| Michelle and kritters, Visit the Lymebusters board below and read the posts on this same titled thread and let me know if it answers your questions. I'm sure it will not be conclusive because I don't think the absolute common term answers exist right now but I think some on that board have hit on real substance. http://lymebusters.proboards39.com/i...ead=1185074404 karen W |

| No Michelle you are not missing something. There are no definative answers yet, only speculation. May I ask what year you had the testing done? I am curious because I think you bring up strong evidence with those DNA and chromosome tests. Karen W |

| Hey Guys, Here is my original post with the updated link: Does anyone here know what the CDC is trying to say on this hidden webpage? http://rarediseasesinfo.aspensys.com...fo.asp?ID=1945 I believe I possibly have a mutation to chromosome band 1q42-1a43. Anyone else? I know this because my sister's daughter has situs inversus complete. My sister sent me this link about 5 days ago and I didn't realize what it was until today. Check this out too: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&r...42&btnG=Search *NOTE The CDC changed the web page on 7/23/07. To view the original take the 2nd link above and view the Google cache of the web page or paste and copy this link: http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:UbNwKxxsHhsJ:rarediseasesinfo.aspen sys.com/asp/diseases/diseaseinfo.asp%3FID%3D% 25%20201945+morgellon's+1q42&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=2&gl =us Karen W |

| OK chaos, Here is what I found re the disease I have. I think I posted earlier that we have been told our family has an insertion mutation. Does this mean anything with what you have found out? Linda The GLA gene is located on the long (q) arm of the X chromosome at position 22. More precisely, the GLA gene is located from base pair 100,539,452 to base pair 100,549,606 on the X chromosome.

| Lindalu, How utterly interesting!!!! You have such detailed info. This is definately related to the 1q. I'm not sure what, if any, similarities exist beyond that point. Chromosome 1 is the largest human chromosome. Chromosome 1 has two arms - the p arm and q arm. The q arm is usually involved with the multiplication of chromosomal material. I am going to turn to Skytroll on the Lymebusters board to find out if insertion mutation and duplication mean the same thing. I'll post what I can find out. May I post your info there? Or, if you like you can do it here: http://lymebusters.proboards39.com/i...5074404&page=4 I really hate jumping boards like this but each one has fragments of info that I am carrying back and forth. Karen W Thanks Lindalu, Karen W. |

| Karen Feel free to post it on the other website. I am not registered there. I am curious to find out what anyone knows. There is also a lot of fibromyalgia and some MS in the family. Linda

| whoops........i stumbled upon a thread that's vocabularily above my head. i'm like lady colorado..in layman's terms, this info might give me a headsup on my opinion. there's no history of retardation, fibromyalgia, ms or really any other disease in my family even tho most of the females have had displasia (sp?) or cancer in ovaries, womb or less often the breast. alzenheimer's in quite a few of the elderly (1 out of 5 maybe). so can someone expain what all this means in regular words? and what does it mean when you say "there's so few of us"? there doesn't seem to be "so few" to me. brenda

| brenda rella, In nature there is usually never any condition which is 100%. So even if this chromosome abnormality were to show up in many folks with morgellons (and no one know that there is a connection--this could have been a joke someone put on the NIH rare diseases site to watch the reaction on the morgellons sites) probably not everyone would have this genetic disorder. Too many variables in the human condition. Also I doubt if everyone who gets this will have lymes in the background. Maybe most, but I doubt that all will. Otherwise the human race would have died off many eons ago.
