| http://sev.prnewswire.com/biotechnol...0102007-1.html A great book that I read called: "The biotech Century" by Jeremy Rifkin Back in the early 1990's, they brought the kissing bug from South America to Yale University to experiement and inject bacteria into the intestines/gut of the bug to try and render it unable to pass on the parasite. I don't know what happened to the bugs, it is called the kissing bug because it usually will bit a human on their face. |

| "While we have known that Chagas' disease was present in North America, the numbers of Chagas'-positive blood donations, as well as new reports of transmission of infection to persons from bugs, are surprising," said James H. Maguire, M.D., director, International Health Division, University of Maryland School of Medicine." From the above post (http://sev.prnewswire.com/biotechnol...0102007-1.html) Will someone explain to me why the official who reveals this problem is completely surprised by it, since the US and other countries do not seem to care about the health of people allowed into their countries. It seems this will only get worse and not better as more folks enter from regions with severe parasitic infections. This is why I no longer feel safe eating in restaurants (as this is where I ate the fish which led to morgellons). If you eat out, I would suggest taking along digestive enzymes to help the body digest parasites before they infect the body. Hopefully. best, tcm

| Great idea, TCM! Are digestive enzymes you speak of the same as Acidophilis, etc.? I'm getting my bugs confused. If so, when we're talking good vs bad bacteria, how do we really know which will be the stronger in each case? thanks, Kritts |

| No, Krits, talking about digestive enzymes most of which are based on mold (which I cannot use). I do have some enzymes I can use from Solaray which do not have mold in them. There's many digestive enzymes to be found in the health food store which can help digest (in the stomach) protein, fat, and carbohydrates and hopefully parasites. Different from acidophilus which is replacement of gut bacteria. best, tcm

| Wow, TC How can people ever be expected to keep up with all of this? No WONDER the M.D.s have a stronghold. After all.....THEY have LEGITIMATE DEGREES .....(humph) and the pharmaceutical industry makes money off them. But that aside, how interesting that digestive enzymes are mold based. Now this is something that just goes deeper and deeper, given that mold, fungus causes so many physical problems. So obviously there are GOOD molds as well as bad. Just as there good mushrooms as well as bad, so obviously there are good fungi as well as bad. Hmmmm. Verrry interesting. Kritts |

| Yeah, some molds may be good for some, just not for me (I have had gut reactions to mold based enzymes, very painful). Still may help prevent or lessen exposure to parasites. Especially important if one has type A blood, as when one gets parasites, they have a party due to lower stomach enzymes, something true of all blood types as we age (fewer digestive enzymes). Think that accudoc also mentioned using bile salts in that long thread we had a while back. Something I should look into, as I am sick of morgs parties. best, tcm

| here here! TCM Rather have more fun parties! No parasites/fungus/mold/bad bacteria allowed! I'm A+ and that has intrigued me about different blood types needing and repelling different substances/food. What's up with that anyway? You'd think blood is blood, huh? It's chemistry, but what is the indicative component? Is this and endocrine situation? So many questions......................So little time. Kritts |
