| Hey Guys, Does anyone here know what the CDC is trying to say on this hidden webpage? http://rarediseasesinfo.aspensys.com...fo.asp?ID=1945 I believe I possibly have a mutation to chromosome band 1q42-1a43. Anyone else? I know this because my sister's daughter has situs inversus complete. My sister sent me this link about 5 days ago and I didn't realize what it was until today. Check this out too: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...s+1q42&btnG=Se arch *NOTE The CDC changed the web page on 7/23/07. To view the original take the 2nd link ablove and view the Google cache of the web page or paste and copy this link: http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:UbNwKxxsHhsJ:rarediseasesinfo.aspen sys.com/asp/diseases/diseaseinfo.asp%3FID%3D% 25%20201945+morgellon's+1q42&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl =us Karen W |

| You're smart. Welcome to the boards. I'm not on too much, but I have no idea why they would discuss the 2 issues on one page unless they are finding a link. I really loved your ebay idea!! M

| MELISSAJ , Thanks but I'm not so smart as I am desperate. I have been herxing for 4 days and today is the worst. I get really desperate and nutty when I am confined to my bedroom for days at a time. I couldn't even make it to my computer until about an hour ago. Have you seen this info anywhere else? I never have. I am ordering a DNA test on myself. I really want to know if we Morgies really have plant DNA or not. If so, I can understand the CDC being so slow. This would upset the apple cart big time. The first human mutants! I want to know right now! I thought that life had hit me with just about everything and that I had learned to have a great deal of patience but I have no patience left. Karen W |

| It's an interesting thought about the plant DNA. I've been a vegetarian since I was 13 and just turned 40. I never felt plantish until this started. I have not heard anything, but will forward the info. to the office in SF,CA and ask them about it. I find it very interesting. I was where you are and it got much better as I cleaned the heck out of the house and myself. It was cleaning like I never did in my life and things were clean prior to this, until I dealt with this organism. Now, I have a sooty, linty film daily in the house and car. I still don't get it, but the meds made me better...much better, but still battling. M

| browncircles , No, not a mistake. My sis and I have been looking into this gene for some time. I have an email indicating the Oklahoma research group is checking it out also! Think about it. Only a small number of people have this genetic problem and if, of those only a small number have Lyme disease.....well what about the 2nd link? It lists Morgellon's under the same genetic defect! | Interesting....my sister sent me this: Cystic Fibrosis patients are one of the few people whose lungs become infected with agrobactrium (scroll to ABSTRCT): http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/art...gi?artid=85827 This mentions variant cystic fibrosis as a possible link with situs inversus. Notice the defective ion transporter: 1 q42 is the gene associated with situs inversis and Cystic Fibrosis. http://clinicaltrials.gov/ct/show/NCT00323167?order=1 Karen W |
