people see what they want to see unless their eyes are forced open by some circumstance or another. Before this affliction, I was a hard-line conservative who thought status and money were worthy goals in life; needless to say, I see the world quite differently these days. But the rest of the world, unfortunately for us, continues as usual.

Still can't believe I read "morgellons disease" specifically in that bill though - b*tchin'.

There are stereotypes for all kinds of diseases....take AIDS as a good example. Early on, when someone mentioned AIDS, the first group of that came to most people's minds was homosexual folks. As more and more research came out...it became pretty obvious that AIDS affected many heterosexual people as well.

As more information is made available about Morgellons, I am confident that the stereotypes placed on many Morgellons patients will be proven to be wrong as well.

Personally, I have never been accused of being a meth-head...yet.

I do not do Meth either. It is truly destructive to those who choose it. So, many of us like Bubba said, are breaking the "stereotype" here, (LC).

Ive denied being a druggy to a few dr.s who im sure didnt believe me. Because of my appearance probably.

But so what. That is irrelevant. Noone should feel responsible for catching an unknown disease

Hear hear. I agree with you Dave 100 percent. The ignorance and all is stifling. What we have is very real, even a 2 year old can see it. Yet, the beurocrats choose to ignore it. Psych meds are much cheaper and more lucrative for the fat cats, (LC).

What Bubba has stated here is very important and agree with her 100% The key here is as more and more info comes out, the difference should become more clear. It will take time though, just like AIDS did. Now even though I am all for drug abuse programs and trying to help out the addicted, we SHOULD not lump the two together!

For the people who don't know, the reason Meth and Morgellons is mentioned together is because Meth heads share some symptoms (creepy crawlies, biting ,seeing bugs etc..). This is why some people have compared the two. But the fact of the matter there is NO evidence linking them together.

My thoughts exactly Dave...since becoming sick and subject to the judgemental stares or verbal attacks I think twice when I start to judge anyone...in fact, I never judge now. like you put it, who am I to judge...we're all human and a little compassion can go a long way in helping others and it's too bad more people don't recognize this basic truth.

I don't do meth nor have ever, nor do I care who does any sort of drug. To each his own end of story.

their symptoms are the same thing and they report experiencing them years after the final exposure to drugs

these people are the biggest clue we have as to cause

not only should they be embraced, to a clear thinking scientist they could prove our saviours

associate the itchy show with immorality and we have less chance of getting research from the powers that be
