| Hi doc, I tested + for lymes even tho I have never been around the tic that spreads lymes. I live in New Mexico. So is the lymes "lymes" or does it just look like "lymes"? I did get two "wicked bad" spider bites on my stomach back in 2003 but never saw the spider. Hurt like hell! For lymes, my tbm dr. gave me liquid balsamea extract (lc found some good links, so do a search for that) and I also got lasar light therapy to my bones (marrow )to stimulate the mitochondrial growth making cells stronger. I know this is vague and sp? bad but i'm in hurry to go fix dinner. Good luck! glad you are here, despite the qualifying factor of having Morgellons .~jonsi

I tested + for lymes also and I tend to agree that I think morgs is a co-infection of lymes. I've been on antibiotics for most of last year and all my symptoms are mild. I'm also in New Mexico and I don't know about deer ticks, but I personally think lymes can probably be transmitted by other vectors. who else?? k

I tested negative for Lymes but have only been tested once. I'm not impressed with what is known for sure about Lymes to date, and it is reported that Lymes can be transmitted by other vectors besides ticks. Mice and other wildlife which catch it from each other and can come into contact with our pets or ourselves can transmit Lymes, according to info I have read. Kritters

I,ve read that deer & horse flys also carry the stuff (22%) along with spiders & mites. u have those in N.M.? also kritts did u have testing by IGENX. as im sure u know most tests are very unreliable. Redi did u have cronic lyme .& how long till u started improving. i assume ur morg is improving also? what antis are workin for u? thanks for ur input . MY wife has cr lyme (we think) and other coinfections. (dx fibrom in 2002 ) We just went to a llmd & are waiting for the results tho he made a clinical dx. i also have the syptoms but not near as bad as her so i havent had the testing as of yet. Hoping this is the right path (antis) . DR seems very caring & informed. Doc

I was originally tested in the UK (London) and it came out negative. Finally had a very positive result for Lyme, ehrlichia and anaplasma at the Igenix lab in San Francisco.... There are docs in the UK now that help you to send blood samples there for analysis.... It's terrible that there are so few places that are equipped to do a proper test. Milly x Also don't remember ever having a tick bite, but have had hundreds of mosquito and other insect bites over the years...

My symptoms seemed to start after being biten by a Cuban flea. I can't find any evidence that they can carry Lyme or that it can be passed from person to person. But many people infected with Lyme dont even know theyve been biten by a tick: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/hd/west...chure_pg_2.pdf Jason - You've mentioned before the good effects of samento. This pilot study, using natural remedies, had great results on reducing Lyme symptoms: http://www.samento.com.ec/sciencelib/medmain.html Milly - do you have any further details on the Uk docs that will do tests? Jo xx

Of course, on the insurance Lyme test, I tested clearly negative. Many people with Lyme have. Now on the Igenex (Lyme Literate Dr. sponsored lab) test, I did test a maybe for Lyme. It was not the classic Western blot presentation; something was going on. Also I did test positive for Monocyte Erlichiosis, EBV, and CMV. Do I think what they found was really Monocyte Erlichiosis? Probably not, but who knows. Do I think it points to something askew with my health. Oh yeah. ???

Ev, don't feel bad. Look up askew in health and you'll see a zillion of the same stuff. Our curse is that we have a brain and the unfortunate thing is that we are challenging the professionals who actually do not have a brain. It's okay, though. We will prevail. Kritts
