that when there was a full moon out, they were much busier. If you stop and think about it, the moon affects the tide in the ocean. Many farmers used to plant according to the moon phase. I don't think it is too far-fetched that it can affect our individual health.

That is funny that you should mention that, because I have been in a foul mood...very angry and bitter...so so so negative about all of this crap...the reason that I have not been posting actually, in a couple days...didn't want to mess up your cheerful and positive environment here with my pity party...

When I worked as an x-ray tech, we always dreaded when there was a full moon...just like Jano said...it was always packed...we used to say that it brought out the "crazies"....and I have always heard that crime goes up when there is a full moon...

Like I said, I wasn't going to post, because I am feeling so negative, but Carla talked me into it...she said that I should do it...I think that might be true...with Morgellon's or any disease, I know that you cannot be cheerful all the time...speaking for myself...after dealing with so much, you just end up reaching your limit, and especially when u are angry and bitter because your doctors don't believe you, which means you are on your own in your treatment, family and friends do not believe a word that you have told them, because they have not seen anything with their own eyes and even your best friend has betrayed u by keeping in contact with your family and discussing your "delusions"...It really hurts when you need support from family and friends, and they are not there for you...one day, the truth will be out, and I pray that it will set me free...

Here is a study I read long time ago and just found it again. Its not just humans but animals supposedly are effected by the full moon as well. Pretty interesting stuff.

This is a abstract from British Medical Journal. I cant remember what year it was, but it states the following.

Objective: To test the hypothesis that the incidence of animal bites increases at the time of a full moon.
Design: Retrospective observational analysis.
Setting: Accident and emergency department at a general hospital in an English city.
Subjects: 1621 consecutive patients, irrespective of age and sex.
Main outcome measures: Number of patients who attended an accident and emergency department during 1997 to 1999 after being bitten by an animal. The number of bites in each day was compared with the lunar phase in each month.
Results: The incidence of animal bites rose significantly at the time of a full moon. With the period of the full moon as the reference period, the incidence rate ratio of the bites for all other periods of the lunar cycle was significantly lower (P <0.001).
Conclusions: The full moon is associated with a significant increase in animal bites to humans.

Well, here it is, another full moon and my skin is definitely more annoying during this time. Also, I added Sarsaparilla to my list of herbs and supplements I take, so not sure if that has anything to do with it. I may just stop taking it for a few days to see how I feel.

Linney Sue, thanks for this! I was so despondent the last few days as all of a sudden it seemed like I was getting worse. Whew, it's the Full Moon. I'll try to remember this next month...
