Default Messing about with Mycoplasmas

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/200801...acc9995_1.html

And I quote "....Venter said the chromosome had been disabled so that it could not live outside the lab and so that it could not take over some other organism by mistake. The plan also underwent ethical review by a panel at the University of Pennsylvania."

Maybe we should have a chat with the panel at University of Pennsylvania to see what Hypothesis they would give to the possibility that this could have already happened to a Human Being with a chromosone that had'nt been turned off and the organism had been accidently/deliberately released??
